I was in the Portland area, Hillsboro, in mid February and it was beautiful. Took a drive on US27 to Cannon Beach and the drive was beautiful(it was actually sunny), and all the people were nice. The only thing that was negative were the gas prices.

When did this craziness all begin? Maybe August 1969 when Charles Manson and his followers murdered actress Sharon Tate? The Weathermen terrorists with Bill Ayres and his wife Bernadine Dorn. How about the Columbine killers? How about the Aurora Colorado movie theater killer? How about the Florida school killer and how many random shooters have there been since then? Did you ever hear of the Senator Frank Church investigations of the many crimes of the CIA? Project Monarch, CIA mind control?

OK. Let's get to the chase. I'm a pilot. I've been flying almost 45 years. I know many commercial pilots who work for the big carriers. Some do international flights, the Far East, Europe, etc. At least four of them now have told me they have had this crap, some as early as November of last year. High fever, bad dry cough, and body aches. They all said they were sicker than a dog. They told me they have flown boatloads of people from China and Europe to here before the travel ban. They tell me they passed it around...

Last Thursday March 26, 2020 the biggest fake news story perhaps in the past year, was all over the tv news, including Fox News. The evening news programs reported that America has the most cases of COVID-19 in the world, which apparently is the CCP’s propaganda line. This story, although unlikely and illogical, and entirely unproveable, but was presented as factual. Now think about this for one minute: China has 1.4 billion people, USA 340 million. The virus has been prevalent there much longer. The Chinese have a history of lying. Why would anyone believe them? Hillary Clinton mocked the...

I live in Carroll County, GA, about 35 miles west of Atlanta. The state of GA publishes the age, sex and whether or not there were underlying conditions for every one of the 139 deaths in GA (as of yesterday). I ran a spreadsheet on this data and discovered the following: Average age at death was 69.8 years. About 60% male, 40% female. Of the 139 deaths, 95 had underlying conditions, 4 had no underlying conditions, and 44 were "unknown". How about your state?

Front line report from a friend. This person is a retired nurse that retired to a southern state. She was informed this Sat. that she was to report to her original state for nursing duties. If she failed to comply she would lose her retirement and be arrested. Since she reported for duty, she has been working 16hr shifts in full hazmat. She said that her hospital is full of dead bodies, that they are being stacked on pallets and loaded on to freezer trucks that are kept running. She is in a city that is getting overflow from NYC....

Newsom was right to balk at hand sanitizer for $400. Are other vendors hiking prices on other things?

This is our ongoing prepper thread, re-invented to be more specific to prepping for, and of course during, pandemics. Where gave you found your preps have withstood this test? What would you like to have done differently? What are your current prepping plans?

Good news! I take it upon myself to identify good news in crises, since the mainstream media almost always overlooks good news. Like when Ebola went away, they simply quit reporting. I haven't had much good news to report since South Korea largely conquered the Coronavirus, COVID-19. Around a week ago, it looked like we were starting to see some flattening of the curve in the U.S., but then the number of positive tests exploded, probably simply because the number of tests exploded. We may be starting to see some real flattening, but a local explosion in the New York...

I have a relative coming in from another state to stay with me. I am at risk and have been isolated. How do I introduce him into the home, 2 week quarantine? In Garage? Cannot find a camper. Ideas?? I have no real way to have him come into the house and quarantine from me. There are no options. Live in northern new England. I have a two car garage attached to the house, but it is cold and drafty. I thought of borrowing a big tent and putting it in the garage to give it some space, and room....

I am calling official B.S. on this hoax of a "pandemic." We have been told by the "scientists" that hospitals would be overrun, the dead would be piling up, etc. Please post "on the ground" reports from your city/state. Are your hospitals overrun? Are healthy people dying? Any signs that a Bubonic Plague is among us?

I've been monitoring a lot of local San Francisco Bay Area boards for what people are doing during the "Shelter In Place" order. Turns out the outdoor trails are full with crowds not seen in years. It's like people are treating this as an unexpected paid holiday. Here is a sampling of what I've found...

OK Freepers. Almost everybody is at home today dealing with all their normal stresses in life, and some truly mind-boggling/bizarre new one's. So, what are you drinking today?

I have seen some morphing a bit over the last 48 hours. Amazon Prime is no longer prime, nor do they have stock. Walmart has stock quicker but it must be inside purchase. Looks to be the battle as to what you need now. Interesting to see this play out.

I've been away from California since before Christmas. I moved to our house in Idaho, which we bought two years ago, to work on improvement projects and got back to California a week and a half ago. I got up early today (Sunday) and decided to go have breakfast at my favorite coffee shop in Los Altos, CA (San Francisco Peninsula area not far from San Jose). I got there just before 8 and was the only customer for a while. Julie, the owner, was telling me how her business is really taking a hit. I finished breakfast about 8:40...

Just got back from Safeway in Mountain View, California and I took notice of peoples' priorities in the current COVID-19 hysteria. Pasta and tomato sauce -- wiped out... Paper goods - cleaned out... And right next to the paper goods section...Condoms - PLENTIFUL!

Suburban Harrisburg, PA - March 14, 2020 I was somewhat dreading the weekly shopping trip due to all the news stories about shortages and hoarding. On the other hand I was curious to see what it was like. I wanted some fresh vegetables, meat and fish, so off I went shopping. Traffic was unusually light for a Saturday morning. I was thinking shopping might not be too bad. However, as I turned into the local supermarket (Karns, for folks in South Central PA) the parking lot was jammed packed. Actually, that's not too unusual for a weekend shopping trip.I get...

Sad to see that Glenn has embraced promoting panic. I tried to listen the last 2 days but he is in one of his dire last days mode.
