A strong majority of parents in the United States report making financial sacrifices to help their adult children, especially as they “[start] their careers in tumultuous period of inflation and rising interest rates,” according to a recent survey from Bankrate. Approximately 7 in 10 report making financial sacrifices for their children, and nearly one third of that group (31 percent) say help is significant, KARE11 reported of the April poll on Tuesday.

It doesn’t get any sadder than this: “19 percent of men and 12 percent of women in the 25-34 demographic cohabit with their parents.” Nearly a fifth — a fifth! — of men aged 25-34 live with Mom and Dad? What? At least the parents aren’t happy about it. The Hill reports:
