Exactly one year ago, ACORN threatened to sue former insiders who formed a whistleblower group aimed at exposing the misappropriation and co-mingling of funds that have been the subject of congressional investigations. In a letter dated June 11, 2009, ACORN’s legal counsel demanded that activists operating under the banner of ACORN 8 “cease and desist” in their use of the ACORN name and set a deadline of June 30, 2009 for compliance. Legal action was not forthcoming after the whistleblower group resisted the ultimatum. “It is a violation of federal and state law for you to use the ACORN name...

The ACORN 8 began to paint themselves as whistleblowers and use the specter of ACORN to drive the story on the right. By claiming ignorance, the ACORN 8 have always stopped short of blasting Obama to the Conservative Press and this has allowed these radical Democrats to effectively hoodwink conservatives into supporting their cause. ACORN 8 affiliates are already setting up a network across the country in anticipation of absorbing ACORN offices and continuing its radical progressive agenda. Below is a comparison of the ACORN 8 affiliate National Forum On Judicial Accountability (NFOJA) and a 2006 ACORN office expansion map.

Fear and outside influences kept me off Fox the weekend before the election. Fear and a sense of loyalty to Strom kept me from immediately exposing the New York Times by releasing our email exchanges before March of 2009 and fear tied me to Marcel Reid, who used those fears to manipulate and control me. In the end, fear did not prevent me from realizing that I was no longer ideologically aligned with the ACORN 8. I was no longer the far left radical who wanted to change the system, and I no longer felt that I had to stand...

How This Reluctant Whistleblower Decided to Tell All The more I spoke about Obama and the Democrats part in the ACORN scandal, the more I drifted away from the ACORN 8. I never thought that their mission was bad, but ACORN’s subversive nature is rooted in pay for play politics and if one is to clean house, it has to be across the board. I was proud when Marcel appeared on Glenn Beck but often dismayed at the picture she painted of ACORN. Yes, the members are great people, but they do not need an ACORN to help them. Local...

An ACORN affiliate has just submitted applications for over $6 million in government funding, despite the controversial videos of the organization’s workers aiding a child prostitution “promoter.” Employees with the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now (ACORN) in Washington D.C., Baltimore and Brooklyn told uncover investigators posing as a pimp and a prostitute how they could circumvent the law. ACORN has already fired four of the workers. But it claims the tapes have been “doctored” and “edited.” A third video implicating the ACORN workers was released today. Meanwhile, the ACORN Institute, one of many ACORN affiliates, has applied for...

Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now (ACORN) leaders are using the threat of a law suit to silence and intimidate critics, according to current and former members of the liberal activist group. In a letter dated June 11 an attorney for ACORN advised top whistleblowers that their unauthorized use of the organization’s name could make them liable for monetary damages and injunctive relief. ACORN executives have also changed their organization’s name, which was tarnished by investigations in at least 14 states of allegations of voter registration fraud during the 2008 presidential campaign, and charges by current and former members...

It started as a rumor told by insiders to media. Insiders believed that all the revelations were making the ACORN brand so toxic that they may have to change it. Then, ACORN Intl. changed its name and they thought that was an indication they were. Of course ACORN Intl. is NOT ACORN. Yet, for whatever reason, that's how it was reported by Washington Examiner columnist Kevin Mooney. Moonedy has been on television speaking about ACORN.

Today on Glenn Beck there was more discussion about ACORN and its shell game. ACORN has been playing a shell game with more than $53 million dollars of tax payer money over the last 15 years. Marcel Reid, Karen Inman, Charles Turner and others are trying to figure out the shell game ACORN is playing. They have either been fired or barred from ACORN offices because they have all asked for an accounting of the money. They have been rebuffed at every effort. These people are the ones who filed RICO charges in 14 states. They have made sacrifices both...

Last year a scandal rocked ACORN when it was revealed that the brother of the founder of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), Dale Rathke, was caught by the ACORN board embezzling one million dollars in the organization's operations cash. For eight years founder Wade Rathke hid the theft from public consumption as well as from his fellow ACORN board members and tried to arrange a pal of his to "pay back" the money to cover up his brother's theft. (see here, here, and here) Now, several ousted members of the ACORN board are seeking a federal...

We have obtained a copy of the complaint filed by the ACORN whistleblowers known as the ACORN 8. The ACORN 8 was founded by expelled ACORN national board members Marcel Reid and Karen Inman. They have asked U.S. attorneys in several states to look into the nearly $1 million embezzlement that the founder's brother perpetrated on the group and the eight-year-long coverup of that embezzlement. They also want the authorities to probe the odd business practices of the nation's leading community-based left-wing activist group. When Reid and Inman asked to look at the documents related to the embezzlement, ACORN said...

Whistleblowers at ACORN are demanding that the Obama administration probe allegations of embezzlement, conspiracy, and corruption at the highest levels in the nation's foremost community-based left-wing activist group. ACORN, long known for its creative approach to voter registration, has received at least $126.4 million in donations and tax dollars since 1993, yet owes millions of dollars in back taxes. Specifically, the "ACORN 8," a splinter group founded by expelled national board members Karen Inman and Marcel Reid, has asked U.S. attorneys in several states to look into a nearly $1 million embezzlement and the novel business practices of the group...

Obama/ACORN defector Anita Moncrief explains how she tried to expose some of the fraud in the ACORN/Obama axis of evil, but her efforts were largely ignored by the media, specifically the NY Times - based on the editorial decision that no one would care. Unbelievably, the arrogant mainstream media thinks they can get away with it. Of course, so far they have... Equally incredibly, Bill O'Reilly tries to make it all about himself.

Dissident ACORN members are demanding that the crooked group be investigated with a view to federal criminal charges, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports. The splinter group, ACORN 8, released a 24-page document Wednesday that asks federal investigators to consider fraud, embezzlement and conspiracy charges, and criminal civil rights violations relating to the embezzlement of nearly $1 million from the nonprofit's accounts and an alleged cover-up of the theft for almost a decade. "Moreover, due to the admission that a felony has been committed, other federal offenses may have also been committed ... ," states the document signed by 14 members of...

A group of ACORN whistle-blowers known as 'ACORN-8' is making explosive allegations against their organization. The group contends that that ACORN has mishandled multi-millions of dollars of taxpayer funds and engaged in the breaking of federal law. The group is also calling on their fellow members to stop paying their dues until ACORN opens up its books for an accounting. And at the center of the whistle-blowers' concerns is an apparent conflict of interest that leads directly to Barack Obama.
