Joseph was received into the Secular Franciscan Order in 2001. Joseph is a US Army Veteran and has degrees in biblical studies and Christian counseling as well as graduate studies in theology and spiritual direction. He worked for a number of years on staff with The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association in their Spiritual Guidance department.
