The immigration debate returned to the state Capitol on Tuesday as civil rights activists condemned legislators who are crafting tougher state immigration laws. “These misguided legislators are pushing the same snake oil laws,” said Ed Romo, local vice president of the League of United Latin American Citizens. Romo and other civil rights activists urged legislators to reject immigration proposals being eyed by certain Republicans. State Rep.
