An internal report prepared by officials in the county hit worst by the Fourth of July Texas floods predicted such an event would occur this year, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal. The report also said the number one priority for saving lives in heavy floods was to 'improve the delivery and effectiveness of warning messages'. - snip - But the report, published just nine months ago in October 2024, shows officials knew of the dangers but dragged their feet when it came to doing anything about them. Not only did the Kerr County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan explicitly note that a...

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson and James Worthy led the Lakers. Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars and Bill Laimbeer headlined the Pistons’ roster. I’m telling you I have no choice,’” Trump said during one 2024 fundraiser, according to the audio. “And then [Putin] goes, like, ‘I don’t believe you.’ But he believed me 10%.” The remarks, which came as Trump made his case for a...

Hello, this is Victor Davis Hanson for The Daily Signal. I usually don’t give advice to President Donald Trump, who knows much more about politics, obviously, than most of us. But I think he could use maybe a suggestion on messaging. He’s getting attacked by the Left for autocratic use of presidential powers, he’s dictatorial. You’d almost forget that the Left and the Biden administration, in particular, through five criminal and civil courtrooms, fined him over $400 million, coordinated those legal harassments, and indicted him for 93 felonies. They tried to destroy, not just his candidacy, but his person, to...

I was thinking of spreading a few moth balls amid my clothes (pockets and folds) in my closet. But when the box of moth balls arrived, they were covered in such dire POISON! warnings that it seems like a bad idea to even use them. Like I shouldn't use them where I might breathe them. Mustn't even touch them with my hands (so it says on the box).Yet when I was a kid, my mother always spread a few moth balls amid the clothes in her closets.

Built by 30-year-old Italian mechanic Andrea Marazzi, the insane vehicle was put together using parts from an original 1993 Fiat Panda and was recently demonstrated at the 45th anniversary of the Panda in Pandino - a small town in Italy to the southeast of Milan. The car is so thin that it's impossible to even fit inside unless you happen to be relatively slim. While certainly helpful for fitting into tiny gaps, the car is a little on the unstable side, though it does at least take a bit more than just a stiff breeze to cause it to topple...
