Diversity and inclusion isn’t going so well at Syracuse University.
In response to anti-black and anti-Asian graffiti found in a bathroom and bulletin board in a campus dorm last week, students are holding a sit-in and making several demands of the administration, according to The Daily Orange.
One of those demands: the ability to deny roommates based on their race.

Usually these seem to go in one direction, that of anti-white discrimination.

Got rid of my first roommate. He was a party boy from the big city and I did not have tolerance for that. He had allergies so I stuffed the AC vent with ragweed. I got a little worried thinking I may have killed him. The hacking got pretty bad before he left.

The Navigators campus Christian group encouraged us to ask the dorm managers for international students so as to better share Christ with those who might not know Him. One year I was paired with a Vietnamese student, one year an African-American and one year an Anglo pot-smoking Yankee with a bizarre sense of humor. I couldn’t convert any of them.
They don’t have much sense of humor, either.
Barry Goldwater was against the Civil Rights Act. Took away one’s freedom of association. I can see the same here. No one questions Goldwater’s bona fides.
And, this has to do with the topic .......... how?
In a trial in a British court against an accused nazi doctor, the jury awarded damages to the doctor for “two pence”, ie, two cents.
He “won” the defamation case, but didn’t collect anything for it.
Maybe the same might be done here.

Pretty sure the Fair Housing Act applies to college dorms. A lawsuit would be funny here.

Right you are. But I was a goofy college kid. I’m wiser now.
I filed a complaint to get rid of my first roommate who was a prostitute for wealthy DFW businessmen. The next roommate cried 24/7 because she couldn’t live without her bf back home so took herself home and gave up a full ride scholarship. The next one cooed like a dove constantly so I encouraged her bf to marry her quickly. I finally learned a $7 processing fee would get me a room by myself.
