Costco has suddenly and according to author Dinesh D'Souza, inexplicably booted his book from stores nationwide, ordering chain operators to clear their shelves of America: Imagine a World Without Her by July 15.
Mr. D'Souza said roughly 3,600 copies of his newest release has sold at Costco already, but he has no idea why the chain refuses to sell more.
Were in the process of finding out whats happening, he said, The Blaze reported. I look forward to getting to the bottom of this and continuing the strong relationship my publisher and I have always had with Costco and their millions of shoppers.

All I know is that the most recent CEO of Costco ( who retired this year ) was a strong DNC supporter who spoke at their convention.
Costco is run by a leftist with an agenda.
And people think NSA spying on people within the US doesn’t have benefits. Here we see how senior leaders at Costco get help with their decision-making process.

I saw the book yesterday at Costco in Dallas.
Why??
....because it’s left-wing politics, dumbass!!
Then what? Will the Costco national socialist follow the traditions of the German National Socialists and have a public book burning?
One thing that most people don’t understand is that the New York Times best sellers list is not truly a best sellers list. The Times uses its own proprietary formula. Often, it does not match up very closely at all with actual sales. The formula heavily weighs independent book stores where a book like Dinesh’s wouldn’t necessarily be placed very well. I work at a Christian publisher and I can count on our books being at least 5-10 slots lower on the Times list than they should be based on actual sales (BookScan, accounts for 70-80 percent of all sales). The Wall Street Journal list uses actual sales numbers.
The Times also looks for wide geographic sales. We had an SEC football coach’s book who would have easily made the list if they used actual sales but didn’t make the list, seemingly because nearly all of the sales were in the southeast.
IIRC, there are no Costco stores in evil rightwing bigoted islamophobic homophobic South Carolina (where I live & why I love it).
The nearest Costco is across the border in Charlotte NC, a fairly liberal city (more a patchwork, really, I served in the Army Reserve there).
FWIW some of my fellow South Carolinians say “NC” stands for `northern commieland’.
Anyway, this is raw, ideologically driven censorship. They could hide D’Souza’s book in the back & make people ask for it, and still sell the book. But they prefer to practice suppression of dissenting views, instead.
I don't for a minute doubt the politics of the ownership. However, there are some things that I can tell you, as an insider who has published books sold at Costco and Wal-Mart and Target. *3500 copies sold on a roll out isn't bad---but it's not spectacular. Normally Barnes & Noble sets the stage with a pre-order. A pre-order of 20,000 copies is excellent, but I don't know how many B&N pre-ordered of this. However, once B&N does its pre-order, Costco and WM come in with their orders based on that. *700 copies in a week when you have a movie premiering, however, is not sufficient to keep a book in WM or Costco. Don't get me wrong, it's a good number. But after 10 years, my "Patriot's History" still sells about 250 copies a week with zero publicity and zero marketing. We'll sell 700 in Christmas weeks, easy. For comparison, "Patriot's History" after the Glenn Beck exposure was SHIPPING 19,000 copies . . . a day. So, what I'm guessing is that the book did a good initial sale, then has tapered off significantly. Costco and WM only carry the very hottest books. Again, not questioning whether Costco is a bunch of libs, but only providing a little inside baseball.

I requested my membership cease and emphatically stated why and told them to cease any mail or e-mails.
Did not receive a usual e-mail reply. However, just checked my e-mails and there in the junk mail was Costco trying to entice me to purchase their wares “Save on Back to School Uniforms, Travel and More!”
I feel more strongly about this than my boycott of JC Penney.
I think if some guy is waiting around to buy his copy only from Costco....he’s probably handcuffed himself to buy via them. I was a member of Costco for 12 months, then quit. There are some reasons to participate in their brand of shopping....but overall....they are forcing you to buy bulk and way more than you’d ever use. You stand there and watch people now arrange their garage with three or four cabinets of grocery items...stocking a twelve-month supply of noodle soup or toilet paper.
Jerome Corsi of Worldnetdaily did a little poking around to find out WHY Costco yanked the book...

For those interested in knowing how well the book is doing...
At Amazon.com, DSouzas book, released June 2, is ranked No. 43 overall and is the No. 3 hardcover book in Amazons Politics and Government section and No. 1 in the Commentary and Opinion subsection of Politics and Government.
RE: I saw the book yesterday at Costco in Dallas.
I think Costco’s target date for it to be totally gone is by end of this week...
Hate to burst your bubble, but there is a Costco at the junction I-26 and US 29 in Spartanburg. Of course Spartanburg and the rest of the Upstate is no longer the conservative utopia it was twenty years ago. Demographic changes portend destiny.
If Costco decided to pull Dinesh D’Souza’s book off its sales tables simply because it wasn’t selling, they made a poor business decision.
Thanks to ‘’America’s’’ movie tie-in, and maybe also because of publicity from the Costco brouhaha, the book has suddenly risen to #4 on the Amazon.com 100 Bestseller list.
People who enjoyed the movie and want to buy the book but can’t find it at Costco will be disappointed and go elsewhere, and Costco will lose sales and get a reputation for not carrying the top books.
Meanwhile, Hillary’s ‘’Hard Choices’’ has fallen to 93rd place on the Amazon.com 100.
Which means that if Costco’s decision about Dinesh D’Souza’s book was based on saleability rather than ideology, Costco would now be yanking Hillary’s book off their tables as quickly as possible and replacing them with new shipments of Dinesh D’Souza’s book.
IIRC, Upstate S.C. is in Trey Gowdy’s district or thereabouts.
And if you’ve ever been to the Beacon Drive-In in Spartanburg, you know that no latte-sipper would ever set foot in it. And here in Columbia there is a huge Hobby Lobby, across the street from Chick Fil-A.
The I-85/I-26 crossroads isn’t that far from hippie haven Asheville, this is true.
Threats from progressives?
“The book, in this midterm election year, is a strong rebuttal of the progressive ideology behind President Obamas policies, which have been supported by Costco co-founder and director Jim Sinegal, a major Democrat donor and a speaker at the 2012 Democratic National Convention that nominated the president. A Washington Post political reporter has noted Obamas romance with the nations second-largest retailer.”
