UNITED NATIONS, Oct 26 (Reuters) - Iran's Foreign Minster Hossein Amirabdollahian warned at the United Nations on Thursday that if Israel's retaliation against Palestinian militants Hamas in the Gaza Strip doesn't end then the United States will "not be spared from this fire." "I say frankly to the American statesmen, who are now managing the genocide in Palestine, that we do not welcome (an)expansion of the war in the region. But if the genocide in Gaza continues, they will not be spared from this fire," he told a meeting of the 193-member General Assembly on the Middle East.

Researcher based in South Africa finds animal’s antibodies show signs of neutralising variants about 20 hours agoThe South American alpaca may seem like an unlikely ally in humanity’s fight to overcome the coronavirus, but an Irish scientist believes the mammal is key to developing an effective treatment against the disease. Dr Peter Durcan, who is based in Cape Town, South Africa, has spent the last year investigating whether alpaca antibodies, produced by its immune system to fight off infections, can be used to treat people with Covid-19. Despite having to overcome pandemic-related logistical challenges to get his project off the...

No, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you — that's an alpaca walking around in an optician's office. The fluffy mammal walked into an optician's office in Hennebont, France after authorities believe it escaped from a nearby farm, SWNS reports. As the alpaca walked past the store, the automatic doors opened and the curious camelid decided to venture in for a closer look. Photographer Pierre-yves Nicolas spotted the furry creature and said it appeared to be at ease, checking itself out in the mirrors. "The alpaca walked down the street, past my studio and stopped in front of the opticians' shop," the...

My Lady Jean and have a nice little ranch near Denver. On our tender little 35 acres, we have ten alpacas. They belong to the Camelid family, llamas, vicuña and the true humpty humpers. They're cute too, so Lady Jean is happy. We're expecting a baby "cria" in May. Our first breeding try. We have all females except one old gelded male, Andy. You don't keep the boys and girls together as the boys will go through a fence if he gets the right wink! We have two years of fleece, they get shorn once a year and yield around...

The purpose of FreeRepublic.com's multiple message boards is to limit the topics for each board to particular topics. Posting the same message on all the boards defeats the purpose of multiple-boards for special topics. It is very annoying to see the same message on every bulletin board. PLEASE! DO THE READERS A FAVOR. STOP CROSS-POSTING YOUR MESSAGES!
