Scott Pruitt, the head of the Environmental Protection Agency, drew criticism on Thursday for saying that carbon dioxide was not a primary contributor to global warming, contradicting years of established science. But his boss, President Trump, has similarly raised doubts about the cause of global warming and has said a great deal more on the subject — as part of an argument, an applause line, a punch line or an insult.

I had not previously understood the potentials horrors.[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvB03dfbRMM&w=640&h=360] Video linkSurely, we need to show our empathy with all of humanity. Let's help those who believe in anthropomorphic global smarming climate change do whatever they feel obliged to do to themselves. It's the only viable, economically possible and humanitarian way to try to end climate change. Once the Government shut slow down is over, will President Obama arrange grants to encourage such a worthy pursuit? Probably not. In the long term, doing so could reduce the numbers of Democrat voters, a far worse result than even the horrors of climate change....

Crisis managers tell The Daily Beast’s Lloyd Grove that the former vice president is not doing enough to combat the salacious allegations that he behaved inappropriately with several masseuses. It has been, for Al Gore, a swift and brutal fall from grace. Before all the unpleasantness, the former vice president was mainly known as the planet’s premiere environmentalist and anti-global-warming crusader. He has been a bestselling author, Oscar-winning filmmaker, successful businessman and, lest we forget, the man millions still believe should have been sworn in as president in January 2001. But now the 62-year-old Gore is tabloid fodder—notorious as a...

A British journalist who has challenged former Vice President Al Gore to a debate on global warming says the latest United Nations report on the purported impacts of climate change is a "prodigious overstatement" that was not developed by a scientific process, but rather a political one. The United Nation's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has released the second of four reports it plans to issue this year on global warming. During negotiations on the report, a Belgian delegate likened global warming to Adolf Hitler. Lord Christopher Monckton of Brenchley, a former advisor to British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher,...

Al meets Chad Al and Tipper Gore's new book, "Joined at the Heart," is described as personal and provocative. "We started dreaming of having a family soon after we met, 37 years ago," writes the couple, who, unlike predecessors Dan and Marilyn Quayle, refuse to retire in defeat. (Was Mr. Quayle, two years after his dethroning, lead guest on ABC's "This Week" the way Mr. Gore was yesterday? Of course not.) "We were just teenagers then," the Gores continue in their book, "and unlike most high school sweethearts these days, we somehow grew together instead of apart." In fact, the...
