(See also, “The Jeffrey Epstein Case Is Far Bigger Than Jeffrey Epstein” by Vince Coyner.)It’s fairly rare that I agree with Glenn Beck on a political issue (he’s too much of a neocon for me), but he recently posted a brilliant thread on X detailing “five conclusions…for anyone who still cares about truth” on the latest chapter of the Jeffrey Epstein cover-up, this development unfolding under the Trump administration. (For brevity’s sake I won’t include the whole thread, but the beginning of it can be found here.)Now, I’ve seen a number of Republicans and conservatives declare that to some degree...

JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon slammed Zohran Mamdani as “more a Marxist than a socialist” — and also lashed out at “idiots” in the Democratic Party who focused too much on DEI and not enough on real-world policies. The head of the nation’s largest bank warned against voting for Mamdani, who won the Democratic primary for New York City mayor while pushing for a rent freeze, free buses and city-owned grocery stores. “This guy just got elected – he’s more of a Marxist than a socialist, and now you see these Democrats falling all over themselves saying, ‘Well, he’s pointing...

FBI deputy director Dan Bongino took a day off from work Friday after clashing at the White House with Attorney General Pam Bondi over their handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, four sources familiar with the conflict told Axios. Why it matters: The dispute erupted Wednesday amid the fallout of the administration walking back its claims about Epstein by determining the convicted sex offender didn't have a celebrity "client list," and that he wasn't murdered in his New York City prison cell in 2019. Bongino didn't come to work Friday, leading some insiders to believe he had quit. But administration...

Brazil threatened to hit back against Donald Trump’s plan to introduce 50% tariffs on its exports with its own 50% tariff on US goods, setting the stage for a precipitous trade war. “If he charges us 50%, we’ll charge him 50%,” Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the Brazilian president, told local news outlet Record, a day after Trump threatened to impose steep duties on Brazilian goods and accused the country of conducting a “witch-hunt” against its former president Jair Bolsonaro, who is facing a trial over his attempt to overturn his 2022 election defeat. Brazil could appeal to the World...

US President Donald Trump has said he will send weapons, including Patriot air defence systems, to Ukraine via Nato. Trump told NBC News that in a new deal, "we're going to be sending Patriots to Nato, and then Nato will distribute that", adding that Nato would pay for the weapons. His announcement came after Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke of having a "positive dialogue" with Trump about ensuring that arms arrived on time. He said he had asked for 10 Patriot systems after a surge in Russian drone and missile attacks on Ukrainian cities in the past week. Patriot batteries...

President Trump said Friday he plans to make a “major statement” on Russia early next week — as the Senate considers legislation to force his hand on sanctions after months of threats from the commander-in-chief. “I think I’ll have a major statement to make on Russia on Monday,” Trump told NBC News in a phone interview Thursday. “You’ll be seeing things happen,” Trump told a reporter Friday morning on the White House lawn when asked about an overnight Russian drone attack that damaged a maternity hospital in Ukraine’s second city of Kharkiv.

Since March, the son of the former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro has been roaming the halls of the White House. Eduardo Bolsonaro, 41, is a sitting Brazilian congressman, but his latest job has been to convince U.S. officials that a dangerous Brazilian Supreme Court justice wants to throw him and his father into prison, simply for fighting against what they claim was a stolen election. And in multiple visits to Washington over the past several months, he has found a sympathetic audience. “This is nothing more, or less, than an attack on a Political Opponent — Something I know much...

[Catholic Caucus] New Leak Challenges the Vatican Narrative (Again)Through all the years of Pope Francis, I have to believe that there were many good men in Rome who tried to do what they could. For example, Cardinal Pell’s anonymous memo to the Cardinalate denouncing Francis’s pontificate. Like I’ve said before, a bishop told me at the Eucharistic Congress in Indy, USA that the Trad movement actually has wide support among the bishops. But these good men are either cowardly, or wise as serpents, playing their cards at the proper time in the quagmire that is Vatican politics.Perhaps now these good...

Donald Trump has been vindicated after The New York Times accused him of pushing a false conspiracy theory about a migrant gang taking over a Colorado apartment building... only for the paper to now admit those same claims were true. The recall covers a wide range of Ford and Lincoln-branded vehicles made in recent model years. That includes certain Ford Broncos, Explorers and F-150s, as well as Lincoln Aviators and Navigators, documents published this week by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration note.
