According to the official report by the Secretary of State's Bureau of Elections, the coalition of unions behind the proposal called "Protect Our Jobs" over-estimated the number of signatures it gathered by 129,111, or more than the population of Sterling Heights, Michigan's fourth largest city. However, supporters of the union proposal still continue to claim that 684,286 signatures were turned in to the Secretary of State and are even rounding it up to "nearly 700,000" or simply just 700,000. According to the official report by the Secretary of State, the total number of signatures turned in by the POJ campaign...

TO THE EDITOR: Now that Mitt Romney has selected his running mate, it is clear that this election will be viewed as the adults against the children. One party wants everything for free and screams like little babies if someone dares to tell them that the country cannot afford to give them handouts. The other party wants to reduce the amount of entitlements in order to both save the country and to minimize the amount of debt that will be passed on to everyone’s children and grandchildren. This election will also be about substance and class warfare. One party will...

Whether you like Mitt or not, Ann gave a darn good speech last night!

When the Democrat National Convention hate America festival gets started it will begin with a “Jummah” or Muslim prayer group. There will be about 20,000 people gathered for a celebration of the Islamists plans to eventually overthrow our government and replace our Constitutional government with a Sharia controlled theocracy. This begs the question: who will be there and what do they represent? The leaders of the Jummah will be Jibril Hough and Imam Siraj Wahha. Both men have a long track record of hatred for America and our way of life – especially the freedom of women to live productive...

Unions, be it for postal workers or car manufacturers, exert significant political clout in America. The public sector unions, in particular, have seen significant growth in recent decades. “For the past half century government employee unions have been winning,” argued Mallory Factor at a recent Heritage event. “The unions’ power and privilege has been ratcheted up, never down, and it has been ratcheted up toward greater union power neverless.” It’s our job to reverse that pattern and restore sanity and fiscal policy to our country.” “What I discovered [when writing my book] is that shadow bosses are setting the agenda,”...

This afternoon on MSNBC’s Hardball with Chris Matthews, host Chris Matthews revealed a photograph of what he claims is the book that contains Republican racial code words. The photograph shows an old and worn leather bound book that appears to have several hundred pages. Matthews said the photograph was sent to him by a former Bain investor who told him the book pictured is the one that Republicans, including presidential candidate Mitt Romney, have used as a source for racial coding since the Reagan era. After showing the photograph Matthews exploded with emotion. “We now have the proof that exposes...

I was browsing thru my e-mail when I happened on the Daily Ccaller. If you read it you'll see why Rachel Maddow is on so much. One of the left’s favorite attacks on the Republican Party is that it is the party of old white people, devoid of diversity and probably racist. If you were watching MSNBC’s coverage of the Republican National Convention in Tampa on Tuesday night, you might believe those assertions, since missing from the coverage was nearly every ethnic minority that spoke during Tuesday’s festivities. In lieu of airing speeches from former Democratic Rep. Artur Davis, a...

A company in 2009 with just 75 employees was projected to grow so large that the plant it wanted to open in Michigan would create 27,142 jobs by 2024, or roughly the size of the entire population of the city of Garden City. Sound too good to be true? Not if you buy into the math used by advocates of the renewable energy ballot proposal and some of the mainstream media. That 2009 company is A123 Systems and the Michigan Economic Development Corp. (MEDC) projected the battery manufacturer would create 2,217 jobs by 2024, not 27,142. The 27,142 jobs would...

In lieu of airing speeches from former Democratic Rep. Artur Davis, a black American; Mia Love, a black candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives from Utah; and Texas senatorial hopeful Ted Cruz, a Latino American, MSNBC opted to show commentary anchored by Rachel Maddow from Rev. Al Sharpton, Ed Schultz, Chris Matthews, Chris Hayes and Steve Schmidt. Throughout this convention, Matthews has accused the Republicans of playing dog-whistle racist politics while on scene in Tampa. It isn’t clear, however, if Matthews will hurl accusations of racism at Davis, Love or Cruz for speeches his network failed to broadcast.

America is at a crucial tipping point in its illustrious history. The socialist minded presidential principles of Obama have joined with millions of illegal aliens who have been given a presidential pass to demand entry through your gates to rights and privileges given citizens. They can ignore federal and state citizenship laws, and walk openly into your cities to demand housing in your neighborhoods. Illegal aliens can insist upon free health care at your hospitals and soon sue for the right to the keys to your child’s college education. This is not the future in America…This is America today, this...

Interesting to me this morning to read renowned gay advocate David Badash's (New Civil Rights Movement in America)piece : "Exposed: Koch Brothers, Karl Rove, Tea Party ‘Coming Together’ With Anti-Gay Groups". I have been wondering for some time whether the Tea Party would have any sort of effective power of political back-lash against the whole gay marriage/gay equality agenda. Now I see that Badash is recognizing this and stating his concerns about it openly. I see signs here that a social conservative pushback - one that is organized and effective - may finally be in the offing. In his piece...

I know conservatives have their issues with him, and he deserves it. However, there were some really good lines that will be worth repeating, REGARDLESS of the messenger, from now 'til November...

This one is for you, Jim Thompson! By hahyrningur Or maybe it’s for Jim Robinson. The left can’t seem to keep them apart. Anyway, Jim (Thompson or Robinson) runs the conservative forum Free Republic which for many years has been one of the main lightning rods for socialist, islamist and nazist hate in America. Denizens of that forum are called Freepers. I am won. Over the years, the Freepers have chalked up some pretty impressive and decisive victories. Remember “Sore/Loserman”, the graphic that played a huge role in defeating the Gore/Lieberman ticket? Freerepublic. Ripping the cloak of lies off Dan...

Islamic Jew hatred. it's holy, it's in the quran. The leader of the Muslim world aligned with Hitler and lived in the lap of luxury (on Hitler's dime) in Berlin from the ages of 1941 to 1945. There he, among other evil actions, made bloodthirsty weekly radio addresses to the Muslim world and axis powers inciting genocide against the Jewish people citing quran chapter and verse. The Mufti al-Husseini was responsible for the death of 400,000 Jewish women and Jewish children at Auschwitz. Alas, some things never change. "Rabbi and six-year-old daughter attacked in Berlin" World Jewish Congress, August 29,...

Mackinac Center analysts have long been critical of the way consultants — and frequently their clients — misuse economic modeling software. We were reminded why with the recent publication of two papers purporting to show large job creation, if only state voters would approve a renewable energy mandate on the statewide November ballot. The initiative, commonly known as the Michigan Renewable Energy Amendment, would mandate that 25 percent of Michigan's energy usage be provided by renewable sources by the year 2025. There is at least one major problem with each study, however: costs. The study authors' did not include the...

The selection of Paul Ryan as Mitt Romney's running mate sent a powerful message - that the economy will be the key issue of this election. As I go back and forth arguing with my lefty pals we naturally disagree over what ails our economy. Their arguments are that we're not doing enough to tax the wealthy and put it in the hands of our government to spread the wealth around and get our economy moving again. I always point out things like our trillion dollar debt, looming entitlements collapse, ever increasing regulation, and continuous threats of higher taxes from...

I always said small diesel automobiles are the future...not hybrids, not electric cars. I used to be a Chevy guy, but no more; Ford is the American automobile company to watch. With his new 58 mpg turbo-diesel B-Max model (sold in Europe), Ford demonstrates clean diesel technology is the future. Not hybrid, not electric, not pixie-dust powered.

This is excerpted from an earlier post during the last Presidential primary season. I pulled the quotes from the excellent resource website, “On The Issues.” See if you can identify the speaker as Mitt Romney, or Hillary Clinton: 1) “I am adamantly against illegal immigrants. People have got to stop employing illegal immigrants. you see loads of people waiting to get picked up to go do yard work & construction work & domestic work.” 2) “We have to have our citizens insured, and we’re not going to do that by tax exemptions, because the people that don’t have insurance aren’t...

Last night Michelle Obama used lines from Rules for Radicals, a radical Far Left book by Saul Alinsky (“father of community organizing” and a notorious far-left radical) in her DNC Convention speech. Gateway Pundit nailed her: What to make of Michelle Obama’s use the terms, “The world as it is” and “The world as it should be?” From whence do they originate? Try Chapter 2 of Saul Alinsky’s book, Rules for Radicals. “Barack stood up that day,” talking about a visit to Chicago neighborhoods, “and spoke words that have stayed with me ever since. He talked about “The world as...

There are just things that are beyond the pale of human decency. Even in a political atmosphere where liberals often act with impunity for their racist, hateful comments, the actions progressives took last night and this morning are disgusting, even for the Left. Ann Romney is a wife, a mother, a cancer survivor, and currently has MS. She also supports and loves her husband. What does she get for voicing her support? Death threats and those calling for her to die. As you might expect, liberals expect her to assume a stereotypical role of either being quiet or being a...
