TAMPA -- Michelle Williams fueled an Internet firestorm last week when she talked of placing a "dead or alive" bounty on George Zimmerman. It was a racially explosive rant on Internet radio by one of the leaders of the New Black Panther Party in which she referred to whites as honkies, crackers, pigs and even pink people.

In a profanity-laced tirade, a Memphis DJ last week used an on-air interview to berate a local Republican congressional candidate -- calling her a "token negro" who is doing the bidding of "white folk." DJ Thaddeus Matthews called Charlotte Bergmann, who is black, "stupid." He referred to her as a "curly-haired nigga." Left-wingers tend to like cartoonist Aaron McGruder for his comic-strip assaults on the Bush administration in "The Boondocks." But at a dinner Sunday night marking the 138th anniversary of the Nation magazine, McGruder earned boos for saying liberals need to be meaner if they want to win back the White House.
