  • Climate Change: A Convenient Excuse for Dems to Transform the Economy

The idea that all life on this planet is in jeopardy if America doesn’t wean itself from fossil fuels is just hyperbole. ‘Climate change is an existential crisis,” Senator Elizabeth Warren declared Tuesday, unveiling her plan to fight climate change in advance of CNN’s interminable townhall event on the topic with ten Democratic presidential candidates. The use of the term “existential crisis” is ironic. No doubt, they mean “existential threat,” i.e. that global warming threatens to end life on earth. It doesn’t. But we’ll get back to that in a second. The term “existential crisis” comes from psychology or philosophy,...
  • Bernie Sanders: Americans 'will be delighted to pay more in taxes' for free health care, education

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-VT, continued to defend Democratic socialism and argued that Americans would be "delighted to pay more in taxes" if his policies are carried out. On Wednesday, Sanders attempted to sway voters into the ideology of Democratic socialism and argued in favor for what he called an "Economic Bill of Rights," where every American would have a right for items like free health care and education. He also insisted that President Trump is a "corporate socialist" for providing billions in subsidies and tax breaks for corporations. During an appearance on CNN, the Democratic candidate was asked how he...
  • Could It Be Time To Deny White Men The Franchise?

Some of the biggest blows to the progressive cause in the past year have often been due to the votes of white men. If white men were not allowed to vote, it is unlikely that the United Kingdom would be leaving the European Union, it is unlikely that Donald Trump would now be the President of the United States, and it is unlikely that the Democratic Alliance would now be governing four of South Africa's biggest cities. If white men no longer had the vote, the progressive cause would be strengthened. It would not be necessary to deny white men...
  • Trump Threatens 35% Tax on Ford if Mexico Operations Expand

It was the Detroit News headline "Trump goes after Ford Motor Co." not how long Hillary went overtime in the restroom that got our attention. Donald Trump made a whistle stop outside Grand Rapids, Michigan to take aim at Ford’s plans to expand production in Mexico. Trump promised if elected he would threaten manufacturers with big tariffs on imports to discourage building manufacturing plants south of the border. Trump to Ford, "If you build that plant in Mexico, I’m going to charge you 35 percent on every car, truck part that you send into our country," he said. "Every single...

This incessant clamoring by voters and punditry for better "leaders" and more "leadership" is one of the most unsavory, dangerous, and un-American tendencies in political discourse. When Donald Trump was asked last week by Joe Scarborough what he made of an endorsement from Vladimir Putin -- a thug who's probably murdered journalists and political opponents and more -- the GOP presidential front-runner responded, "He's running his country, and at least he's a leader, unlike what we have in this country." Then he offered an incredibly dumb moral equivalency about how the United States also does "plenty of killing." There was...

  • Happy Fourth of July to the Treason Party (LAUGH ALERT)

What history we recall on the Fourth of July typically involves stirring words of freedom, and rightly so. But why stop there? After all, not every colonist in 1776 was a patriot, and at this particularly fractured political moment, we might do well to remember that, according to contemporary accounts, one third of Americans wanted revolution, one third were loyal to the crown and one third could go either way. Loyalists did more than talk; they formed Tory regiments and fought alongside the British, against their fellow Americans. Even those who did support breaking from Britain could be surprisingly lax...

Jim Hansen is the 'grandfather of climate change' and one of the world's leading climatologists. In this rare interview in New York, he explains why President Obama's administration is the last chance to avoid flooded cities, species extinction and climate catastropheRobin McKie, science editor The Observer, Sunday 18 January 2009 Article historyAlong one wall of Jim Hansen's wood-panelled office in upper Manhattan, the distinguished climatologist has pinned 10 A4-sized photographs of his three grandchildren: Sophie, Connor and Jake. John McCain showed such moral uprightness in 2008--Kerry Tried to use him as a pawn but Kerry found him to be more of a Bishop or a Knight, the dudes a POW, he's sensitive yet again-he stands up for whats right. An Officer and a Gentleman---Questions? Answers? Whatever your race or creed, I think this guy deserves a serious look, more serious than 2004.
  • (St. Louis)County Expected To Pick-Up "Smoke-Free" Ban

St. Louis County Councilman Kurt Odenwald, R-Shrewsbury, plans to bring a "smoke-free" bill before the county council "in the very near future." Just last week, the Kirkwood City Council decided not to take up the issue, noting instead that it should be taken up at the county or state level. The council was presented with a petition signed by 360 residents. The petition called for a smoke-free ordinance that would eliminate smoking in all bars, restaurants and other buildings. Odenwald said Kirkwood's decision wasn't his impetus for considering related legislation.

2004 GOP Primary EndorsementsU.S. Senate - John McCain sure has a lot of sympathies for liberal and Democrat causes and office holders. He has opposed almost everything conservatives hold dear. This summer alone, he has defended Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry and has sided with homosexual activists over those who would defend traditional marriage. Recommendation: NONE

The Myth of Ownership reveals the Left’s true colors. The New York Times reported favorably Sunday on a bizarre new book that suggests that Americans should stop whining so much about taxes and instead be happy with the money that the government, in its benevolence, allows us to keep. According to this new book, entitled very appropriately, The Myth of Ownership, by two New York University professors, Liam Murphy and Thomas Nagel, there really is no such thing as private ownership, because nothing would be earned and no wealth would be created without government. This book is a great contribution to...
