When I was in my mid-20s, more than 40 years ago, I backpacked throughout Europe, for two months. I hitchhiked and rode trains across 13 countries, staying in youth hostels with their daily required chores, fully immersing myself into city and rural life. It left a deep impression that I'll never forget. Back then, each country had border controls, so the flow between nations was slowed, keeping the cultures and behaviors unique. One common trait across all nations was their habit of entering a nearly empty rail car to sit next to you. From this, I was immersed into countless...

A senior Russian general has died in a car bombing in the Russian city of Balashikha on Friday, according to authorities, with news of the blast breaking just before US President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff met with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Moscow. Witkoff was received by Putin at the Kremlin early on Friday afternoon, the Russian state news agency Tass reported, saying the US envoy has also met with senior Russian negotiator Kirill Dmitriev. Earlier on Friday, Yaroslav Moskalik, deputy head of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, was killed...

“‘You have heard that it was said, “An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.” But I say to you, do not resist an evil person’” (Matthew 5:38–39). Christians are to “resist the devil” (James 4:7; cf. 1 Peter 5:9) and all that his evil world system stands for (Matt. 6:13; Rom. 12:9; 1 Thess. 5:22). This proves that, although Jesus refuted the Jewish leaders’ wrong teaching that people should take revenge in personal matters, our Lord did not teach that His followers simply had to tolerate all sorts of sinful misconduct and evil. The resistance of...

China appears to have quietly rolled back retaliatory tariffs of 125% on some semiconductors made in the US, according to details provided to CNN on Friday by three import agencies in the southern technology hub of Shenzhen, as Beijing tries to soften the blow of an ongoing trade war on its all-important tech industry. The exemptions apply to integrated circuits, also known as microchips or semiconductors, according to the agencies. They found out about the exemptions, which have not been officially announced, on Thursday. On April 12, China raised its reciprocal tariffs to 125% for all goods originating from the...

Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett exemplifies new confrontational approach as party members reject 'respectability prison' in battle against MAGA Republicans. "Resistance" Democrats are starting to abandon civil politics in favor of a new provocative and combative "dark woke," a new report says. The term "dark woke" refers to an online meme that gained popularity in January amid President Donald Trump’s inauguration. Under the "#darkwoke" tag, left-leaning X users share jokes and memes delighting in or wishing for the suffering of Trump supporters. Though the term is largely an online phenomenon, some members of the Democratic Party are beginning to see some...

🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(4/25/25)[Prayer]Names and Titles of God the Holy Spirit (Witness) Acts 5:29-3229 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. 30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. 31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. 32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that...

Tony, an energetic 7-year-old who loves playing football and roughhousing with his brothers wasn’t all that excited when his parents took the family to see Santa in December. SEATTLE — A group of Seattle homeowners is suing the city alleging elected leaders have knowingly allowed Denny Blaine Park to become "a regional venue for criminal and uncivil behavior." The homeowners point to numerous cases of public masturbation "in broad daylight" and said that instead of attempting to end the activity, Seattle is planning to spend taxpayer money on “public masturbation deterrent infrastructure” at the park. The case cites many videos, court records, and meeting notes to suggest Mayor Bruce Harrell, Seattle City Councilmember Joy Hollingsworth, and Parks Superintendent AP Diaz “are well aware” of the escalating situation and...

The vibe around President Trump’s second term has shifted, and it’s all his doing. The president entered office with a bit of a wind at his back. His polling was better than the first time around, protesters weren’t in the streets, and federal investigators weren’t after him. The GOP was more united than in 2016 and business leaders wanted to work with him, while the culture was generally heading in an anti-woke direction. Now, though, his polling is in a marked decline. His job approval rating is sliding. Depending on what poll you believe, it’s down to 44 percent (Fox...

Berlin (AFP) – German chemicals giant Bayer said Friday it could be forced to pull its Roundup weedkiller from the market if it is not able to limit simmering legal troubles. "We're nearing a point where the litigation industry could force us to even stop selling this vital product," CEO Bill Anderson said at Bayer's annual general meeting. Bayer has been dogged by lawsuits linked to Roundup since it acquired the US manufacturer Monsanto in a blockbuster deal in 2018. Claimants have alleged that glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup, causes blood cancers but Bayer says scientific studies and regulatory...

Government assistance programs are not the only systems buckling under Cloward-Piven-designed overload.... John Maynard Keynes, who should be burning in Hell for his shyster economic theories, is largely responsible for our current looming apocalypse. His theory basically is that only demand, made more real than just wishing for things by creating fiat money and credit, is important, since in his myopic, context-dropping theory, people produce a supply when there is a demand. (That they’d want the money they are paid to be valuable enough to buy someone else’s products he neglects to envision.) SNIP Keynes is also famous for saying:...

BURLINGTON, Vt. - Vermont’s consumers are not buying electric vehicles as fast as the state’s rules require, according to data collected by the Vermont Vehicle Distributors Association. “We’re between a rock and a hard place, quite frankly,” says Vermont Vehicle and Automotive Distributors Association representative, Matt Cota To meet goals in Vermont’s Global Warming Solutions Act, the Agency of Natural Resources set standards for the number of electric vehicles that should be on the road by 2035. “We’re showing exponential growth, but we’re not showing the type of growth as required by law. The law requires 35%, we’re only at...

New York Attorney General Letitia James has tapped criminal defense attorney Abbe Lowell — who previously defended Hunter Biden against federal tax and gun charges — as she fights mortgage fraud allegations. Lowell, a partner at the Winston & Strawn LLP law firm, was hired by the Office of the New York State Attorney General and not retained personally by James, according to the Times Union. The decision to hire Lowell, a prominent white-collar defense lawyer, was based in part on the AG’s office belief that the bombshell criminal referral filed by Federal Housing Finance Agency Director William Pulte earlier...
