It’s just the flu, bro. The media’s desperate attempt to increase fear about CV, at the same time as the death rate is plummeting, is like an attention seeking child throwing a temper tantrum. One would think the media cares about its credibility a little bit. They can’t continue much longer, I assume. Maybe they have a couple more months of tantrums. They can’t possibly make it to November. Stalin said that a million deaths is a statistic but one death is a tragedy. Along those lines there are now stupid stories of twenty somethings who got sick with CV...

Bush wanted to remove Saddam through military action justified by the conjunction of terrorism and WMD. But the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy." 'Read that again: "The intelligence and facts were being fixed . . . ."

Although his approval ratings have slipped somewhat in recent weeks, President George W. Bush still enjoys the overall support of nearly half of the American people. He does not, however, fare nearly so well among professional historians. A recent informal, unscientific survey of historians conducted at my suggestion by George Mason University’s History News Network found that eight in ten historians responding rate the current presidency an overall failure.
