Contrary to what those who defend the right to own high-powered assault rifles believe, not all guns are created equal. Due to a combination of availability, portability and criminal usage the following five types of guns are the country's most dangerous. Using firearm trace data from the ATF, as well as FBI homicide records, we determined the types of guns most often recovered from crime scenes and/or used in murders. The numbers are stark: According to the FBI's 2012 Crime in the US data, nearly 70 percent of homicides for which the FBI received weapons data involved the use of...

WFTV - Orlando ORLANDO, Fla. — It's something most students learn in elementary school -- the United States is made up of 50 states and the District of Columbia. But Cox Media Group reporter Justin Gray found out it's a lesson that an Orlando agent with the Transportation Safety Administration seems to have missed. Gray, who lives in Washington, D.C., was flying out of Orlando International Airport when a TSA agent said Gray's District of Columbia driver's license wasn't a valid form of identification. Gray said his license is legal and up-to-date, but the TSA agent didn't seem to know...

Sunday on ABC's "This Week with George Stephanopoulos," Attorney General Eric Holder blasted former Gov. Sarah Palin's (R-AK) for her call to impeach President Barack Obama by saying, "She wasn't a particularly good vice presidential candidate. She's an even worse judge of who ought to be impeached and why." House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) and other senior Republicans have dismissed Palin's calls and instead have opted to file a lawsuit against Obama's executive overreach. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) said earlier on the program, "We are not working on or drawing up articles of impeachment. He has not...

Are you a man born in Pennsylvania between 1893 and 1897? If so, a government agency may have just reminded you to register for the draft. The Selective Service System, which keeps a roster of potential men who can be enlisted in the military, inadvertently sent out mailings to more than 14,000 Pennsylvania men born in those years, reminding them to register. These letters were sent due to a computer error, the agency said in a message posted online, and the Selective Service has apologized to the families who have received these letters. The problem occurred following an automated data...

(Must see video...Ugh) The limitless imagination of the American marketing mind came to the fore again this week, as a San Francisco Burger King franchise unveiled its “Proud Whopper” in honor of LGBT Week. It’s exactly the same as a regular flame-grilled Whopper, but inside its rainbow-colored wrapper read the words, “We are all the same inside.” Senior Vice President Fernando Machado told Fox News, “It showcases who we are as a brand. It shows how we, as a brand, believe in self-expression.” The fast food chain even produced a video to highlight the campaign, ending with a little girl...

JACKSON, Miss. – Her story, and smile, captured the hearts of Internet users across the country. But now it appears at least some of the circumstances about the disfigured child asked to leave a Mississippi KFC due to her facial scars are untrue. When the story broke earlier this month, it was reported three-year-old Victoria Wilcher was asked by a KFC worker to leave the restaurant when other customers complained about looking at her injuries while they ate. The child, her family said, had been mauled by pit bulls. While the pit bull attack is not being question, what...

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A year after the Supreme Court struck down a law barring federal recognition of gay marriages, the Obama administration granted an array of new benefits Friday to same-sex couples, including those who live in states where gay marriage is against the law. The new measures range from Social Security and veterans benefits to work leave for caring for sick spouses. They are part of President Barack Obama's efforts to expand whatever protections he can offer to gays and lesbians even though more than half of the states don't recognize gay marriage. That effort has been confounded by...
