The inspections involved removing and replacing the wing’s leading edges and “ice protection panels”. The work was performed by maintenance firm Duncan Aviation at its facility in Battle Creek, Michigan. Duncan had given the jet’s primary captain a list...

Iran seized a Marshall Islands-flagged oil tanker sailing from the United Arab Emirates to Singapore, a US official told the Associated Press on Friday afternoon. The tanker had made a sudden course and began heading toward Iranian territorial waters, British maritime security firm Ambrey noted earlier Friday morning. Ambrey said the tanker, reported 22 nautical miles east of the UAE port of Khor Fakkan, had earlier been approached by three small boats while transiting southbound through the Strait of Hormuz before later deviating course in the Gulf of Oman. The agency said the incident was "likely highly targeted." The United...

President Donald Trump’s administration on Thursday designated four European left-wing groups as terrorist organizations, following through on his vow to crack down on leftists after the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. The networks targeted by Trump’s Republican administration all appear to be based in Europe, with no operations in the United States. They are an Italian anarchist front that sent explosive packages to the then-president of the European Commission in 2003, two Greek networks believed to have planted bombs outside riot police and labor department buildings in Athens, and an anti-fascist group whose members were prosecuted by German authorities...

After failing to find an attorney willing to take up Fulton County Fani Willis’ troubled 2020 election case, the prosecutor conducting the search for her replacement appointed himself. The Prosecuting Attorneys Council of Georgia (PACGA) faced a Nov. 14 deadline to select a new attorney or have the case dismissed. “The filing of this appointment reflects my inability to secure another conflict prosecutor to assume responsibility for this case,” PACGA Executive Director Peter Skanadlakis wrote. “Several prosecutors were contacted and, while all were respectful and professional, each declined the appointment. Out of respect for their privacy and professional discretion, I...

President Donald Trump’s appointees in many agencies are trying to apply old laws in new ways to deal with the H-1B problem, says Eric Sell, a lawyer working for Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon. “There’s a lot of will right now within this administration to address this problem [within the H-1B program], and a lot of it is new ways of enforcing old laws that are on the books,” Sell told a group of U.S. technology professionals on November 10. Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki immediately walked back her suggestion that President Donald Trump is among the “predators” named in the documents about sex offender Jeffrey Epstein during a Thursday segment. After making the suggestion that Trump is a predator, Psaki immediately noted on “The Briefing with Jen Psaki” that there is no evidence that Trump committed any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein’s sex trafficking operation. “You’re talking about the other predators out...

Eric Swalwell made a point of positioning himself as a high-profile Donald Trump critic and moral authority, appearing almost nightly on left-leaning TV shows for years. However, scandal also followed him, from his alleged ties to the Chinese spy “Fang Fang” to his removal from the House Intelligence Committee over national security concerns, to his infamous on-air mishap during a 2019 interview on Hardball with Chris Matthews. Apparently, Eric Swalwell’s public scandals didn’t come out of thin air. They were foreshadowed in his comedic and confused 2010 “Summary Dissolution” public divorce agreement with his first wife, Melissa Jane Maranda. It...

Tucker Carlson is now openly alleging that the Trump-era FBI — not just Biden’s — is lying about critical details of the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. That is the core, explosive thrust of his just-released video (embedded below): that the very federal law-enforcement leadership now serving in Trump’s second term — including his newly installed FBI team led by Kash Patel and Dan Bongino — is obscuring what really happened on the rooftop where Thomas Crooks nearly killed a former president. Carlson isn’t just challenging federal law enforcement; he is accusing Trump’s own handpicked security...
