Happy Tuesday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. Elszencia felt that her raspberry crumble was finally ready for Nibbler's Row at the Tri-Village Biennial Flea Market. On Monday's episode of "Five O'Clock Somewhere" my friend Stephen Green and I were discussing the fact that neither of us is completely convinced that the first 2024 debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden is going to happen, even though it's only days away. As we have discussed many times, nothing should ever be ruled out in this most insane of election years. If it does happen as scheduled, Stephen will be doing one...

A conservative legal group fired off letters to officials in every state in the country Monday urging them to enforce existing laws that prevent non-US citizens from registering to vote or casting ballots in elections, The Post can exclusively reveal. America First Legal (AFL) wrote to chief elections officers, secretaries of state, attorneys general, lieutenant governors and governors on Monday, calling on them to verify immigration statuses on voter rolls using Department of Homeland Security data — and boot any non-Americans they find. “If DHS fails to respond to an inquiry, you can sue in federal court to obtain the...

While she was recovering from the birth of her first child and unable to vote, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna learned of an obscure House procedure that could see Attorney General Merrick Garland arrested. Frustrated that the DOJ hasn't acted on the House holding Garland in criminal contempt earlier this month, she will force a vote on an 'inherent contempt resolution' this week. The criminal contempt resolution referred Garland to his own Justice Department for criminal charges after he refused to hand over the audio of Biden's special counsel interview. But the DOJ quickly announced it will not act on the...

A woman has admitted that her husband was stealing from a truck in the middle of the night last week — but she's questioning why the owner fatally shot him. Police in Tulsa, Oklahoma, are investigating what went down around 2:15 a.m. Wednesday in the area of the 9200 block of East 90th Street, the Broken Arrow Sentinel reported. A report from KOTV-DT indicates the fatal shooting happened near 91st and Mingo. On her first day after moving from Australia to the United States, Elizabeth Dunford walked into a supermarket to buy bread. As a researcher of food additives, she instinctively glanced at the ingredients label.“Why are there so many additives?” she exclaimed in surprise. Nearly every loaf she picked up contained ingredients that made her uneasy. After lingering by the shelves, she reluctantly chose a bag.“At that moment, I thought: It looks like I will have to choose the best from the worst when shopping in the future,” Ms. Dunford, project consultant for The George Institute for Global Health and adjunct...

There just are no words to describe what happens when these lithium-ion battery thingees of damn near any size get froggy and go fiery. Yeah, it's spectacular but I sure as hell don't want to be anywhere near them. The latest horrible mishap was this morning in Korea, at a Li-ion battery factory in an industrial center southwest of Seoul. Multiple powerful explosions set a lithium battery factory on fire in South Korea on Monday, killing 22 workers, most of them Chinese nationals, as it burned out of control for nearly six hours, fire officials said. The blaze ripped through a...

Julian Assange's 14-year saga as a fugitive and prisoner may be coming to an end. The Wikileaks founder has agreed to plead guilty to a felony charge with the U.S. Justice Department in exchange for no additional prison time. He has already served 5 years in a maximum security prison in England after spending 7 years hiding in an Ecuadorian Embassy. Assange would only agree to a hearing outside of U.S. soil. Last month he won his right to appeal an extradition order. High Court judges Victoria Sharp and Jeremy Johnson ruled for Assange after his lawyers argued that the...

As former President Donald Trump prepares to announce his Vice Presidential pick at the Republican National Committee Convention, there are a couple of choices he could make that would improve his chances of winning. One of those finalists to become Trump's VP is J.D. Vance. He is a military veteran and U.S. Senator from Ohio, embodies the values of the working class, and has a strong understanding of Trump's political vision. Vance's political acumen and alignment with Trump on key issues, such as foreign policy and border security, make him a strong candidate. Vance being on the ticket would bolster...

As the war situation gets more difficult by the day, and against the background of his expired Presidential mandate in May, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has his reasons to be worried about being driven out of power the hard way. To prevent this outcome, the embattled leader is ordering a complete purge of the Department of State Protection, after members were arrested on suspicion of plotting assassinations. Reuters reported: “President Volodymyr Zelensky told the new chief of Ukraine’s state guard service to clear its ranks of people discrediting it after two of its officers were accused of plotting to assassinate...

The US-made long-range ATACMS missiles supplied by the Joe Biden Administration from hell to Kiev may not be the game changer they expected, but it sure turned the Day of the Holy Trinity holiday into a bloody tragedy on a Crimean beach. Russia immediately stated that the US was responsible for the attack with five missiles that killed four people, including two children, and injured 151 more. Reuters reported: “The Russian Defense Ministry said four of the U.S.-delivered Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) missiles, equipped with cluster warheads, were shot down by air Defense systems and the ammunition of a...

The Florida Panthers made history Monday night in front of more than 19,000 fans at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida, beating the Edmonton Oilers 2-1 to win their first Stanley Cup. As expected, Game 7 was a hard-fought contest with both teams going toe to toe throughout the game. Panthers' Sam Reinhart and Carter Verhaeghe scored goals, Sergei Bobrovsky made 23 saves. This time, they were on the right side of history — after avoiding what would have been a historic collapse. @Mike_Pence Julian Assange endangered the lives of our troops in a time of war and should have been prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The Biden administration’s plea deal with Assange is a miscarriage of justice and dishonors the service and sacrifice of the men and women of our Armed Forces and their families. There should be no plea deals to avoid prison for anyone that endangers the security of our military or the national security of the United States. Ever
