The whole Health Care Bill is a set-up in my oppinion. Obama doesn't care if Dems lose Congress or even if he loses in 2012. He has said that he would rather be a "Good" one term President.....My theory is he is trying to get as much of his Socialist structure thru passed by congress or Presidential Executive order to set up the game for the left's end-game. They Plan on losing in 2010 and 2012 and counting on the citizens short attention span and memory. So that in 2014,2016 ect....they can come back and say look at how bad...

Borrowing from Harry Potter, this video parody titled "Rovemort And The Sorcerer's Stonewall" and starring Jason Alexander was released today by the Campaign For America's Future. I wish I could say it was clever or fun, but it's so heavy-handed about Rush Limbaugh, Brit Hume, Trent Lott, Mitch McConnell, Karl Rove, Dick Cheney and Dubya that even a liberal like me finds it off-putting. (Surely Hollywood can help progressives put together more subtle and arresting footage than this!) The video is part of a national campaign to "expose the right's strategy of obstructing reform while attacking the 'do-nothing [Democrat-controlled]...

WASHINGTON - The White House on Friday said a Senate bill that would grant legal status to illegal immigrants is analogous to a traffic law that allows a speeder to pay a fine and continue driving. "If you had a traffic ticket and you paid it, you're not forever a speeder, are you?" White House Press Secretary Tony Snow said in response to questions from The Examiner. "So the fact is, you have paid your debt to society," he added. "And we have come up with a way to make sure that the debt to society gets paid. Then you...

NEW YORK - Protesters in pig snouts grunted and rolled in bogus $100 bills featuring a sneering Vice President Dick Cheney (news - web sites) on Tuesday as part of a day of civil disobedience aimed at deflating Republicans in town to celebrate their party's presidential ticket. Outside the hotel where Texas Republicans were staying, about two dozen protesters calling themselves employees of "Hallibacon" chanted: "We love money. We love war. We love Cheney even more." They accused Cheney and the company he once led of profiting from the war in Iraq (news - web sites). Fourteen people were detained...
