FReeper “melancholy” had asked that I post the photos he took of the 912 March on DC.

Due to time constraints and a few computer problems they were not ready to post until now. My hope had been to have them posted by yesterday in celebration of the three week anniversary of the March, but alas I failed. Guess now I will be inducted into the Obama Fail Club.

Parts I and IIThe Taxpayers' March on Washington as seen through the eyes of an ex-Soviet immigrant.Oleg Atbashian, a writer and graphic artist from Ukraine, currently lives in New York. He is the creator of ThePeoplesCube.com, a satirical website where he writes under the name of Red SquarePart IOn September 12, 2009, I took part in the largest anti-big-government demonstration in the history of mankind. To borrow an expression from Joe Biden, the Taxpayers’ March on Washington was clean and articulate. It was clean because over a million earners of American wealth didn’t litter or destroy things and generally behaved...

It was the biggest friendliest mob I've ever seen. A fantastic parade of smiling faces. People went out of the way to be nice to each other, police, an occasional opposition. And clean up after themselves and others. We came in late and were standing first opposite the National Archives, then crossed to the other side of the Pennsylvania Avenue. It was a non-stop 2 hours movement of people. Very impressive. See the slide show of my album at the link: http://s648.photobucket.com/albums/uu207/tolik001/2009-09-12-DC-TeaParty/?albumview=slideshow

"Do you think there'll be porta-potties?" Was the anxious question my husband asked. He's in his fifties, after all. He asked about restroom facilities several days before we left for DC, and enjoined me to "find out on the internet" because he thinks I can find out anything on the internet. It was from the various conservative blogs and forums that I haunt on the net that had inspired me to put together this trip to DC in the first place. Like most tea-partiers, I am only loosely affiliated with any of the organizers. I was anxious about restrooms, too,...
