Following the United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer's statement in a speech last week that social media companies had not done enough to police speech on their platforms and that actual British police would be monitoring speech online, X owner Elon Musk made reference on Tuesday that the U.K. is sliding into an Orwellian society. "Britain is turning into the Soviet Union," Peter Imanuelsen wrote Tuesday. "Seriously," Musk replied. Imanuelsen's comment ostensibly referred to last Monday's deaths of three girls during a Taylor Swift-themed dance event at the hands of a British national born to Rwandan parents.

Politico reports that the Harris Campaign has deleted the reference to Walz being a retired "Command Sergeant Major" from his campaign website bio. THAT IS A CONCESSION the criticism is correct, and that it has done damage. And that they did not know of this problem when he was named.

50 years of fraudulent political journalismWith Richard Nixon’s resignation, the Washington Post learned that journalism had the power to make or break a president — and that it could deceive the public to serve a partisan agenda. On August 8, 1974, Richard Nixon announced his resignation as our president, the only such event in American history. While the Watergate scandal is widely recognized as journalistically impelled, few realize that the sensational reporting was not only partisan but also fraudulent. After the arrest of five burglars on the morning of June 17, 1972, the Washington Post quickly learned the true target of...

Germany’s leading car parts supplier ZF has recently been forced to cut one-fifth to one-quarter of its workforce, owing in part to Chinese competition and in part to “weak demand for electric vehicles.” Other firms like Bosch, Continental, and Webasto have also been forced to “restructure.” Yet the CEOs of these companies continue absurdly to believe in the future of “electromobility,” since the European Union plans to outlaw fossil fuel-powered vehicles as of 2035. The short-sightedness of EU bureaucrats will lead inevitably to market implosion and an economic collapse, and the car-makers have no option, it seems, but to comply...

Joe Biden hasn’t done much since he dropped out of the 2024 presidential race less than three weeks ago. He showed up on the tarmac last week when Evan Gershkovich finally came home… and then got on Gershkovich’s plane instead of Air Force One.1 But that’s about it.This week he did an interview with CBS News, scheduled to air Sunday morning, just to remind America that he’s as sharp as ever and everything is fine.Tell ‘em, Joe!CBS “journalist”: Are you confident that there will be a peaceful transfer of power, January 2025?Joe: If Trump wins, no, I’m not confident at...

The Minnesota National Guard has disputed Gov. Tim Walz’s claims about his military service, saying he did not retire as a command sergeant major as he has said. In a statement to Just The News, a spokesperson for the Minnesota National Guard confirmed that Walz retired as a master sergeant “in 2005 for benefit purposes because he did not complete additional coursework at the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy.” Walz claimed he retired from the National Guard as a command sergeant major; the claim even appears in his official biography on the Minnesota government’s website (archived here). Yet other veterans...

Lawmakers in New York's Nassau County approved a bill banning masks in public spaces, saying the move will help fight crime during protests. The measure, which passed earlier this week and was headed to Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman's desk to sign, makes wearing a mask and concealing identity a misdemeanor that is punishable by up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine, ABC News reported. Proponents for the bill in the suburban Long Island county say the measure was necessary after the protests in connection with the Israel-Hamas war.

What had been obvious “to the rest of us” for years, is finally official: late last night, shares of Warner Bros. Discovery, the parent of CNN and TNT, crashed 10% to the lowest level on record after it reported dire results, which missed across the board and plunged across every income statement category… … but the biggest hit – and surprise – was the company’s stunning $9.1 billion charge taken to write down the value of its traditional TV networks, such as CNN and TNT, which were acquired in 2022 when Warner Bros Discovery was created as part of its...

Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.), the Democratic nominee for Senate in the Grand Canyon State, excoriated the Biden administration Thursday for what he called insufficient federal support on extreme heat. Gallego issued the statement the day after Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra called extreme heat a “public health crisis” in Phoenix before meeting with Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs (D). The Biden administration in July proposed heat protections that would mandate employers provide indoor or shaded rest areas, drinking water and breaks once temperatures surpass 90 degrees Fahrenheit. “Once again, the Administration is all talk, no action when it comes...

You have probably heard about the serious attempt by ISIS sympathizers to carry out a terrorist attack at a Taylor Swift concert in Vienna and the cancelation of that leg of her tour. Two teens, aged 17 and 19, have been arrested and a 15-year-old has been taken in for questioning. A search of one of the residences of the suspects revealed chemicals and materials to construct homemade explosives. “The situation was serious, the situation is serious. But we can also say: A tragedy was prevented,” Austria’s Interior Minister Gerhard Karner said Thursday. The New York Post is reporting that...

Matt Orfalea, who often works with Matt Taibbi, did a deep dive on Twitter on the Biden campaign's brainwashing operation to convince Americans that Biden was mentally fit. By now it is obvious to even the meanest intelligence that Biden is gone, and once the scales have fallen from your eyes it's clear that he has been declining for about 5-7 years. He is worse now, but in 2019 and 2020 the Biden campaign had data showing that Americans had already noticed that he was no longer all there. If you look at videos from his time as Vice President,...

Iconic American motorcycle's muscular image and value of its bikes face headwinds ============================================================== Harley-Davidson is facing biker backlash over fears that the American motorcycle manufacturer born with the renegade image is now identifying as woke. "@harleydavidson has been one of the most beloved brands in America but recently on CEO Jochen Zeitz’s watch, they’ve gone totally woke," filmmaker Robby Starbuck shared with his more than 528,000 followers on X in late July. The bike brand's apparent decision to volunteer for the culture wars in America has been a high-octane topic at the 84th annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota...

The top practitioners of critical race theory just held a weeklong “summer school” in Nashville to strategize, assess the movement, and debate how best to proselytize the next generation. It was an instructive six days of revolutionary agitprop. Two things immediately stood out. The first is that, yes, despite its protestations to the contrary, the architects of CRT know they must focus intently on those who participate in the teaching profession. If CRT is a tool to be used for “revolutionizing a culture,” as its intellectual godfather, Derrick Bell, once put it, it must be implemented by teachers starting in...
