In New York, adultery is no longer illegal. On Friday, Governor Kathy Hochul approved the repeal of 1907 legislation that forbade the conduct. The penal law of New York had previously stated that “a person is guilty of adultery when he/she engages in sexual intercourse with another person at a time when he/she has a living spouse, or the other person has a living spouse.” The law was considered a Class B misdemeanor if broken, which carries a sentence of up to three months. The New York State Senate referred to the law as “outdated,” labeling it Biblically based.“While I’ve...

Blunt force Perhaps the most obvious and most low-tech solution on the UAS mitigation market is to knock the drone out of the air with another object. Department 13’s MESMER – which competed in last year’s MITRE Counter-UAS challenge – actively hacks the connection between the pilot and the drone by manipulating the radio communication protocol. The operator can then force the drone to land or return home. Directional RF interference Higher-grade, large-scale options are now being marketed for the rigours of military use in the form of multi-tiered, radar-based systems.

When it comes to staying fit, consistency is the most important factor. You can’t rely on occasional workouts to stay in shape, even if they are long and grueling. In fact, as men age, daily, shorter workouts tend to be far more effective for maintaining strength, mobility, and aerobic fitness. That's why we've mapped out five of the best daily exercises for men to stay fit.

A few weeks ago, Peanut the Squirrel was murdered by New York state officials. The great minds who run the Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) would probably object to me saying this and perhaps even claim that I’m libeling them for expressing my opinion, but let’s be real here. They took an animal that wasn’t harming anyone and killed it. Killing without some good reason is murder. Sure, the law in New York can and no doubt will be used as an excuse, but if the goal is to protect wildlife, killing a tame squirrel makes no sense. Hitler’s concentration...

Deep within the ice sheet of Greenland lies a US military secret that hasn't been seen since the 1960s, but a NASA flyover earlier this year has provided an unprecedented look at the buried Cold War relic. Camp Century, constructed in 1959 by the US Army Corps of Engineers, was built directly into the ice sheet of Greenland, giving it an interior reminiscent of Echo Base on the frozen world of Hoth in The Empire Strikes Back. At the heart of the facility was the PM-2A portable nuclear reactor, which provided power for the sprawling "city under the ice" that...

People with HIV who need a kidney or liver transplant will be able to receive an organ from a donor with HIV under a new rule announced Tuesday by U.S. health officials. Previously, such transplants could be done only as part of research studies. The new rule, which takes effect Wednesday, is expected to shorten the wait for organs for all, regardless of HIV status, by increasing the pool of available organs. 'This rule removes unnecessary barriers to kidney and liver transplants, expanding the organ donor pool and improving outcomes for transplant recipients with HIV,' said U.S. Health and Human...

The collagen of a 68-million-year-old T. rex painted a curious family portrait. Image credit: David Shayani Photography / Shutterstock.com There’s an incredible meme that depicts a chicken looking to the skies Simba style and being met with a Tyrannosaurus rex saying “Remember who you are.” It’s a fantastic visual and one that carries some truth, because the closest living relative to T. rex could well be a chicken, or possibly an ostrich. This was the big news that followed a 2008 study that used proteins extracted from dinosaur bones to see how closely the molecular data compared to living animals....

Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah on Tuesday agreed to a permanent ceasefire in cross-border hostilities, following a year-long conflict between the Jewish state and Iranian-backed groups. President Joe Biden announced the deal, which was brokered by France and the U.S. “Under the deal reached today, effective at 4:00 a.m. tomorrow, local time, the fighting across the Lebanese Israeli border will end,” Biden said in the White House Rose Garden. “This is designed to be a permanent cessation of hostilities,” he added. “What is left of Hezbollah and other terrorist organizations will not be allowed, I emphasize, will not be allowed, to...

Explanation: This floating ring is the size of a galaxy. In fact, it is a galaxy -- or at least part of one: the photogenic Sombrero Galaxy is one of the largest galaxies in the nearby Virgo Cluster of Galaxies. The dark band of dust that obscures the mid-section of the Sombrero Galaxy in visible light (bottom panel) actually glows brightly in infrared light (top panel). The featured image shows the infrared glow in false blue, recorded recently by the space-based James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) and released yesterday, pictured above an archival image taken by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope...

Remembering the release of the hostages after 444 days just as soon as our beloved Ronald Reagan became president. Even before acting. Of course the psychological effect of the 'new sheriff in town' (i.e. Trump) 'worked' in the negotiation So, Mr Biden, don't take all the credit, please.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Tuesday he had a “good call” with President-elect Trump following the incoming U.S. leader’s pronouncement that he would impose a 25 percent tariff on Canadian goods when he takes office. “I had a good call with Donald Trump last night again,” Trudeau told reporters Tuesday. “We obviously talked about laying out the facts, talking about how the intense and effective connections between our two countries flow back and forth.

The news media is calmly warning that Donald Trump is planning to ban transgender servicemembers from the American military, which will absolutely gut the armed forces. Sample claim, from Newsweek, quoting the leader of an LGBT advocacy nonprofit: "Abruptly discharging 15,000-plus service members, especially given that the military's recruiting targets fell short by 41,000 recruits last year, adds administrative burdens to war fighting units. "There would be a significant financial cost, as well as a loss of experience and leadership that will take possibly 20 years and billions of dollars to replace." We’ll practically have no military left! It would...

They were actively monitored after they were seen in the vicinity of and over the three bases, U.S. Air Forces Europe said in a statement on Sunday.

A pastor’s family in Michigan is questioning why the illegal immigrant driver involved in the fatal crash that killed their loved one was released after the incident. Stephen Singleton, 72, died following severe injuries sustained when he was struck by a vehicle driven by an illegal immigrant earlier this month. The driver involved in the crash was identified as a citizen of Colombia who had entered the United States illegally, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Authorities released the driver pending a future court date, a decision that has left the Singleton family seeking answers. “I had to sit...

Former National Security Advisor John Bolton claimed Tuesday on CNN’s “Newsroom” that President-elect Donald Trump’s pick to lead the intelligence community former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard’s (D-HI) views were “on a different planet.” Host Jim Acosta said, “We’ve seen Matt Gaetz withdraw his nomination for attorney general. Should Tulsi Gabbard do the same for Director of National Intelligence?” Bolton said, “Well look, she said many things publicly that I think disqualify her. These are not just because her views are extreme. They are on a different planet. they are the views of somebody who doesn’t understand anything about American interests. And...

A new lawsuit has been filed against the embattled International House of Prayer Kansas City and the Forerunner Christian Fellowship, alleging leaders failed to take action after it was reported to them that a minor attending one of their retreats was being bullied and sexually harassed by another attendee, resulting in the activity continuing. Boz Tchividjian, one of the attorneys representing the plaintiff, told the Kansas City Star: During the same weekend when allegations of Mike Bickle’s abuses were coming to light, our minor client attended a youth retreat hosted by IHOPKC. While at the retreat, our client was victimized...

Days ago, it was announced that Jonathan Lamb, the son of Daystar Television Network founders Marcus and Joni Lamb, had been fired from the global Christian network giant. According to Daystar, Lamb was terminated as head of the network’s cafe, facilities, and distribution department for failing to meet his performance improvement plan. Notably, one of the points of this plan included: “Refrain from posting comments in a conversation, text or email or on your or Suzy’s (his wife) blogs and social media regarding any of the following without first obtaining the written approval of its content from the CEO or...

The National Leadership Team of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church has written an encyclical to address frequently asked questions about the state of the EPC, its organization, doctrinal issues, and “direct criticisms.” The lengthy letter dated November 6 does not claim to be an “authoritative document,” but an attempt to answer questions. According to the authors, it is meant to be shared among elders and sessions within the denomination, perhaps to stimulate discussion. “This letter also indicates that we do not want to adjudicate through the press or other online venues,” the National Leadership Team wrote. Both MinistryWatch and Christianity Today...
