Hey, swing state Florida, I will not offshore drill

The Sen. Barack Obama press machine issued this statement that Obama will deliver at his media avail this afternoon, in which he pledges (where have we heard that word before?) to keep the federal moratorium against offshore drilling in place:

"When I am president, I will keep the moratorium in place and prevent oil companies from drilling off Florida's coasts," the statement reads. "That's how we can protect our coasts and still make the investments that will reduce our dependence on foreign oil and bring down gas prices for good."

That does not sway this Floridian, nor any that I know of personally.

You can’t even see the darn things over the horizon, and even during the worst hurricanes, we never saw a spill on any of the Gulf coast!!

Obama hasn't checked the latest Florida poll lately that read 61% favored off-shore drilling and believe it will lower gas cost.

There is an attorney who does radio spots here in NJ, and he is a conservative. I love his spots.

He has one this week stating that the Chinese are drilling off the coast of Florida. He says, :Maybe we can ask the Chinese Communists if we can have some of our own oil.".

Now would be a great time for President Bush to rescind the original executive order, even though the congressional law would still be in place, and force Obama to state whether he would reinstate the executive order.

Yea, sure Hussein, just like not eating what we want, not owning the SUVs that we want, not keeping our thermostats in a comfortable range, not clinging to our guns, not clinging to or religion, and now not driving or using gasoline are going to all somehow make us better off in this country.

All of those are positions you espouse.

Sorry, I'm not into Carter malais II. So just stuff it!

Drill here, drill now, refine here, refine now, nuclear power here, nuclear power now! Hear, hear!

That's who has my vote on these issues Hussein, you marxists with a heavy dose of black militantcy and islamic background.

That statement guarantees he won't win Florida.  http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/florida/election_2008_florida_presidential_election

When I am president, I will keep the moratorium in place and prevent oil companies...

BO could have saved a tree and put the period there!....everything else was a waste of hot air! We all know he meant "When I am president, I will keep the moratorium in place and prevent oil companies, drug companies, steel companies, software companies, hardware companies, white companies, jewish companies....only companies we'll need are black companies and muslim companies!"

Right fist held high in air in salute (or is it the left one, I can never remember....just look around before you raise your fist)!

Sadly, most voters are so friggin' stupid they won't see this as the most asinine statement he could make. I would really like to hear the detailed chain of logic that he'd have to follow to make his statement even remotely resemble the truth. Why does the GOP sit on the sidelines and let him get away with this? When is the GOP going to start fighting back? Well, I'll tell you this: Until the GOP grows a pair, hangs up the politically correct kidd gloves and starts fighting back, they'll not see a dime from me. I had it with those gutless wonders.

Even Obama's press releases say absolutely nothing. What will the government investment in that will lower gas prices?

"When I am president..."

Somewhere Mrs. Clinton hurled a lamp across the room and then cranked up her plan of sabotage.

“That’s how we can protect our coasts and still make the investments that will reduce our dependence on foreign oil and bring down gas prices for good.”

That sentence makes absolutely no sense, whatsoever.

I understand how badly folks are struggling to pay gas prices that have reached well over $4 in many places. I still remember the man I met in Pennsylvania who just lost his job but can't even afford to drive around and look for a new one.

And yet, illegal aliens, with even less, can find their way across the border and procur jobs. What happened to the positive stories of people overcoming life's challenges?

Which makes Obama the perfect candidate. An empty headed dolt for a country that has lost it's soul.

Obama reminds me of the movie “Idiocracy”. They killed off their crops because they watered them with an enrgy drink, so this guy suggests they use water.
They just kind of stared blankly at him and said “But it has elecrolytes!”.
