“Pose” star Billy Porter is in negotiations to join Camila Cabello in Sony’s reimagined musical version of “Cinderalla.” If the deal goes through, Porter will play Cinderella’s fairy godmother. Sony had no comment. Cabello came on to the project in April with “Blockers” director Kay Cannon attached to helm and pen the script. Cabello will be involved in the music for the project, which grew out of an original idea from James Corden. The film will be produced by Corden and Leo Pearlman through their Fulwell73 banner. Stoned Alone, an R-rated Home Alone re-imagining, is in the works from Fox and Ryan Reynolds. Reynolds, who just released Deadpool 2 with the studio, will produce the comedy about a 20-something stoner who, after missing the plane for his holiday ski trip, gets high and becomes paranoid that people are breaking into his house. While high, he tries to thwart the thieves who have actually, really broken into his house. More than 50 years after the musical “West Side Story” had its original Broadway premiere, it is set to return in February in a darker, grittier, bilingual revival, the show’s producers said on Wednesday. This summer, the Sci Fi Channel gears up for the Aug. 10 premiere of Flash Gordon, a live-action series based on the original 1934 comic strip. The name may be familiar from the radio serials, novels, films, and other TV series the comic has inspired — but Sci Fi's series will go back to the very beginning of the hero's story.
