Just got a call from a nice old lady from Qunnipiac University conducting a poll. I'll try to remember all of the questions and somewhat of an order but it cracked me up on the type of questions - seemed like red meat from Fox or FR!! Here goes... Do you pay attention mostly/somewhat/not at all to national/political issues? Do you approve/disapprove of Obama's handling of the economy? Do you approve/disapprove of Obama's handling of world affairs? Do you approve/disapprove of the direction the country is going? Do you want Congress to pass Healthcare even if it means raising taxes?...

I thought the most newsworthy comment of the week by an inside-the-Beltway kibbitzer was this by Howard Fineman: “Everybody’s trying to take their measure of Barack Obama, all the power players in Washington. And frankly, they think they can roll him.” Now David Broder, “dean of the Washington Press Corps” [legally-required description] has said something very similar . . . Writing in his “End of the Honeymoon” column of today, Broder observes [emphasis added]:

"Yesterday I traveled to Idaho. I was able to address Chief Justice Roberts during the question answer session after his lecture. There were numerous cameras recording this event and simultaneous feed broadcast to all the campuses of the University of Idaho. Roughly 5,000 people in all the campuses had an opportunity to hear what I had to say, it is in video archives and now everybody knows the truth and knows that leftist media thugs such as Seattle Washington Observer shamelessly twist the truth to fit their Pro Obama blind idiot agenda ..."

An Indiana county municipal official in the vicinity of Chicago reveals the contents of his meetings with FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security. The initial requests seem reasonable enough when FEMA asks the county officials to prepare a Hazard Mitigation Plan to deal with flooding, fires, high winds and tornadoes. But as the required meetings and calls with FEMA and DHS continue over a two year period their request become more unusual, raising suspicions of county officials

Rush refers to Obama as BAM or BAMster. Where do those words come from? They're not his initials. Are they just a nickname? Thanks.
