Russian forces are still edging forward along several parts of the long front line in Ukraine – despite yet another call from US President Donald Trump for a combat freeze along existing lines. Both sides “should stop where they are,” Trump said on social media Friday, after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Washington DC. But the Russians seem intent on locking in gains before the onset of winter. On Friday, they used a record 268 guided aerial bombs, according to the Ukrainian military, compared to an average of 170 to 180 per day in recent weeks. These bombs,...

The exact nature of her condition has not been disclosed, but several French outlets have cited close family sources describing her health as “fragile but stable.” A private battle away from the public eye Bardot, who became an international symbol of sensuality and independence in the 1950s and 60s, has largely...

During his first month in office, Mayor Daniel Lurie achieved something remarkable: He received near-unanimous approval from San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors to make himself more powerful. The board voted to broaden Lurie’s power to dole out contracts related to homelessness, mental health and drug abuse, and to reduce its own control over the process. In interviews with over a dozen people who work in city politics, most agreed that the new administration is a sea change from former Mayor London Breed’s way of doing things, which was marked by interdepartmental animosity, bad blood with supervisors, and corruption. “There’s a...

President Donald Trump designated Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization in the wake of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk's assassination by a radical assassin who allegedly etched Antifa slogans into his bullet casings. In the interest of obliging Trump and finally destroying Antifa, the Justice Department and the FBI have evidently appealed to the expertise of some of those Americans who chronicled Antifa terrorists' crimes, analyzed their tactics, and identified their supporters while authorities previously sat on their hands. Antifa is an anarcho-communist militant group that has long threatened lives and property throughout the Western world. In a show...

Hamas politburo member Mohammed Nazzal stated that the terrorist organization intends to maintain security control in Gaza during an interim period and cannot commit to disarming. In an interview with the Reuters news agency from Doha, Nazzal said Hamas is prepared for a ceasefire of up to five years to allow for reconstruction, but insisted that future guarantees must offer Palestinian Arabs “horizons and hope” for statehood. He defended Hamas’s recent public executions in Gaza, claiming those killed were criminals and that “exceptional measures” are sometimes necessary during wartime. The remarks come days after the first phase of the ceasefire...

A study has found that a surgical technique developed to protect vision in patients with uveal melanoma, a rare cancer that arises inside the eye, may also lower the risk of the disease spreading and improve survival.. The study followed 37 patients who were treated for uveal melanoma. Most received targeted radiation, known as plaque brachytherapy, combined with a specialized procedure that replaces the eye's gel-like interior with silicone oil, a technique designed to shield healthy parts of the eye from radiation damage while allowing the tumor to receive the full cancer-killing dose. Over a median follow-up of more than...

The shutdown became one of the three longest in U.S. history on Friday, with lawmakers indicating they believe it will drag on and few signs emerging of progress toward reopening the government. Here are some key dates to keep an eye on in the coming weeks that could force action. Oct. 24: Next paycheck for federal employees Government employees — whether they are furloughed or...

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) — Crowds of people in Summerville have begun the first of two 'No Kings' demonstrations in the Charleston area Saturday. The "No Kings" movement says "millions" will gather around the US on Saturday. The planned protests come amidst an ongoing government shutdown threatening federal workers and services, Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations in Portland, and the Trump administration's flirtations with invoking the Insurrection Act to quash dissent.

VIDEODonde estan los Latinos? The most striking thing about the "No Kings" protest in downtown Miami is the almost complete LACK of Latin (Hispanic) folks in a protest composed almost entirely of non-Hispanic whites in a city which is over 70% Latino. This weird demographic situation is made even more stark by the fact that the only Latin person there seems to be the reporter you hear from a leftist Spanish language YouTube Channel. Yes, I'm sure there are probably a handful of Latin people at this protest but they appear to be well hidden among the crowd composed overwhelmingly of...

A former educator at Auburn University and the University of Alabama has sued college leadership in federal court after she says she was fired for a post responding to the assassination of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk. In her complaint against Auburn University, Candice Hale says that her firing violated her First Amendment rights. “Candice Hale exercised her right to speak on matters of public concern, the death of Charlie Kirk, a political figure—expression that lies at the core of the First Amendment—and was subsequently terminated for doing so," the complaint reads. “Such retaliation cuts to the heart of democratic principles,...

This weekend, millions are expected to flood the streets chanting “No Kings, No Secrets” in what’s being sold as a grassroots rebellion against authoritarianism. But peel back the curtain, and you’ll find a different story: one of dark money elite networks and carefully coordinated narratives. This isn’t the voice of the people; it’s a well-funded operation designed to shape perceptions and control outcomes. Amid the orchestrated chants of No Kings No Secrets there is zero excitement for this demonic cause. What is presented as a grassroots movement is instead a hollow spectacle driven by a web of dark money and...

“Many of us Jews feel these evangelicals love us for the wrong reasons. Because of their end-times views, they want to bring us all here so that a global war will come, we will be killed, and their Messiah will arrive.” She paused, then gave an image so striking I will never forget it: “It feels like a man who fattens a duck, feeding her daily and taking care of her—not because he loves her, but so that one day he can slaughter her.” Her words capture the deep suspicion and unease many Jews feel toward the false love of...
