Nancy Pelosi supports Joe Biden. That’s not a shocking statement, Pelosi has always put party over country. But this time, she’s also defending herself. If Biden, 81, is too old to serve, what does that say about Pelosi, 84? Democrats have to cover for Joe Biden because to admit he’s too old to do the job would be to admit their whole leadership is too old to do the job. I realize Democrats in the House of Representatives have “new” leadership, with Hakeem Jeffries being the new Minority Leader and…can you name any of the others? Honestly, can you? If...

The View moderator Whoopi Goldberg missed today’s episode of the ABC daytime talk show after testing positive for Covid, cohost Joy Behar announced at the top of the live broadcast. “You might have noticed Whoopi is not here,” said Behar, “because Whoopi has tested positive for Covid. You know, it’s going around still. So you have to be careful!” (Goldberg appeared later in today’s episode during a pre-taped interview with The Boys‘ Antony Starr). Goldberg’s latest bout with Covid appears to be her fourth. In September 2023, she addressed her third run-in with the coronavirus by sending a video message...

Prominent antisemitic conservative Candace Owens has ignited a storm of controversy with new remarks about World War II and the Holocaust, in which she essentially defended Adolf Hitler and infamous Auschwitz mangler Joseph Mengele. In a YouTube episode titled, “Literally Hitler. Why Can’t We Talk About Him?”, Owens downplayed the atrocities committed by Nazi Germany while criticizing the Allies’ actions post-war. She questioned the taboo surrounding discussions about Hitler, saying, “We have been indoctrinated and we actually know nothing about the person other than the fact that we must fear him.” Owens suggested that education about Nazi Germany is a...

Ingrid Ciprián-Matthews said she would stay on through the presidential election as a "senior editorial adviser." Ingrid Ciprián-Matthews, who has been president of CBS News since August, announced her resignation Wednesday morning. Ciprián-Matthews gave notice just days after the network’s parent company, Paramount, agreed to merge with the production company Skydance Media. In an emailed memo to staffers, Ciprián-Matthews said she will be "transitioning to a new role" at CBS. "I have gladly agreed to stay on through the election as a senior editorial adviser to CBS News, given the historical significance of this election and the current political moment,"...

The media’s umpteenth month of mishandling CPI data to protect the Biden White House comes as no surprise. Contrary to the corporate media cabal’s desperate attempt to paint the Consumer Price Index report for June 2024 as a sign that inflation “cooled” and will continue “cooling” and “slowing” the closer the nation gets to November’s presidential election, Americans are still paying higher prices on basic day-to-day goods and services than they did in the last four years. When the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released its latest inflation index showing a 0.1 percent decrease in prices from May 2024 to...

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has arrested a woman following violence that took place outside Astro Skate in May. On Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 9:20 p.m., our Communications Center received a call from an off-duty HCSO deputy that a large crowd of 500 people had shown up to Astro Skate in Brandon, where several violent fights had broken out. With further investigation, deputies have now arrested Stephanie Pedroso, 36, for her part in inciting the violence that took place that night. Deputies also arrested Pedroso's husband, James Knight II, 38, on an unrelated charge of Driving with License Suspended,...

The network said it agreed to the Biden campaign’s request to make two edits to its interview with the president ahead of broadcast. The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported Thursday that Civic Media said its decision to make the tweaks fell short of “journalistic interview standards.” Per the station, the campaign asked to remove a portion where Biden referenced having “more Blacks in my administration than any other president” and a reference to the Central Park Five case, the group of teenagers wrongly convicted of raping a white jogger in a brutal attack more than three decades ago.

The list of things going wrong for the Democrats seems to keep piling up by the minute, and this latest news could be detrimental to not just the top-of-the-ticket but also down-ballot candidates. Michael Pruser focuses on turnout and voter registration for Decision Desk HQ, and he released a list of all party Due to Gov. Ron DeSantis' leadership, Florida has turned from a swing state to a red state under his governorship, but that was not the biggest surprise from the June voter registration changes. The state that had the biggest Republican registration total was the blue state of...

The Biden administration designated a Venezuelan gang a transnational criminal organization on Thursday. The Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control accused Tren de Aragua of human trafficking, gender-based violence, money laundering and drug trafficking. It is offering up to a $12 million reward for information that leads to the arrest or conviction of Tren de Aragua’s leaders. Any property or interests in property that Tren de Aragua has in the U.S. or that are in possession of people from the U.S. “must be blocked and reported” to the Treasury Department, as a result of the sanctions accompanying the group’s...

WASHINGTON — Several of President Joe Biden’s closest allies, including three people who are directly involved in efforts to re-elect him, told NBC News they now see his chances of winning as zero — and the likelihood of him taking down fellow Democratic candidates growing. “He needs to drop out,” one Biden campaign official said. “He will never recover from this.” For two weeks, Biden has struggled to stabilize his campaign following a late-June debate debacle. His ongoing clean-up effort, which is scheduled to include top aides meeting privately with Democratic senators and a presidential news conference Thursday, has done...

Former White House press secretary turned MSNBC anchor Jen Psaki said the country would reject Vice President Kamala Harris as a replacement for President Biden because there is a "sexist and racist" electorate in the U.S. Psaki described Harris as the best alternative to Biden at this stage of the presidential race. “I don’t why there hasn’t been kind of an overwhelming ‘Kamala would be a great president and she would be a fierce, amazing campaigner,’ right? But that’s not typically the message. I’m observing what people are saying. It’s typically ‘don’t take it away from Kamala Harris if it’s...

A research team has found a way to reduce leaking during periods by making the blood itself harder to spill out. Left: A cotton gauze stockinette coil filled with the team's powdered biomaterial. Right: The powder-filled coil inserted into a menstrual cup. © Bryan Hsu The future of menstruation may look a bit different than today, if a team of scientists in Virginia have anything to say about it. They’ve created pads and cups that can solidify menstrual blood rather than simply absorb or contain it as is. Their innovation should reduce leaking and spillage, while also being environmentally friendly,...

I have a lot of college educated White friends --- nearly all of them liberals/Democrats. They are posting maniacs right now on facebook => 20-30 memes a day for most of them. They are an echo chamber of the Trump is a Nazi, Republicans' pending neo-fascist plan in Project 2025 is dangerous stuff, the Heritage Foundation is the real deep state, this is the end of Democracy, etc. ad nauseum. It's emotion, emotion, emotion ALL the time with little to no reality in it. So I asked a guy that I know if he remembers asking me to visit him...

Supermarkets in multiple states are now selling firearm ammunition right out of a dispenser. VIDEO AT LINK.................... Americans love guns. Not only do roughly 40 percent of Americans say they live in a household with guns, but the U.S. beats out every other country on Earth when it comes to the ratio of guns to people (the 2nd most gun-dense country is Yemen, and it’s not even close). Indeed, the U.S. is actually the only country in the world that has more firearms than people. Congratulations, everybody. Given all that, it’s really not surprising that, in some states, you can...

Maryland State Police officers who responded to a car crash involving Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) discussed how the lawmaker was speeding when he collided with another vehicle, according to body-camera footage released for the first time Thursday. The video from the June crash captured heavy damage to Fetterman’s black Chevrolet Traverse and the back of a red Chevrolet sedan. “The black car is, it’s actually, I think the senator of Pennsylvania — the real big, tall guy. ... He just ran into that red car,” a first responder is heard saying in the video

CNN talked to more than two dozen current and former Democratic officials, donors and longtime Biden allies, all of whom spoke on condition of anonymity to avoid alienating Biden and discuss sensitive health matters verboten by the White House. While it’s clear the president had aged in the past year, none of them said they had seen the version of Biden, faltering and dazed, that showed up at last month’s debate. In many of these conversations, sources blamed the president’s inner circle of advisers and family for what they said has become a painstakingly choreographed daily operation designed to prevent...

People today are much cleverer than they were in previous generations. A study of 72 countries found that average IQs rose by 2.2 points a decade between 1948 and 2020. This stunning change is known as the “Flynn effect” after James Flynn, the scientist who first noticed it. Flynn was initially baffled by his discovery. It took millions of years for the brain to evolve. How could it improve so rapidly over just a few decades? The answer is largely that people were becoming better nourished and mentally stimulated. Just as muscles need food and exercise to grow strong, so...

Using Allan Lichtman's "13 Keys the the White House", both Biden and Harris will lose. And lose decisively. Allan Lichtman wrote "13 Keys the the White House" in 1981. His model has accurately predicted every election from 1980 to 2020. I was a 1980s student of Lichtman, his book was part of a class. I do take exception to his conclusion about 2020 election, where he forecast Trump losing. An honest appraisal of the 13 keys favored Trump but missed the steal. Moving forward to 2024, Trump now challenges either Biden or likely Harris. Lichtman's model says that if 8...

A whopping three people showed up at a Biden for President rally at the Pennsylvania State Capitol with legislators on Thursday. “Biden for President–Reproductive Freedom: Members of the PA State Legislature will join Amanda Zurawski and Kaitlyn Joshua — two women denied life-saving abortions due Donald Trump’s abortion ban–for a reproductive freedom rally,” the announcement said. Three people showed up.
