President Trump said Friday he plans to make a “major statement” on Russia early next week — as the Senate considers legislation to force his hand on sanctions after months of threats from the commander-in-chief.
“I think I’ll have a major statement to make on Russia on Monday,” Trump told NBC News in a phone interview Thursday.
“You’ll be seeing things happen,” Trump told a reporter Friday morning on the White House lawn when asked about an overnight Russian drone attack that damaged a maternity hospital in Ukraine’s second city of Kharkiv.

Yes, more sanctions will really put the screws on Russia. The previous sanctions slowed their GDP growth all the way down to 3.6% in 2023. That is only a little more than 1% better than the United States did in the same time period. We are bleeding them dry!!!

If they were not already, the west will endeavor for regime change in Russia, if it’s the last thing they ever do.
Why bother changing the regime in Russia? Whoever comes after Putin won’t be any better and will quite probably be worse.
