I have been a subscriber for several years now and this hurricane daily reports from the National Hurricane Center is now using the term "cyclone" in place of "hurricane". I am confused and would like to know why this has changed. If anyone knows, I would appreciate a response. Thanks.

Shouldn't we be able to pick and choose what channels and shows are brought into our homes. When you pay for cable, you are given a large amount of channels and do not get to pick what you want. I am trying to raise children and all the filth that is brought into our home is ridiculous. If we are never going to get "a-la-carte" cable, what can we do besides not have cable or tv?

Just signed up for free republic. I have been reading for a while, and this topic has finally made me want to step into the ring. I saw back at the end of Moussaoui's death sentencing trail that it seemed that many posters were enraged that we had one hold out. Didn't that person use the jury nullification playbook to a T? Isn't that what they usually tell people to do? Why would people here be so enraged by such action? My internet connection is via Comcast Cable. For the last few weeks I have not been able to connect to many political websites... namely "www.powerlineblog.com", "www.captainsquartersblog.com", "www.hughhewitt.com" and "www.biglizards.net" (and some others). Be it known that almost any other wiebsite is reachable. I know the problem does not lie in my computer or with the sites themselves. If I take my laptop (which cannot get to these websites from home) to a Panera, Starbucks or my office, it can connect to them just fine. Bottom line... IS COMCAST FILTERING OUT THESE URLs?
