In the days prior to the gigantic earthquake that devastated Sichuan province in China, odd swarms of frogs were seen in the streets of cities in the area, and have subsequently been identified as unusual animal behavior of the type that is thought by some geologists to precede earthquakes. Now it has developed that similar frog appearances have been taking place in Bakersfield,California for about two weeks, and nobody is sure why. Strange swarms of frogs also appeared before the 6.9 Loma Prieta Earthquake in October of 1989.

I love DUmmie astrology threads primarily because they take this nonsense sooooo seriously. Notice how they are very specific about how the alignment of the planets (including Uranus) and the moons affected events in the past such, in this case, as Hillary's failed healthcare plan in 1994 but very hazy about anything in the future. So hazy that they can claim that astrological predictions were dead on almost no matter what happens. Okay, I'll confess the REAL reason why I am DUFUing this DUmmie THREAD. With a title like "Saturn and Hillary (with a dash of Uranus)" how could...

FR often acts as a conservative echo chamber. It is obvious that many conservative pundits and hosts visit the site. To that end I think this will be helpful to get some quotes into the Zeitgeist. There are many famous quotes of those who fought Appeasement in the 1930's, but I think it is far more telling to read the quotes of the Appeasers themselves, because it is only then that you realize that appeasement was not a dirty word forced on them, but rather something they proudly wore. These words also so closely mirror the mouthings of modern Democrats...

Believe it or not, The New Republic is doing the "Lord's Work" in exposing the crime syndicate Obama is part of. Read the whole thing despite the obligatory swipe at Bush. The Teamsters in Chicago are continually linked to organized crime--so why is a presidential candidate from that city promising to end federal oversight of the union?

Paying for our own Demise I was watching the end of Hannity and cowardly Colmes last night. Mr. Hannity was speaking about how just as early as next year that Americans may be paying up to $10 a gallon of gas. Just imagine what the Islamofascists will do with all that extra oil money.... http://islaminaction08.blogspot.com/2008/04/paying-for-our-own-demise.html
  • Rebalancing The Middle East After Iran Goes Nuclear

Tom Barnett’s newest column makes some proposals for dealing with a nuclear Iran. His fundamental assumption is that there’s no way at this point, short of a major ground war in Iran, to prevent Tehran from achieving their nuclear ambitions. I completely agree with Barnett that, on the current course the West has chosen, a nuclear Iran is an inevitibility; however, his prescriptions for dealing with Tehran after they’ve made a bomb are problematic. In short, Barnett proposes that a system of mutually assured destruction be set up in the region between Israel, Iran and a nuclear Saudi Arabia, with...

The course of the Democrat primaries this year has surprised everyone: most pundits figured going in that Hillary Clinton had the nomination all sewn up, and that by next year she would be crossing the country on "Broomstick One". But a funny thing happened on the way to the coronation. Another candidate, named Barack [Censored] Obama. Charles Krauthammer has written a brilliant and insightful piece on the errors made by Hillary Clinton's team, and how they contributed to Senator Obama's success. But I feel that his analysis did not credit the brilliance of the candidate himself. Obama has correctly sensed...

There she stands before the crowd Never in her life has she been proud Bad America is in her thought She said it out loud and got caught Now she spins those truths to lies But her dishonesty is no surprise She campaigns with a phony smile Hating America all the while She’s a woman with a bigoted mind But to challenge her would be unkind And as the race draws to a close What’s our future, no one knows One thing for sure that you can bet When it’s over, many will live to regret The winner of the...

Kass made a fortune shorting housing stocks before the sub-prime crisis. This is an indication he thinks ahead, and certaiinly does not follow the crowd. So what’s he short now, that the crowd wouldn’t dare short? He is short Berkshire Hathaway stock. Berkshire Hathaway is, of course, operated by master billionaire investor Warren Buffett. Kass has put together an 11 point research paper listing his reasons for shorting Berkshire. In point 1, he writes, there will never be another Warren Buffett, which is just another way of saying when Buffett is gone the gig is over. Thus, in point 1,...

The Republicans in Congress continue to baffle me. They are spending all of their time trying to use the marketing tool of “re-branding” the party, while at the same time they refuse to vote against terrible public policy. The most recent example is the disastrous farm bill that the Senate passed overwhelmingly. The House has already passed the bill, and although President Bush will veto it, Congress will likely override the veto. As long as the Republicans in Congress pay lip service to conservatism while voting like liberals, they deserve to lose in November. Those leading the Republicans down the...

The long battle between Senator Barack Obama (D-Ill.) and Senator Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) for their party’s presidential nomination has stoked concerns that irreconcilable differences may prevent a unified front in November’s general election. A recent Zogby poll confirmed this fear. When asked what should be most important in choosing the party’s presidential nominee, 51 percent of Democrats polled said “skin color,” while 49 percent said “sex organs.” “It’s frustrating,” said Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean. “Each of our two presidential contenders has an irrefutable claim to the office. As a victim of racism, Senator Obama is entitled to the...

I’ve written several columns about my skepticism regarding Darwinism. Each time I do I receive snooty comments attesting to my stupidity and my ignorance. The Darwinists never seem to want to discuss any of the points I have tried to make, just to ridicule the very thought that there may be some kind of guiding intelligence behind the structures, the amounts of information, the complexities, the fine balance and the mysteries of life and our universe. If anything is subject to ridicule, it is the answer that the world’s leading proponent and defender of Darwinian dogma, Richard Dawkins, gave to...

"All Cretans Are Liars" The Dems in the process of reprocessing American history and culture have hatched so many errant buzz phrases it is hard to keep up with them. "Black people cannot be racist," has been the theme since I was at university back in the 1970's. After being subjected to such nonsense as well as other contrived liberal philosophies, I left the college forever. "Only white people can be racist," because "they have the power." However, minorities through affirmative action and their own industriousness have acquired power in universities, government, entertainment, sports, business and other realms - and...

Unless some other candidate enters the race I will be voting for you in November. However, that is only because neither of the likely Democratic candidates has the experience to be the nation's Chief Executive Officer. Your acceptance of the nonsense about purported "global warming", which Meteorologist John Coleman calls "the greatest scam in history", indicates a level of gullibility that is undesirable in presidents. I can understand how American leaders would believe that Saddam Hussein still had significant amounts of Weapons of Mass Destruction. Hussein had used such weapons in the past and there was no evidence he had...

How woefully ignorant is the Democratic front-runner on matters of national security, international relations and the intractable conflicts that have plagued the Middle East for decades? The recent foreign policy statements of the former community organizer have demonstrated such incorrigibly poor judgment and appalling naivete that three prominent Democrats have seen fit to distance themselves from Obama’s ludicrous position, which he somehow views as virtuous, of meeting unconditionally with the nations enemies. Senator Joe Biden tells us that Obama, “gave the wrong answer” in last July’s YouTube debate, but he assures us that Obama has, “learned a hell of a...
