One of the most controversial cities and professions in our country is Hollywood and the entertainment industry. Christians across the country have, for decades, boycotted entertainment companies, shows, films, and people. They have talked against Hollywood and even stopped their young creative family members and friends from coming to Hollywood to start a career. Why would there be such animosity toward just another city and another industry and another group of people? Especially when God's first act was creation and there are examples of creative people, prophets, and leaders all throughout the Bible. Many Christians in Hollywood believe it's a...

We find in the Bermuda Advocate, of April 26, a very full report of the examination of a confederate of Dr. BLACKUBN, a Mr. SWAN, in the infamous conspiracy to introduce yellow fever into New-York and other Northern cities by means of infected clothing. Mr. SWAN was cited before the magistrates at St. Georges, and after an examination of a large number of witnesses was committed for trial. The pressure on our columns is so great that we can give only the principal points of the testimony. The examination occupied several days. THE TESTIMONY. Mr. Thies, President of the Board...

Disgraced former FBI Director James Comey is under federal investigation for an Instagram post that some interpret as a call to assassinate President Donald Trump. On Thursday, the deep state operative posted a cryptic Instagram photo of seashells arranged to spell out “86 47,” with a caption that read, “Cool shell formation on my beach walk.” But patriots and truth-seekers on social media weren’t fooled, quickly decoding the sinister message: “86” — a known slang term for “to kill” or “get rid of” — paired with “47,” a clear reference to Trump, the 47th President of the United States. Comey...

Jeff Bezos’ Washington Post is commiserating with wealthy restaurant owners who are trying to shield their lower-wage, illegal migrant workers from President Donald Trump’s crackdown on legal migration. “Owners or operators of four restaurants confirmed to the Washington Post that they had lost employees, whether permanently or temporarily, since DHS agents visited last week,” the newspaper reported. “If they want to go by the [law] book, there is not many restaurants left in D.C.,” said Luis Reyes, a former illegal migrant from El Salvador who is now the co-owner of a restaurant visited by ICE. He added: Who will wash...

The Boeing 747-8 being offered to U.S. President Donald Trump by Qatar once served the Qatari royal family and has been sitting unsold for years. The jet, a lavishly configured version of Boeing's largest passenger aircraft, has been lingering without a buyer since being put up for sale in 2020, according to aircraft listings and aviation analysts. Trump has publicly expressed frustration with Boeing's yearslong delay in delivering two modified 747s for presidential use. The president has argued that by accepting Qatar's offer, he can bypass delays and save U.S. taxpayers money. Critics, however, fear that the acceptance would be...

A teenage illegal immigrant who killed a 24-year-old Colorado woman during a high-speed crash was given a lenient plea deal by a progressive district attorney that allowed him to walk free without serving any jail time. The 15-year-old Colombian teen, who has not been publicly named because of state laws that shield the identity of underage criminal suspects, was sentenced to two years probation and 100 hours of community service for the July 2024 death of Kaitlyn Weaver, her father, John Weaver, told Fox News Digital. The office of Arapahoe County District Attorney Amy Padden offered the teen a plea...

CNN senior legal analyst Elie Honig said Thursday on CNN’s “The Source” that former FBI Director James Comey’s social media post about President Donald Trump that featured a photo of seashells arranged to read, “86 47,” was not criminally chargeable. Kaitlan Collins said, “Listen to what the Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard – just to give you a sense of what administration officials are saying – what she just said tonight.” Fox News host Jesse Watters said, “Do you believe Comey should be in jail?” Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard said, “I do. Any other person with a...

Daily Readings from the USCCBJesus said to his disciples: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me.” John 14:1In John’s Gospel, Chapters 14–17 present us with what is referred to as Jesus’ “Last Supper Discourses,” or His “Final Discourses.” These are a series of sermons given by our Lord to the disciples the night He was arrested. These discourses are deep and filled with symbolic imagery. He speaks of the Holy Spirit, the Advocate, the vine and the branches, the world’s hatred, and these discourses conclude with Jesus’ High Priestly Prayer....

Google is making an important change to Chrome on Windows. The browser will no longer run with administrator privileges by default. This change is designed with the intent to protect users from potentially malicious threats. As Bleeping Computer explains, when Chrome runs with administrator rights, any file that you download can pose a security risk. What that means is a malicious file that a user downloads could run with full system access, and in turn jeopardize the operating system. Microsoft Edge has a feature which was introduced in 2019 that prevents it from launching with elevated privileges. Edge displays a...

The liberal ‘sanctuary city’ of Denver, Colorado is experiencing an outbreak of law and order, following the deportation of criminal illegal immigrants by ICE. Who knew such a thing could happen? Homicides in Denver and other Colorado cities are down by a whopping 60 percent. Are liberals still going to argue against the policy of deporting people in the country illegally? Are they still going to try to defend members of MS-13 and other gangs? It’s almost like enforcing laws works out well for law abiding citizens. Almost.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development has allocated $30 million toward a jobs program designed to help work-eligible households transition into employment. Despite the funding, nearly 50 percent of HUD-assisted households that qualify for work have no employed members, raising concerns about the effectiveness of the initiative. Federal officials launched the program with the expectation that it would increase workforce participation among low-income families receiving housing assistance. The plan included job training, placement services, and financial incentives aimed at encouraging employment. However, participation rates have remained shockingly low, with many recipients choosing not to engage in the program.

Nearly half a century after a young California woman was strangled, officials say a thumbprint on a carton of cigarettes has led to an arrest. Willie Eugene Sims was arrested in Jefferson, Ohio, in connection with the death of Jeanette Ralston, according to a Friday statement from the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office. Sims, 69, has been charged with murder and was arraigned on Friday in Ashtabula County Court before being sent to California. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently announced that they are going to phase out all eight petroleum-based food dyes from America’s food supply. According to FDA Commissioner Marty Makary, 40% of kids in the United States have a chronic medical condition, and one in seven kids is on medication. Studies have shown that petroleum-based food dyes may cause tumors, affect nerve cells, increase hyperactivity, cause allergic reactions, inflammation, and neurobehavioral...

The new regime in Damascus, under President Ahmad al-Sharaa, does not rule out the possibility of transferring to Israel the remains of Israeli spy Eli Cohen, Lebanon's Al-Akhbar newspaper reported Friday morning, quoting Arab diplomats. Cohen was hanged in Syria in 1965. In an article written by the paper’s editor, Ibrahim al-Amin, it was claimed that intensive security talks have recently been taking place between Israel and Syria. The author noted that Damascus has expressed a willingness to reveal the burial sites of Israeli soldiers who went missing in Syria during the First Lebanon War in 1982. .....
