Judicial Watch Victory: Federal Appeals Court Rules against Counting of Ballots Received after Election Dayicial Watch Victory: Federal Appeals Court Rules against Counting of Ballots Received after Election Day
Judicial Watch announced today that the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit has issued an opinion reversing a lower court ruling on Mississippi’s election law that permitted absentee ballots to be received as late as five business days after Election Day.

Wow! There is so much good news today I’m overwhelming. I’m just afraid to hope because the evil nasty rats know how to drop a stink bomb when they’re always good news for our side.
I’ve heard that this decision impacts the entire nation and I’ve also heard that this decision only impacts three states can anybody absolutely confirm which
It impacts whoever wants to obey it. It won’t be enforced anyway.
This happened over a week ago.
Get up to speed!
I think is actually a weak ruling, and I think would be overturned by the USSC if it gets that far.
The ruling is based in part that Congress requires a “day of election”, not five days after that day. If that law was enforced, (and it only be great if it was) then early voting, etc, would be disallowed, unless they consider early and mail voting to be counted only on “election day”.
It would certainly change things if the USSC went with that interpretation.
There go the military overseas absentee ballots for Trump. Somebody will see to it they are delayed..probably the Post Office on orders from Washington.
Define “Received”?
Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas.
It covers only the 5th circuit, which is Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana. If it is kicked up to the USSC and they rule then it would either be accepted for the entire country, overturned or modified.
Aren’t there special provisions for the overseas military ballots ... at least in many states, if not all?
If only this applied nationwide. THEN I WOULD BE REALLY IMPRESSED.
Yeah, and I just watched the whole video from judicial watch. And what they said is it won’t even go into affect this election due to the Purcell rule or whatever it’s called. But they said it’s a big big deal for future ones so take care for what it’s worth.
My very first thought.

Bush-Gore 2000, there were about 500 overseas ballots that were never counted. Who remembers hanging chads?
Impressed no matter where it applies to.
Because if I show up to vote on Thursday, my vote wouldn’t be counted either. It’s not complicated. Election day has been on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November since 1845. So no surprise one’s coming.
