To expand specialized training under the Enhanced Air Traffic-Collegiate Training Initiative, the U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced on Monday that the Federal Aviation Administration will be partnering with Nashua Community College. “Our new partnership with Nashua Community College will help us continue to attract the best and brightest to fill our air traffic control towers,” Duffy said in a statement. “To all the young Americans considering a career in this exciting field – your work will make flying safer and more efficient than ever.” Monday's announcement is the newest program “to be announced this year” in Duffy’s...

Some years ago, I saw in a friend’s kitchen a sign meant to place the house’s terms of engagement beyond dispute: “My dogs live here. The rest of you are just visiting.” Little did I know then that a bit of mass-produced kitsch could explain the higher-ed reformer’s central dilemma. Consider this year’s attempt by the UNC System to bring its schools in line with Trump Administration anti-DEI guidance. As recent events make clear, that effort may fail precisely because the public’s representatives cannot possibly turn over every campus rock or smoke out every defiant faculty member. Why not? As...

The U.S. military and Coast Guard are monitoring the simultaneous appearance of five Chinese icebreaking vessels in the Arctic region near Alaska. That unprecedented presence represents two and a half times the number of icebreakers currently capable of being operated in the entire Arctic region by the U.S. Coast Guard. Another is scheduled to be commissioned on Sunday and plans are underway to build dozens more. The Chinese icebreakers, which include a number of research-focused types, are being monitored by North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and U.S. Northern Command (NORTHCOM), a NORTHCOM spokesperson told The War Zone Thursday evening....

Audie Cornish must have the keenest hearing in the liberal media. Sure, many liberals claim to hear supposedly racist Republican dog whistles. But Cornish can detect a dog whistle before it's even pronounced! Call it a double-secret dog whistle on probation! On today's CNN This Morning, in a segment on President Trump's plan to clean up Washington, D.C. and clamp down on crime there, Cornish said: "So we're back to this language, right? The no-go zones, the like, this is the worst place in the entire world. Yeah, talking about juveniles. I'm like, people are one beat away from saying...

While a new Pentagon policy makes it easier for Marines to acquire and experiment with small drones, the U.S. military faces a catastrophic drone gap with Russia and China. A recent exercise highlighted the poor performance of the few approved, American-made models. The root of the problem is a nearly extinct domestic manufacturing base, leaving the U.S. unable to produce drones at scale without relying on Chinese components.

VIDEOTwo loons. The second one is using the same sick script via voiceover as the first one. It is not certain if the first loon is using someone else's voice since her normal voice does not quite match the sick snarky voice you hear on this video. In both cases they could be in trouble. Not coming right out and saying what they wish but strongly hinting at it while Mozart's Funeral Mass music is playing is more than enough to place both of them on a watch list at the very least. Sick stuff. Oh, and if their not...

The upcoming Trump-Putin summit in Alaska, aimed at securing a peace deal for Ukraine, is being framed as a dangerous strategic error. Legitimizing Russia’s territorial conquests would set a horrible precedent, repeating the mistakes of the 1939 Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact and potentially inspiring future Russian revanchist claims on Alaska itself. Any agreement is likely to be meaningless, as Putin has no genuine interest in a lasting peace.

In Texas, the Republican majority in the legislature wants to redraw the boundaries of several congressional districts. Democrats are boycotting the legislature in an attempt to prevent this outcome. The Republican majority has issued arrest warrants, but the boycotters have taken refuge outside the jurisdiction of the warrants. Some fled to Massachusetts and others to Illinois. The current number of Texas' congressional seats held by each Party are 25 for Republicans to 12 for Democrats (a 68% to 32% edge for Republicans over Democrats). If the Republican redistricting plan goes through it is projected to change the ratio to 30...

Luke 12:6-7 (King James Version) Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. President Trump just rewrites the standards of President of the United States while proudly filling the mantle of Leader of the Free World. Unless you are a braindead DimocRat who swears total allegiance to the Party, Trump has to impress you on his ability to get things done both economically and socially. For so many Americans...

You’re living in a Sci-Fi movie, they just want you too dazed and confused to know it. Over the past four years or so, since the advent of the COVID-19 bioweapon injections, numerous people across the world have been flabbergasted. The refrains are often the same. Never seen anything like it. Thirty years of practice and this is a first. Can’t explain it. Don’t understand it. Can’t believe what I’m actually seeing. Personally, I’ve felt the same way. At first, you’re ridiculed for even bringing it up, then people begrudgingly accept that it might exist, but they minimize it. They...

Jeffrey Epstein’s butler of 18 years told The Telegraph on Friday that there’s no way the sexual predator killed himself and highlighted his employer’s close relationship with Bill Clinton, even providing photographs of the former president aboard the infamous “Loilta Express” plane. Although the media is currently obsessed with what kind of connection President Donald Trump had to Epstein, the Clintons have been conveniently forgotten. That is, until recently. Hillary and Bill have both been subpoenaed by Rep. James Comer, a Republican from Kentucky who serves as the chairman of the House Oversight Committee. They’ll likely be asked about their...

In war-torn Sudan, hungry civilians are reportedly eating animal feed as women and girls face a "gender emergency". El Fasher has the highest cost of basic goods nationwide at nearly $1,000 per household per month, which is far beyond the reach of most families. This includes more than $700 for food alone - more than eight times the cost of basic food items in other parts of the country. Aid deliveries had been blocked for over a year, and a sanitation campaign was launched to prevent disease outbreaks in displacement sites. In Blue Nile State, cholera cases have surged to...

President Donald Trump has signed an executive order called Improving Oversight of Federal Grantmaking, aimed at improving oversight of federal grantmaking, reshaping how grants are awarded by the U.S. government. Despite the U.S. government's saying that it will prevent waste and ensure tax money is used properly, it will have a profound impact on international research collaboration, particularly for African researchers, institutions, and communities, writes Juanita Williams for allAfrica.
