  • George Floyd Autonomous Zone Issues 'Rules For White People'

A "George Floyd Autonomous Zone" has been created in Minneapolis that has a list of "rules for white people." According to the bulletin, white people must abide by these ridiculous rules in order to enter the area, which was created around where Floyd died last May. Entering the area as a white person comes with potential risks if you make the mistake of behaving in a “problematic” manner. All visitors are asked to wear face masks and act with “humility,” but a lengthier list of rules for white people explains how they will be treated differently.

The NFAC leader’s real name is John Fitzgerald Johnson. He is a former soldier, a failed political candidate, a hip-hop DJ, a rambling egotist, and a prolific self-promoter. His life sometimes seems like a long disinformation campaign about itself. *snip* Jay claims that the NFAC first appeared publicly when nine white supremacists came to Dayton, Ohio, in May 2019. No one seems to have noticed the coalition then, amid some 600 other counterprotesters. In 2020, however, it showed up in larger numbers (Jay claims thousands, but hundreds seems more realistic) at protests over Confederate monuments and over the killing of...

A controversial new public service announcement from Cartoon Network encourages children to "see color" when they look at other kids. Only by looking through the lens of color, it says, can a person learn to be anti-racist. "It's important to see people in all their beautiful colors. When you see color and the unique experiences that come from it, you can recognize the role racism plays in our culture and appreciate everyone and their diversity," reads the description of the ad written by the creator of "Steven Universe."https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJkVgGYm4xo&feature=emb_title In the ad, a white and black character, along with a purple...

Cassandra Fairbanks from The Gateway Pundit reports, The “Black National Anthem” was sung during the Michigan Electoral College proceedings — following the actual national anthem. The song is called “Lift Every Voice and Sing” and was dubbed the “Negro National Anthem” by the NAACP in 1919. ...

A previously unpublished interview with a Nation of Islam minister has revealed a detailed account of a secret two-hour meeting involving Malcolm X and the Ku Klux Klan that discussed an extraordinary unholy alliance. The conversation on January 28, 1961, detailed in a forthcoming biography of Jeremiah Shabazz, reveals how, on behalf of Nation of Islam leader Elijah Muhammad, Malcolm X and a fellow minister sought the white supremacist terrorist group’s help in acquiring a “separate state” for black Americans opposed to integration. According to Malcolm X’s fellow minister, the Klansmen offered Nation members the right to wear “purple robes”...

A woman dining outdoors who was harassed by protesters in Washington, D.C., wrote an op-ed saying she didn’t like being bullied for not raising her first, but that she still supports the Black Lives Matter movement. Lauren Victor, a photographer and urban planner, has since taken part in Black Lives Matter demonstrations since the incident, according to an opinion piece she wrote for The Washington Post on Friday. “I wholeheartedly support the Black Lives Matter movement,” Victor wrote. “I also support an individual’s choice to participate in a protest, or not.” “In retrospect, I would have done the same thing...

Boston and Dallas have one each. New York City has not one, but two Malcolm X boulevards, along with a playground. Washington D.C. has Malcolm X Avenue. The Los Angeles City Council renamed the intersection near the Bilal Islamic Center, Malcolm X Way. These are a few of the hundreds of streets, schools, and assorted other civic infrastructure named after the black supremacist leader who worked together with the KKK and the American Nazi Party.

Diversity and inclusion isn’t going so well at Syracuse University. In response to anti-black and anti-Asian graffiti found in a bathroom and bulletin board in a campus dorm last week, students are holding a sit-in and making several demands of the administration, according to The Daily Orange. One of those demands: the ability to deny roommates based on their race.

This month and next dozens of universities across the nation, from private top-tier schools to public state institutions, will host segregated graduation ceremonies and celebrations for their black graduates. These supplementary ceremonies are voluntary and are offered in addition to the universities’ regular graduations. Sometimes they’re co-hosted by black campus resource centers and various academic departments. They serve to give extra honors and recognition to black students earning their degrees. The popularity in offering these segregated graduations also seems to be growing. A new report by the National Association of Scholars that looked at 173 schools found that 76 of...

A recent Williams College student government meeting was disrupted by several black-activist students who yelled at the group for what they said they perceived as a lack of respect from their white peers, with one student saying “to be here is like sucking white d*** every f***ing day.” “See when black people try to create space on this campus … it’s always a f***ing problem,” a black male student told the College Council on April 9 in a rant that was live streamed on Facebook from the student government’s Facebook page. At issue was a funding request from members of...

A Reddit page dedicated to black issues has declared that white people are no longer allowed to post there anymore. The forum, r/BlackPeopleTwitter, posted an “important announcement,” which stated, “Due to the overwhelming number of white people and white opinions present on BTP, we are now restricting access to this sub for black folks only.” Non-black people then responded to the post by humiliating themselves, embracing their white guilt, and begging to be allowed to post again. “Super white dude here. I’d like to apply for the token white guy position,” responded one white user. “I won’t post or comment...

Race was front and center on Wednesday night during a meeting coordinated to garner support for just one black candidate in Savannah’s mayoral election. With signs stating “Black press only” on the doors of the church where the meeting was held, white reporters were barred from entry, while black reporters for at least two television stations were permitted inside. The event was coordinated by the Rev. Clarence Teddy Williams, owner of the consulting firm, The Trigon Group, who declined to discuss the entry policy. Former Savannah Mayor Edna Jackson declined to comment before going inside, as did Chatham County Commissioner...

Members access the space, located in Central Brooklyn, by having their fingers scanned and giving a passcode. Upon entering, they find a lounge, complete with couches, a barber chair and books on finance. The spiral staircase leads to an area with workstations. Inside on a recent day, a man who works as a consultant helped five others get businesses certified. Another launched a campaign to run for City Council, engaging members to assist in outreach. An author presented research in a forum. The Gentlemen’s Factory brought them all together. As one of the very few spaces in New York City...

In the initial media churn, they were nearly missed. But a small band of Hebrew Israelites, members of a historic but little-known American religious movement, may actually be at the center of a roiling controversy that has gripped the nation in recent days. It began with a now-viral video clip, filmed Friday at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, in which high school students from a Catholic school in Kentucky appeared to be in a faceoff with a Native American elder, who was beating on a drum. The boys, some wearing red hats with President Trump’s 2016 campaign slogan, appeared in...

The clothing chain Forever 21 said they were sorry for hiring a white model to sell its new “Black Panther” sweater, which has the words “Wakanda Forever” on the front. Of course, the film “Black Panther” broke ground, not only in the box office, but for being the first Black superhero movie to get major studio backing. The predominantly Black cast was also a different look for a superhero film, so many believed the person who modeled the sweater should’ve been Black....

It’s only racist when white people promote themselves and not racist when others do because “Those who defend advancing white interests point to people of colour who have organized politically to advance their identity’s interests. When people of colour have propagated their identity interests, it is always done to achieve economic and social liberation on par with white people. When Black people organized Black Lives Matter, whether in Toronto or Baltimore, it was to achieve the same treatment by the police and the state that white people receive. In response, the white identitarians proclaimed “All Lives Matter.” They rejected the...

A recently installed mural on the University Of Southern California’s campus is causing controversy after it called to “dismantle whiteness.” The banner, which reads “DISMANTLE WHITENESS AND MISOGYNY ON THIS CAMPUS,” was installed under a highly frequented archway near the school’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. It is intended to start a conversation about tolerance and raise awareness for “racism, sexism and xenophobia,” its masterminds say. The masterminds behind the poster are USC’s Institute for Diversity and Empowerment (IDEA), students in a course called “Women: Designing Media for Social Change,” and social change advocacy group “When Women Disrupt.” These...

Editor’s Note: This story contains spoilers for the film Black Panther. Black Panther’s Wakanda is a near-utopic vision of how a country could look; perhaps the best depiction of Afrofuturism ever captured on film. There were thriving and ideological-diverse cities surrounded by expansive and bucolic countrysides. There was modern technology perfectly weaved in to cultural tradition, a melding that was symbiotic instead of antagonistic. And while I didn’t see this happening during the movie, I’m sure Wakanda has amazing bottomless brunches. Unfortunately, a present-day attempt to recreate Wakanda would be unrealistic. Mainly because we’re roughly 20,000 years behind Wakandan tech....
