    Arizona’s primary election was Tuesday, but voters and candidates still don’t know the results in some of the most contentious races. That’s partially because poll workers at nine vote centers "forgot” to retrieve the data packs holding the results information. According to the Arizona Republic, each of the state’s 99 voting centers were equipped with two tabulators. After voters filled out their ballots, they fed them into the machines, which counted the results. The information was stored on memory packs in the machines.     Arizona officials knew on Monday about issues plaguing voting machines at certain polling locations, a day before the state's primary elections, according to the Associated Press. Polling sites across the state have faced technical difficulties throughout the day, as voters pick nominees for U.S. House and Senate seats, as well as state and local offices.     PHOENIX (AP) - The U.S. Justice Department has announced that it will monitor primary elections in Arizona's Maricopa County. The department said Monday that federal observers will be dispatched Tuesday to make sure that Maricopa County follows the federal Voting Rights Act of 1965. That law prohibits discrimination in the election process on the basis of race, color or membership in a minority language group.
