Washington — The Supreme Court on Friday upheld the structure of a federal health task force that recommends preventive medical services that must be provided to patients at no cost under the Affordable Care Act. The ruling from the Supreme Court in the case known as Kennedy v. Braidwood Management, Inc. leaves intact the 16-member U.S. Preventive Services Task Force. The task force is part of the Department of Health and Human Service and has for decades been making recommendations on preventive medical services to avoid serious health conditions. The court ruled 6-3 in finding that the task force members...

USNS Harvey Milk will be the USNS Oscar V. Peterson. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the new name for the naval ship USNS Harvey Milk will be the USNS Oscar V. Peterson. "We are taking the politics out of ship naming," Hegseth said in a statement to officially announce the name change. Why It Matters Hegseth has vowed to uproot what he has characterized as the woke agenda from the military, restoring what he has called the "warrior ethos" and renaming the USNS Harvey Milk is part of that broader drive. Harvey Milk was California's first openly gay politician and...

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Friday handed a major win to the Trump administration by allowing it to take steps to implement its proposal to end automatic birthright citizenship. In a 6-3 vote, the court granted a request by the Trump administration to narrow the scope of nationwide injunctions imposed by judges so that they apply only to states, groups and individuals that sued. That means the birthright citizenship proposal can likely move forward at least in part in the states that challenged it as well as those that did not. The court was divided on ideological lines, with...

In its latest rallying cry, the organization is calling for a week-long boycott of the fast-food giant McDonald's, starting today. ... The advocacy group is demanding that the fast-food giant company impose "fair taxes, an end to price gouging, real equality and corporate accountability," Schwarz wrote in a post. The campaign urges consumer to not spend their money at the business for a week. ... The company said...

In a sweeping ruling, the Supreme Court limited the ability of federal judges to block executive actions throughout the country through nationwide injunctions, greatly affecting how parties seek judicial relief going forward. The court’s 6-3 ruling Friday, with all six GOP-appointed justices in the majority, deals a significant blow to legal challenges against President Donald Trump’s extreme executive orders and other actions, many of which have been blocked or temporarily put on hold through nationwide injunctions. Nationwide, or universal, injunctions prevent the government from enforcing a law, regulation, or policy across the entire U.S. — not just against the specific...

This will make your blood boil. Yesterday the Dept of Energy Secretary Chris Wright testified that in the 76-day period between the day Trump was elected and the day Biden left office, Biden’s Dept of Energy handed out $93 BILLION in taxpayer dollars in the form of loans—including to businesses and individuals who had no clear business plan or concept. For the record, this $93 billion—handed out in a mere 76 days—is over twice as much as the Dept of energy has handed out in the PREVIOUS FIFTEEN YEARS. Absolutely appalling.

Rick Hurst, who portrayed the good-hearted Deputy Cletus Hogg on the long-running CBS action comedy The Dukes of Hazzard, died Thursday. He was 79. Hurst’s death was announced by the Cooter’s Place museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. He had just canceled a scheduled July 3-7 appearance there. “To fans, he was more than a character — he was family,” reads a Dukes of Hazzard post on Instagram. “His gentle smile, impeccable comedic timing and kind-hearted spirit made every scene brighter.

Although Americans remain more likely to say their sympathies in the Middle East situation are with the Israelis rather than the Palestinians, the 46% expressing support for Israel is the lowest in 25 years of Gallup’s annual tracking of this measure on its World Affairs survey. The previous 51% low point in this trend of Americans’ sympathy for Israelis was recorded both last year and in 2001. At the same time, the 33% of U.S. adults who now say they sympathize with the Palestinians is up six percentage points from last year and the highest reading by two points. The...

A young Syrian national has been charged with supporting a foreign terror group over a foiled plot to attack a Taylor Swift concert in Vienna last August. Mohamed A, who is described by German authorities as a juvenile and not in custody, is accused of following the ideology of jihadist group Islamic State (IS) and helping another suspect to prepare the attack. Concert organisers called off Taylor Swift's three sold-out gigs on the eve of the first show at Vienna's Ernst Happel Stadium last year, disappointing tens of thousands of fans during her Eras Tour. Authorities arrested several suspects at...

The America First movement now has an actual garbage man to lead the removal of trash in the nation’s capital. At least that is how Nate Morris, the just-announced Kentucky businessman and U.S. Senate candidate, is framing his bid to replace longtime Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) in a launch video provided exclusively to Breitbart News ahead of its public release. “It’s garbage day in Kentucky — and thanks to Mitch McConnell, things have gotten dirty. The Bluegrass State is sick and tired of cleaning up career politicians’ messes,” Morris says in the ad as he rides a garbage truck around...

The Associated Press appears to believe that people are waking up every day having nervous breakdowns over the spectre of — wait for it — climate change. AP lifestyle writer Leanne Italie put out a crackpot piece of green freak propaganda June 25 that competed with The Babylon Bee for funniest satire of the day. “Anxiety, grief, anger, fear, helplessness. The emotional toll of climate change is broad-ranging, especially for young people.” Yes, this was a real sentence in what is supposedly a news item. It just got worse: “Many worry about what the future holds, and a daily grind...

PSAKI: You’re going to be dealing with tremendous attacks from MAGA Republicans. We’ve already seen that over the last 24 hours, including from Stephen Miller, Elise Stefanik, the NRCC. They’re already trying to run an Islamophobic campaign against you, which I will just note, and you’ve lived this, but for people who are just tuning in, is a continuation of some of the tactics that we saw during the primary. But it’s going to come tenfold. I know you know that, but how are you going to handle that personally? MAMDANI: You know, it’s sad in that in one sense...

Five House Republicans on Thursday threatened to vote down the GOP megabill if the Senate includes a provision to sell public lands for development. The move comes after Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) sought to include those sales in the bill, and this week revised and narrowed his proposal after the Senate parliamentarian ruled that his initial language did not comply with the strict rules governing measures that can be included in party-line reconciliation bills. “We cannot accept the sale of federal lands that Sen. Lee seeks,” wrote the five Republicans led by Rep. Ryan Zinke (R-Mont.). “If a provision to...

RCP's Phil Wegmann interviewed 'Border Czar' Tom Homan on Thursday's edition of the RealClearPolitics podcast about Iranians arrested by ICE this week, two million people who entered the U.S. without registering at all during the Biden administration, and what the "Big, Beautiful Bill" will do on immigration enforcement. "It's hard to find someone who doesn't want to be found, but it’s our number one focus," Homan said. "We didn't wait for the attack in Iran, but right now we put our foot on the gas with what happened in Iran." "We all know we had an open border for the...
