President Joe Biden demanded an “immediate ceasefire” from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a phone call on Thursday between the two leaders, threatening a loss of U.S. support for the war if Israel does not comply. A Muslim emergency medicine physician, Dr. Thaer Ahmad, said he walked out of a meeting with President Joe Biden on Wednesday because of disagreements over the Hamas-Israel war. The symbolic action underscores the deepening division within the Democrats’ intersectional coalition over the Palestinian conflict. Only 47 percent of Democrats approve of Biden’s handling of the Hamas-Israel war, a recent Gallup poll found, down 13 points since October, underscoring a major problem for Biden’s reelection chances. Ahmad turned his back on Biden out of respect for his fellow Palestinians, he told NPR. He said the White House needs to do more...

Democrats in Colorado’s Senate passed legislation barring licensed concealed carry permit holders from being armed for self-defense in five new places on Wednesday. The bill, SB 24-131, uses the moniker “sensitive places” to describe the new areas in which licensed concealed carriers will not be allowed to have guns to defend their lives. KDVR quoted state Sen. Sonya Jaquez Lewis (D), a SB 24-131 cosponsor, saying, “We aligned the bill with the Supreme Court rulings of Bruen and Heller. So now the five sensitive spaces are legislative assemblies, polling centers, schools, government buildings and courthouses.”

Now that former President Trump is the Republican nominee for President in 2024, it’s time for Republicans, including those who doubt him or even can’t stand him, to get behind him. The times demand it. We are in a war, fighting an enemy of revolutionaries that kick and spit on America. I call our enemy the “woke regime” or the “group quota regime.” This war is a contest between those who love America and those who hate it. But we do not have a commander-in-chief. You can’t win a war without one... Trump is the most towering figure of our...

Donald Trump’s domination of last week’s primaries made it official: He has successfully routed the GOP establishment. Some would argue, with ample evidence, that this happened a long time ago. Particularly in Congress, the party is divided into three sometimes overlapping factions: Reaganites, pragmatists and populists, the last being Trump’s “MAGA” faction. Politicians from the first two groups have been retreating, retiring or reinventing themselves in Trump’s image for years now

On the heels of a new study regarding young people with gender dysphoria, Democrats issued a warning to parents to transition their kids quickly before they grow out of it. The new study, which revealed a large percentage of young people with gender dysphoria eventually come to accept their actual gender, has created a new sense of urgency within the Biden administration to make sure parents take action now so that as many children can be transitioned as possible before it's too late. "Chop ‘em up now, folks," Biden said in a statement to American parents. "Let me be clear....

GPS is being blocked across swathes of Israel in order to disrupt missiles and drones, as tensions rise with Iran. Iran has vowed to respond after a strike on its consulate building in Syria on Monday - which Israel was widely believed to be behind - killed 13 people, including a senior general. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) also announced it was halting all leave for soldiers serving with combat units. It comes a day after reservists were called up to bolster air defence units. Israeli authorities seem to believe an Iranian response is imminent and could come as soon...

A South Florida pastor arrested for sexually assaulting an impaired teenage girl missed his arraignment and is now believed to have fled the state, authorities said Monday. A group of Senate Democrats is calling on President Biden to take more action to address the humanitarian issues in the Gaza Strip, arguing the U.S. has the resources to provide more aid and prevent “further suffering” of civilians. In a letter dated Wednesday, Democratic Sens. Elizabeth Warren (Mass.), Jeff Merkley (Ore.), Chris Van Hollen (Md.), Dick Durbin (Ill.) and Peter Welch (Vt.) asked Biden to “drastically increase” the supply of medicine and medical equipment going into Gaza to “address the medical crisis” there. “The crisis on the ground has only worsened after Israeli raids on hospitals, and continued fighting...

The resurrection of Jesus from the dead is the cornerstone of historic Christianity. But is there scientific evidence it really happened? Some scholars believe that yes, there is and it’s in a cathedral in Turin, Italy. The Shroud of Turin, a linen cloth 14 feet by 3 feet, contains the image of a man who was badly scourged, was crucified, wore a crown of thorns, and was stabbed in the chest with a Roman lance. Of course, all of these wounds fit what the Bible says happened to Jesus. Is the Shroud of Turin Jesus’ actual “clean linen shroud” given...

Human Rights Watch said Thursday that an Israeli strike on an apartment building in Gaza City last October was an “apparent war crime,” citing no military rationale behind the attack after a months-long investigation. The Oct. 31 strike killed at least 106 civilians, including 54 children, Human Rights Watch (HRW) said in its report. The report “found no evidence of a military target in the vicinity of the building at the time of the Israeli attack, making the strike unlawfully indiscriminate under the laws of war,” the group said. “Israeli authorities have provided no justification for the attack.” The findings...

Richard Slayman, 62, is the first patient to receive a kidney from a genetically modified pig. Two weeks after the procedure, he was well enough to be discharged, doctors said. The first patient to receive a kidney transplanted from a genetically modified pig has fared so well that he was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday, just two weeks after the groundbreaking surgery. The transplant and its encouraging outcome represent a remarkable moment in medicine, scientists say, possibly heralding an era of cross-species organ transplantation. Two previous organ transplants from genetically modified pigs failed. Both patients received hearts, and both...

The Episcopal Church is an apostate denomination. In August 2022, they passed a resolution affirming sex change surgeries for children of any age. Because apparently mutilating children’s bodies to fit a certain ideology is a top priority for this “Christian” denomination. Patrick Burke is the Rector at the Episcopal Church of Saints Andrew and Matthew in Wilmington, Delaware. He holds a Master of Divinity from Bexley Seabury Seminary in Chicago and has devoted his entire life to merging sexual immorality and Marxist concepts with professing Christianity, where he advocates for abnormal sexual behaviors such as “transgenderism” and attempts to mainstream...

World Central Kitchen (WCK) founder José Andrés has accused Israeli forces in Gaza of targeting his aid workers "systematically, car by car". Monday's strike which killed seven members of his staff was not a mistake, he said, repeating that Israeli forces had been told of their movements. WCK workers from Australia, Canada, Poland, the UK and the US were killed as well as their Palestinian colleague. Israel says the strike was a "grave mistake" and has apologised.

The presidential race may be the big story this year, but control of the House and Senate are also at stake. Many believe that Democrats are favored to win control of the House, but Republicans have their best shot of not only winning control of the U.S. Senate but also winning a majority that is likely to last for several cycles. And recent developments suggest that Republicans could flip a few more seats than expected. The first seat is in Nevada—a state I'd pretty much given up on, even though Trump had only barely lost it in 2020 and 2016....

The question differs from how the MAGA movement affected the US and the world. Instead, this was posted with the intent to focus on what MAGA ruined for individuals, and some answers are genuinely heartbreaking. Empathy One person on Reddit wrote how MAGA ruined their empathy. They said, “I don’t care about their point of view. I don’t care to see it in another light. I don’t care about finding common ground. The only reason I can bring myself to care about some natural disaster in a red state anymore is to remind myself that X amount of people didn’t...

It was a terrible quake that struck near Hualien City, Taiwan, just as the workday was beginning on Wednesday. Details aren't yet complete but, so far, nine people have been reported killed, over a thousand more injured, and 152 trapped in damaged buildings, quarries, and other places. At 7.4 on Richter Scale, the Hualien shifter was three times more powerful and released 5.6 times more energy than the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake that dropped part of San Francisco's elevated Embarcadaro freeway, killed 63 people, and injured 3,757 more. “It was pretty scary,” a visiting American told NBC News. “In all...
