By QHillyer on Jan. 12, 2010 into Water Cooler Much more on this later. For now, just a heads-up that the Justice Department "responded" to subpoenas from the U.S. Civil Rights Commission, concerning the New Black Panther voting intimidation case, by citing (or inventing) seven different grounds to "object to each and every Interrogatory and Document Request" from the Commission......

Social activist, organizer ... and FBI informant It was all about stopping violence, says Austin man who revealed alleged firebomb plot at GOP convention. By David Hanners ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS Saturday, January 03, 2009 ST. PAUL, Minn. — In a federal courtroom in Minneapolis this month, the public transformation of Brandon Darby of Austin will become complete. In four years, he has gone from a never-trust-the-government activist to the confidential informant who helped the FBI arrest two Austin men on suspicion of building firebombs during the Republican National Convention in St. Paul in September. "I feel like, as an...

I just got home about 25 minutes ago from a frustrating afternoon to say the least. Long story short...my wife and I were leaving a restaurant late this afternoon after voting and as we were pulling out I noticed a very tall male between the ages of 18-20 yrs of age spray painting the huge McCain/Palin signs that were in front of the mall...he was putting the word "DON'T" in yellow spray paint with a nazi symbol on the bottom. He was doing this in broad daylight on a public road...so I turned my truck around and hauled it down...

My second syndicated column of the week looks at Barack Obama’s Call to Strong Arms. Looks like the “in-your-face” brigade has already struck — and vandalized GOP offices in Indiana and Florida. Expect more. We’ve been here before. *** Obama releases his “in-your-face” hounds by Michelle Malkin Creators Syndicate Copyright 2008 Warning: If your neighbor’s got an “Obama ‘08″ bumper sticker or lawn sign, you might want to double-check your door locks at night. The One has commanded his Purveyors of Change to go forth and proselytize to the unbelievers. And they’re not going to be knocking gently like Avon...

Janine Giambalvo wants people to know she supports John McCain as this country's next president, so she placed a McCain sign in her yard. But someone who apparently thinks McCain should lose has taken matter into his own hands. Giambalvo's sign was stolen sometime last Wednesday from her home in York Township's Marlborough West neighborhood. And police said hers is not the only one. Police from three local departments said residents have reported a number of McCain sign thefts from the York area, numbering about 17 at this point. Giambalvo said she is disgusted that someone would stifle her rights...

Not long ago, a neighbor confided to Gene Scrutton that she feared expressing her conservative political beliefs in their left-leaning Southeast Portland neighborhood, where Obama-Biden signs sprout like mushrooms in one front yard after another. That helped persuade Scrutton, a staunch Republican, to plant a gigantic Sen. John McCain campaign sign in his front yard. But in the blue center of a blue city, supporting the unofficial opposition can be a dangerous move, as Scrutton and his wife, Karen, discovered over the weekend. On Monday, two 23-year-old men were arraigned in an attack that involved hurling a Molotov cocktail at...

In a violent display of intolerance, an opponent of Proposition 8 attacked and seriously injured a man who was volunteering on Sunday for the initiative to define marriage as between and a man and a woman. Prop. 8 supporter, Jose Nunez, 37, was brutally assaulted while waiting to distribute yard signs to other supporters of the initiative after church services at the St. Stanislaus Parish in Modesto. The assailant grabbed about 75 signs and yelled at Nunez accusingly, “What do you have against gays!” Although Nunez replied that he had nothing against gays, he was attacked anyway. The assailant punched...

Obama image painted on Republican Club building NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama made an appearance here over the weekend at the campaign headquarters of the Republican Club of Southeast Volusia, or at least his image did. A likeness of the Illinois senator, in purple spray paint, was stenciled on the front window and outside columns of the Third Avenue headquarters overnight Friday. Club officials reported the vandalism Saturday morning and told police they would be willing to prosecute the responsible party. "I think it is some un-American, uninformed and misguided individual," headquarters committee chairman Bob McKeen...

Last night after the debate the McCain/Palin headquarters was vandalised. Someone threw a rock at the front window of the Worcester office on 149 Highland Street. The window was severely cracked and the police are being called upon to investigate. This action is very disappointing and I would hope the Democratic Party would condemn it.

If Barack Obama loses the 2008 election, liberal hell will break loose. Seven weeks before the 2008 presidential election, liberals are warning America that if Barack Obama loses, it is because Americans are racist. Of course, that this means that Democrats (and independents) are racist, since Republicans will vote Republican regardless of the race of the Democrat, is an irony apparently lost on the Democrats making these charges. That an Obama loss will be due to racism is becoming as normative a liberal belief as “Bush Lied, People Died,” a belief has generated intense rage among many liberals. But “Obama...

Leftist hate: Gore fans abuse, threaten Gore foes By DEROY MURDOCK Scripps Howard News Service 2007-04-05 00:00:00 NEW YORK -- The Tennessee Center for Policy Research recently generated headlines when it announced that former Vice President Al Gore's Nashville estate "devoured nearly 221,000 kilowatt-hours" of electricity in 2006, "more than 20 times the national average." This free-market think tank's phones lit up when it analyzed Nashville Electric Service's public records and identified an inconvenient gap between Gore's conservationism and his energy consumption. The research center's one-page press release was greeted with enough megawatts of hatred to power the South. "I...

'Execute Republicans,' says college prof Defends classtime instruction because she said it with a smile A part-time teacher at North Idaho College says it's all right to talk about executing "anyone who's ever voted Republican" as long as it's said with a smile. The belief was expressed by instructor Jessica Bryan when her comments were challenged by a student, Linda Cook, who served as an aide to the late U.S. Rep. Helen Chenoweth, R-Idaho, and is a longtime supporter of the Republican Party. Cook wrote to the school asking for a refund on fees she paid for a course taught...
