The People of Sudan Are Eating Animal Feed
AllAfrica ^

Posted on 08/10/2025 2:37:24 PM PDT by nickcarraway

In war-torn Sudan, hungry civilians are reportedly eating animal feed as women and girls face a "gender emergency".

El Fasher has the highest cost of basic goods nationwide at nearly $1,000 per household per month, which is far beyond the reach of most families. This includes more than $700 for food alone - more than eight times the cost of basic food items in other parts of the country.

Aid deliveries had been blocked for over a year, and a sanitation campaign was launched to prevent disease outbreaks in displacement sites. In Blue Nile State, cholera cases have surged to nearly 2,800 since late June, with over 40 new infections recorded yesterday alone, with 14 deaths have been reported.

The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warned of a deteriorating situation that is putting even more civilians' lives at risk, especially in El Fasher. OCHA's Director of Operations and Advocacy, Edem Wosornu, said the suffering is immense, with people trapped, displaced, or returning to communities in ruins. Wosornu called for unimpeded access and urgent support to reach those on the frontlines of hardship.

Do you notice no one care about starving Sudanese, but they do about allegedly starving Palestinians?

It’s only a problem when there is a way to blame White people for it ...

Good gracious. At least they have something to eat.

You’re certainly on the right track. It’s only a problem if at least one of these three can be blamed:

White People
Donald Trump
Climate Change

And I don’t mean to make light of what’s happening in Sudan. There is much misery in this world. An honest media could prevent at least some of that.

you are right. Sudan not on list.

Folks,

We spend less that 10% of our income for food, be thankful. 2022 data. BUT THE GOOD NEWS, IS WE ARE MOVING UP.

Well… what are we supposed to do about it? More importantly, are the Israelis responsible?!

Never been to Sudan but I have been to Tanzania (and elsewhere in Africa). During my first visit (1981) we were on a drive from Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater. Driving along a dusty "road" with very little to see apart from semi-desert we happened upon a woman standing there selling corn with a young child at her side. The child had red/orange hair,a huge belly and little stick legs. I had never seen anything like it before. I only found out later that that's what a black child with chronic severe malnutrition looks like. I mention black because you'd expect such a child to have black hair.

It's an image that will stay with me until the day I die.

White farmers have been pretty much driven out of Zimbabwe and white farmers are now being killed off in South Africa. So Kinison’s solution would be close to impossible today.

No surgeons or chemicals to turn starving males into starving females.

The colonialists leaving Afraid to rule itself is the worse thing that ever happened to the African continent. The warlords and jihadists have taken over.
