The biggest threat to competition and consumers in our time is the collusion of big business and big government. As a case in point, see how AT&T is urging the Federal Communications Commission to hobble rival T-Mobile. AT&T last week asked the FCC to limit how much mid-band spectrum providers can acquire in future government auctions. AT&T wants a provider to be required to get government clearance to acquire more than a third of this prime broadband real estate in a given geographic area. As a primer, millimeter spectrum is useful in covering dense population areas, but it can’t travel...

Trump's North Carolina speech was the first time a state Republican party publicly embraced Trump . And it did so on the eve of the five-month anniversary of the January 6 attack on the Capitol, which FBI Director Christopher Wray testified was an act of "domestic terrorism." Trump repeated the very lies that incited the Jan 6 insurrection, calling the 2020 election "the crime of the century." Trump radicalized Americans to believe his "Big Lie" that he was the real winner of the election -- a claim that led his supporters to storm the Capitol to try to stop certification...

AT&T says it will receive an $43 billion in a combination of cash and debt ===================================================================== AT&T said Monday the U.S. telecommunication giant has reached a deal to combine its content unit, WarnerMedia, with Discovery, an agreement that would help the major Hollywood studios compete with such rivals as Netflix and Disney. AT&T says it will receive an $43 billion in a combination of cash, debt and WarnerMedia’s retention of certain debt, according to CNBC. The deal, if approved by regulators, effectively reverses AT&T’s years-long plan to combine content and distribution in a vertically integrated company. The deal would create...

CNN has seen ratings plummet since former President Donald Trump left the White House, according to a Fox News report on Nielsen Media Research data. The network averaged 2.5 million primetime viewers between the day after the election— November 4, 2020 — and Inauguration Day on January 20, 2021, Fox News reported. Primetime viewers also ditched CNN in...

Somebody send over to CNN and their media reporters Oliver Darcy and Brian Stelter the journalistic ethics guide. Not the whole thing; just page one. Or maybe just paragraph one. Circle the part that says, “It is unethical to use your journalistic position to obtain special favors from public officials.” Then ask: Why hasn’t Chris Cuomo been fired? What he’s done is the very definition of corruption. Look it up in your Merriam-Webster: there’s now a picture of Chris Cuomo holding up a giant cotton swab. If, during the darkest days of the pandemic, Donald Trump had taken scarce COVID...

Where were the suits now pulling out of GOP donations when Democrats ignored due process in the 2018 Justice Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearings? As The Federalist has continued to expose, corporate America has a double standard for its PAC donations based on arbitrary and partisan distinctions. Since virtue-signaling multinational corporations claim to be so intent on rescinding campaign contribution dollars to the GOP to retaliate against members of Congress who did not vote to certify the 2020 presidential election, this presents a reciprocal question. Where were the suits when Democrats ignored due process in the 2018 Justice Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearings?...

In the wake of the suspicious Christmas morning bombing of an AT&T network sites located about a block away from the telecom giant’s regional offices in downtown Nashville, both the perpetrators and their motives remain unknown. Regardless of what comes to pass, there is a link between AT&T, Dominion Voting Systems, and Chinese Communist Party that is worth taking a closer look at. This possible connection centers on AT&T Chairman William E. Kennard. Kennard, who also sits on the Board of Directors for Ford Motor Company, MetLife, Duke Energy, and Staple Street Capital, the private equity firm that is the...

Appearing last night on Hannity, James OKeefe joked about an advent-calendar-like daily set of presents for CNN and its CEO Jeff Zucker. If you haven’t heard already, Project Veritas has been recording telephone conference calls at CNN, courtesy of an inside whistleblower, according to what O’Keefe told Hannity (video embedded below). While CNN is fulminating about a lawsuit, O’Keefe is confident in his legal advisers’ position that recording and releasing the calls is legal. CNN’s new corporate parent, AT&T, is rumored to be trying to sell the network in order to reduce its corporate debt. There are already worries that...

James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas released the first of its apparent audio recordings of CNN editorial calls with network president Jeff Zucker on Tuesday evening, promising more releases of what O’Keefe says is two months’ worth of CNN internal dialogues. Earlier Tuesday, O’Keefe live-streamed what he identified as CNN’s morning call, as well as the reaction of the participants after he unmuted himself and revealed that he was listening. As promised, O’Keefe began the first of his releases at 7:00 p.m. Eastern time. In one recording, CNN staff are apparently heard to agree that they should not provide President Donald Trump...
