Senate Republicans are not happy with House conservatives they view as hijacking the congressional agenda to make the disclosure of Jeffrey Epstein-related files their burning focus. GOP senators say the matter should be left to President Trump and the Department of Justice and want House lawmakers to pay more attention to finding a way to avoid a government shutdown at the end of September. Instead, House Republicans on the Rules Committee have brought their chamber to a partial standstill by refusing to vote down Democratic amendments to force the publication of Epstein-related files. The House is about to leave town...

Former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his wife Megan Kerrigan Byron’s neighbors find his alleged infidelity “disgusting” but believe the family deserves “privacy” as they navigate overnight fame and heartbreak. Those who live in the pair’s Kennebunk, Maine, neighborhood told the Daily Mail Thursday — just over a week after Andy’s alleged affair with an employee was exposed at a Coldplay concert — that “everyone has seen” the viral “kiss cam” video. “The family do not want to talk about it,” one angry local explained before asking the outlet to leave the exclusive street next to the Webhannet Golf Club....

America deserves better than the degenerate propaganda machine that passes for “elite” journalism. We deserve better than the evil “cracked out clown show” the Democratic Party has become. The New York Times and The Washington Post all but ignored DNI Tulsi Gabbard’s bombshell press conference Wednesday, at which she announced that she had sent criminal referrals to the DOJ and FBI implicating former President Barack Obama and his national security team in the “seditious conspiracy” of the Russia collusion hoax. No wonder the best of the Democrats have switched to the Trump GOP. Authentic, principled leaders who might once have...

More than 100 aid agencies and rights groups, including Save the Children and Doctors Without Borders, warned on Wednesday that “mass starvation” was spreading across Gaza, adding to calls for Israel to lift restrictions on humanitarian aid to the besieged enclave. The joint statement is the latest attempt to draw attention to a growing hunger crisis in Gaza. It was released after the European Union and at least 28 governments, including Israeli allies like Britain, France and Canada, on Monday condemned the “drip feeding of aid” and said that civilian suffering had “reached new depths.” Doctors Without Borders in Gaza...

Attorney General Pam Bondi informed President Trump in the spring that his name appeared in the Jeffrey Epstein files, according to three people with knowledge of the exchange. The disclosure came as part of a broader briefing on the re-examination of the case against Mr. Epstein, who died in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, by F.B.I. agents and prosecutors. It was made by Ms. Bondi during a meeting that also included the deputy attorney general, Todd Blanche, and covered a variety of topics. Ms. Bondi frequently meets with Mr. Trump to brief him on various matters, officials...

Sir Sadiq Khan has been informally advising the Democrats’ left-wing New York mayoral candidate on how to win his election. Zohran Mamdani, 33, shocked America’s political establishment last month by defeating the former governor Andrew Cuomo in the race to secure his party’s nomination. Sources say Mamdani and Khan have since exchanged texts and spoken over the phone. Khan’s advisers have also been in contact with Mamdani’s campaign team. The sources close to Khan add that Mamdani needs to move to the centre to widen his appeal, particularly as Cuomo and the incumbent mayor, Eric Adams, are running as independents...

Michal Cotler-Wunsh @CotlerWunsh: There is NO genocide in Gaza. There is war - waged by genocidal terrorists for whom human tragedy is the strategy; who use own people as human shields/sacrifices; who use int’l ‘humanitarian aid’ & civilian infrastructure to construct hundreds of km of underground hell. A war that would be over on October 8 if the 251 human beings stolen & held in standing violation of law & morality - 4 of them since 2014 - were returned; & if Hamas war criminals were held to account & prevented from openly declared intent to perpetrate genocidal October 7...

I know there is a lot of interest in the Jeffrey Epstein story and the new revelations from Tulsi Gabbard about Barack Obama and his team’s efforts to fan the flames of Russiagate. I have been all over the Russiagate matter since 2017. Here is the link to a piece I published on December 18, 2018 with the nifty title, The Trump Coup Is a Threat to Our Republic. I am glad the information is finally coming out, but I knew this seven years ago. What took them so long? While Tulsi’s revelations are legit, I think she is releasing...

BRUSSELS (Reuters) -The European Union is heading towards a trade deal with Washington that would result in a broad 15% tariff on EU goods imported into the U.S., avoiding a harsher 30% levy slated to be implemented from August 1, two EU diplomats said on Wednesday. The rate, which could also extend to cars, would mirror the framework agreement the United States struck with Japan. Officials from the European Commission, which negotiates trade deals on behalf of the 27-nation bloc, briefed EU envoys on the state of talks with their U.S. counterparts. U.S. President Donald Trump would ultimately make any...

Beege Welborn wrote about this last week while I was on vacation. Kansas City, Mo. has helped to fund a grocery store in a part of town considered a food desert. But it hasn't been going very well lately. The store, at this point, is basically empty despite millions of dollars of city support. The first sight walking into the Sun Fresh at Linwood Boulevard and 31st Street is the produce section. On Tuesday, the crates and shelves were nearly bare.“It make me want to walk right back out,” said Greg Hayslett, “but I had to get something. It’s mind boggling.”...A...

Lower levels of certain vitamins and minerals were found to be associated with chronic pain in a study. This is the first study to take a precision medicine approach to chronic pain on a large scale by broadly examining micronutrient levels of people with and without chronic pain and exploring the incidence of chronic pain in people with or without micronutrient deficiencies. The findings could inform personalized nutritional strategies to help manage chronic pain. The research team focused on five micronutrients commonly associated with chronic pain: vitamins D, B12, and C, folate and magnesium. They examined the micronutrient status of...

A new study has found that a commonly prescribed anti-nausea medication is associated with a better prognosis for women with early-stage breast cancer, particularly triple-negative breast cancer. The research team evaluated Cancer Registry of Norway data of 13,811 women diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer between 2008 and 2020 who received both chemotherapy and anti-nausea medications that are used to prevent chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting. In women with breast cancer, the use of the anti-nausea medication aprepitant during chemotherapy treatment was linked to an overall 11% lower risk of developing cancer recurrence and 17% lower risk of breast cancer-related death in...
