It’s not your father’s army anymore. It’s certainly not your grandfather’s army, nor is it your older brother’s. Whose army is it in 2017: feminists, communists, radical leftists, moral cowards, and perfumed princes and princesses – that’s whose army it is. The lean green machine is in dire straits and for all intents and purposes is about ready to flat line without any chances of resuscitation. Bury the United States Army at Arlington, and engrave on its tombstone, “Killed by cultural Marxists, feminists, feather merchants and moral cowards.” The latest crisis to engulf the army, and for that matter, the...

I just met up with some people from the 9/12 Project in Pittsburgh trying to organize against Jason Altmire. I'm seeking You Tube video or any video of his town hall meeting in Farrell, PA on August 26, 2009. The reason we're seeking this video obvious based on this series of events. ARTICLE ON AUGUST 26, 2009 ALTMIRE TOWN HALL MEETING Farrell, Pennsylvania- Though the debate over Health Care has been spirited in the last few months, the recent Town Hall meetings held by elected officials have been the focal point of attention. Yesterday, August 26, Pennsylvanian Congressman Jason Altmire...

Congressmen Jason Altmire and Tim Murphy have previous engagements. Sen. Bob Casey Jr. and Rep. Mike Doyle are out of town on anniversary trips with their wives. Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato will be campaigning in Philadelphia. When President Obama and Sen. Arlen Specter land at Pittsburgh International Airport today, Mayor Luke Ravenstahl will receive them by himself. The rest of the region's top elected officials declined White House invitations to attend Obama's speech at Carnegie Mellon University this afternoon, their offices said.

"Will Altmire Walk the Plank" (Wall Street Journal) reports that the anti-Semitic and anti-Catholic hate group MoveOn.org has threatened Jason Altmire (D-PA) over his "No" vote on Nancy Pelosi's and Barack Obama's "health care reform" vote. Mrs. Pelosi and the left are there, and unfortunately for Mr. Altmire, they had him pegged as a junior member vulnerable to tender persuasion. Within a week of his no vote, Moveon.org was up in his district with vicious ads, warning they'd mobilize against him this fall. It is to be remembered that MoveOn.org (1) welcomed the most vicious imaginable anti-Catholic and anti-Semitic hate...

U.S. Rep. Jason Altmire will vote against the health care bill when the House votes in the next few days, despite weeks of personal entreaties from President Obama and Democratic House leaders, he said today. Altmire, D-McCandless, was considered an important swing vote for House leaders who are trying to attract 216 supporters for the signature domestic initiative of Obama's presidency. Altmire voted against a previous health care bill last year ,and as the climactic vote on this Senate bill approaches, he has been buffeted by protests for and against the plan, intense lobbying in Congress and two visits to...

Altmire Statement on Upcoming Health Care Vote March 19, 2010 "I ran for Congress in large part because I believe we need to find a way to bring down the cost of health care. I also ran for Congress with a simple promise: I would do my best to represent my district and to give western Pennsylvania a voice in Washington, not the other way around. "I regret that this year-long process of debating health care reform has resulted in a final product that I cannot support. The cost of inaction on health care is great, but it would be...

This could be very big. Rep. Jason Altmire (D., Penn.) has done his darndest to position himself as the deciding vote on health-care reform, and I predicted earlier this week that he would end up voting with the majority either way. Congressman Jason Altmire will vote against the latest version of health care reform when the U.S. House of Representatives votes on the bill this weekend. Altmire confirmed that he has decided to vote no in a telephone conversation with KDKA political editor Jon Delano. The McCandless Democrat is expected to post a statement on his website later today. In...

The most important member of Congress this month may be a man you've never heard of: Jason Altmire, a painfully earnest former hospital executive from near Pittsburgh. Why? Because as Jason Altmire goes, so goes the nation -- at least when it comes to the Democrats' quest for healthcare reform. Altmire, 41, is a centrist "Blue Dog" Democrat -- a fiscal conservative who opposes big spending and higher taxes. His Republican-leaning district voted for John McCain in 2008 even as it sent Altmire back to Congress for his second term. In November, Altmire was one of 39 Democrats who voted...

Blue Dog Democrat Jason Altmire, who represents Pennsylvania’s 4th District, could be getting a tough challenger this year in former U.S. Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan. Two other Republicans — Edgeworth lawyer and former Department of Homeland Security official Keith Rothfus and salesman John Vinsick of Hopewell — have already entered the race. Altmire’s race is a likely bellwether. Altmire seems like the type of conservative-to-moderate Democrat who wouldn’t have a tough time winning re-election, even in a bad year for his party. If he loses, then Nov. 2 will surely be a very bad night for Democrats.

Just got a robocall from his office this evening (Aug 24)...... Altmire Invites Constituents to Town Hall Meeting on Health Care Reform on August 26 August 18, 2009(???) (PITTSBURGH, PA) -- Today, U.S. Congressman Jason Altmire (PA-04) announced that he will hold a town hall meeting on health care reform in Farrell on Wednesday, August 26 at 4:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the auditorium at Farrell Area High School, located at 1600 Roemer Boulevard in Farrell, PA. Doors will open at 4 pm. If anyone knows applicable town meeting sites could you please post this there. BTW,...

Several members of Pennsylvania's congressional delegation said Monday they'll discuss proposed health care reforms with constituents in telephone conference calls rather than face people at town hall meetings, but they say that's not because forums elsewhere have spiraled out of control. "We're not switching up any format or canceling events. We just think the calls make the best sense, because they allow thousands of constituents to participate at one time, instead of a couple hundred," said David Lucas, spokesman for Rep. Mike Doyle, D-Swissvale. Congressional supporters of President Obama's proposed health care reforms were encouraged to use the August recess...

A longtime Western Pennsylvania politician once said, “You run with the top of the ticket when you can, and run away from it when you have to.” Which explains U.S. Rep. Jason Altmire’s short answer as to whether he will campaign in his district with Barack Obama: He’ll “consider it.” Altmire -– a previous skeptic of offshore drilling who now supports it, pitting him against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi -– said it will depend on when the presumptive nominee comes to town and if their schedules mesh. “I am not going to avoid it,” he added.

Who knew that newbie Democrat congressman Jason Altmire (4th District) and Republican congressman Tim Murphy (18th District) would ever "town hall" together? The reason there are no answers is because there were none to be found. Today Murphy and Altmire sent out a news release announcing that they would host two joint town hall meetings together:
-
Hey, swing state Florida, I will not offshore drill The Sen. Barack Obama press machine issued this statement that Obama will deliver at his media avail this afternoon, in which he pledges (where have we heard that word before?) to keep the federal moratorium against offshore drilling in place: "When I am president, I will keep the moratorium in place and prevent oil companies from drilling off Florida's coasts," the statement reads. "That's how we can protect our coasts and still make the investments that will reduce our dependence on foreign oil and bring down gas prices for good."

Congressman Altmire hearts McCain PITTSBURGH TRIBUNE-REVIEW By Salena Zito Rep. Jason Altmire, whose congressional district went overwhelmingly for Sen. Hillary Clinton in the six-week primary that was Pennsylvania, kind of likes Republican presumptive nominee Sen. John McCain’s proposal to invest in nuclear energy and clean coal. Here is the statement that he released today on McCain’s proposal to construct 45 nuclear reactors by 2030 and spend $2 billion a year in federal funding on clean coal. “I have always been a strong supporter of nuclear energy and clean coal technology, and I welcome Senator McCain’s announcement today that he is...

Obama trolls House, but Altmire remains neutral TRIBUNE-REVIEW By Salena Zito Rep. Jason Altmire said his baseline for a decision to endorse Sen. Hillary Clinton over Sen. Barack Obama would be if Clinton managed to reach somewhere close to a delegate tie with him when the primaries were over. "She earned her right to continue the campaign when she won in Pennsylvania and won my district," he said. Altmire said even after her loss in North Carolina and slim win in Indiana, she still has that right. "It's a long shot, I understand that, but I still want to give...

Lobbyist Jason Altmire and His Attack Ads I'm sure many of you have seen Jason Altmire's ads distorting Congresswoman Melissa Hart's record on various hot button issues and claiming that Melissa votes with President Bush and Senator Santorum 98% of the time. As you know, the truth is that Melissa Hart votes 100% of the time with her district. KDKA's Jon Delano debunked Altmire's ads yesterday in an interview with Jon yesterday, and he pointed out one of the many lies in Altmire's attack ads. Here's my response to Altmire's deceptive attack ads: Lobbyist Jason Altmire continued his negative campaign...
