“Many of us Jews feel these evangelicals love us for the wrong reasons. Because of their end-times views, they want to bring us all here so that a global war will come, we will be killed, and their Messiah will arrive.” She paused, then gave an image so striking I will never forget it: “It feels like a man who fattens a duck, feeding her daily and taking care of her—not because he loves her, but so that one day he can slaughter her.”
Her words capture the deep suspicion and unease many Jews feel toward the false love of Christian Zionism. This is not a love rooted in Christ but in a manipulative eschatology. It may be wrapped in the language of blessing, but at its core it treats the Jewish people as pawns in someone else’s prophetic scheme…
The Jewish nurse’s words reveal how hollow the Christian Zionists' “love” often feels. Rather than opening doors to the gospel, it hardens suspicion. If evangelicals support Israel merely to trigger Armageddon, then our “love” is no love at all—it is manipulation.

What rot!
Many Christians know what happened during the holocaust, and wish the Jewish people to have a homeland of their own.
Agree, Christians do not view people as projects, we love because He first loved us.
There could be some Christians who only love Israel because they think loving Israel is a condition of the last days.
I generally support Israel because it tries to be a righteous nation.
“and their Messiah will arrive”
Jesus is your Messiah too, you just rejected Him. How sad for you.
This a huge false argument made against Christians in the U.S. and worldwide.
Typical garbage you post
Don't care if it bothers you.
You snuggle up with the baby bakers if you like.
“I generally support Israel because it tries to be a righteous nation.”
It at least tries to live in peace. If it’s neighbors laid down their weapons tomorrow, there would be peace. If Israel laid down their weapons, they would be wiped out in a short period of time.
a manipulative eschatology

Oh look
FR.antifa with their regularly scheduled malicious obsessive compulsive dispensationalist / messianic Jew hate ,,with another LEGION Media / lefty “ Christian zionism “ narrative pushing urinalist rope news STORY to bash us with.
All behind a faux Christian Edgar suit and smileing sneer.
Must be another day ending in “y,”
For a proper perspective:
Genesis 12:1-3
New International Version
The Call of Abram
12 The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.
2 “I will make you into a great nation,
and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you.”
I generally support Israel because it tries to be a righteous nation.
Same! this is about Evangelism in the region though…
If your theology puts you on side with Hamas you’ve made a wrong turn somewhere.
How very Christ-like of you, not even to see why Evangelism might be hindered with an attitude like yours. 🙄 You just prove her point.
It’s false that you have to believe buy into all the end times jargon in order to support Israel.
You can support Israel politically and disagree with all the Rapture Ready Left Behind stuff.
Supporting Israel is not the same as buying into Dispensational Theology. The latter completely loses the plot and focus.
Thank you for making my point. Whether you buy into the “Left Behind” theology or not, Israelis are on balance the good guys and any agreement that leaves Hamas in place is misguided and guarantees the next war.
Agree with you about Hamas etc…But I was in Christian circles who DO NOT WANT PEACE or view it suspiciously because it compromises their End Times plot. Some going as far to badmouth Trump and any prospect of “deal” being made. 🙄he truth is the Christian worldview ultimately hinges on the Gospel message to make waves among both Muslims and Jews, and good to triumph over evil overall.
I can’t say every Jew has this viewpoint, but many have the idea that Christianity poses an existential threat to Judaism, because every Jew that accepts Christ is considered to have died.
In their minds, if they ever came around to the idea that Christ is the Messiah, Judaism will go extinct.
They’d rather be in a world of Islam than Christianity.
