10 Times The Censorship Industry Suppressed The TruthThe era of online censorship was fueled by media-driven panics about “fake news” and “disinformation.” The focus of fear switched many times, from the spy-thriller narrative of Russian agents spreading disinformation intended to undermine U.S. elections, to “conspiracy theorists” questioning the official response to COVID-19 and undermining “election integrity” by raising concerns about mail-in ballot fraud.Eventually, these narratives led to the censorship of true information. The Foundation for Freedom Online has compiled some of the top examples:1. Targeting of Domestic “Malinformation.” There are three categories used by the censorship industry and its government...

Where do you go if you are not at school, work or home? For some, the answer is, well, nowhere. With the growing cost of living, the prevalence of social media and the residual social-distancing mentality from the pandemic years, third places, or locations designed for socialization, have largely disappeared.

Focus Ireland is hoping to help thousands of homeless people to register to vote ahead of the local and European elections in June. Focus Ireland’s director of advocacy, Mike Allen, said that there are around 9,500 homeless adults in Ireland and many of them would not be registered to vote. The charity is now hoping to change that as voting registration was simplified after the Electoral Reform Act was passed in 2022. More than 50,000 Irish people have spent at least one night of their lives homeless, according to figures published by Focus Ireland. …

LA GRANGE, IL – A Brookfield woman who wanted to administer justice involving "an eye for an eye" attacked others earlier this month at a La Grange gym, local police said. Karen T. A responding officer recognized Olowu from a previous incident in which she committed aggravated battery, police said....

Climate: The Movie (The Cold Truth) - Martin Durkin . This film exposes the climate alarm as an invented scare without any basis in science. It shows that mainstream studies and official data do not support the claim that we are witnessing an increase in extreme weather events – hurricanes, droughts, heatwaves, wildfires and all the rest. It emphatically counters the claim that current temperatures and levels of atmospheric CO2 are unusually and worryingly high. On the contrary, it is very clearly the case, as can be seen in all mainstream studies, that, compared to the last half billion years...

The real estate rollercoaster is hitting some unexpected twists and turns, with February delivering a double whammy of unsettling news. Brace yourselves: layoffs have skyrocketed a jaw-dropping 410% compared to last year, hitting levels not seen since the gloomy days of 2009. And guess what? The housing market is feeling the aftershocks big time. Picture this: home inventory levels have ballooned by 24% from this time last year, painting a landscape flooded with “For Sale” signs. But hold on, it gets wilder. The Sunbelt, known for its sunny skies and hot markets, is now facing a deluge of available properties,...

Fox News is amplifying a racist conspiracy on the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse. Because of course it is. At about 1:40 a.m. EST on Tuesday, a 1,000-foot cargo ship careened past large concrete obstacles ahead of Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge, colliding with one of its structural pillars and toppling it into the Patapsco River. Mere hours later, conservatives were already hurling their racist conspiracy theories against the wall to see what sticks. In an early morning broadcast, Fox Business attempted to tie the horrific situation—which was deemed a developing mass casualty event by the Baltimore City Fire Department—to...

NBC News is already planning to drop ex-RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel as a contributor following backlash from inside the network, reports claim. The former top Republican has responded by seeking legal representation after the sudden ousting, as reported by Puck News. It comes after the network's top political analyst Chuck Todd erupted into an on-air rant about McDaniel's hiring, particularly taking issue with her support for Donald Trump's false 2020 election fraud claims.

It's a good idea to wash carrots after they're pulled from the ground because they might have some dirt on them. They don't typically come with more than a ton of methamphetamine, but you can never be too careful. A 44-year-old truck driver is in federal custody after he allegedly tried to cross into the U.S. from Mexico at the Otay Mesa border checkpoint in San Diego with roughly 3,000 pounds of meth hidden amid a large shipment of carrots. The driver arrived in a commercial tractor trailer just before noon on March 17 with a valid border crossing card...

President Biden vowed Tuesday to rebuild Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge after it collapsed into the water when a cargo ship rammed into it, echoing what some Maryland officials said earlier but adding that he expects the federal government to foot the bill. “It’s my intention that the federal government will pay for the entire cost of reconstructing that bridge, and I expect the Congress to support my effort,” Biden said in remarks at the White House. “This is going to take some time, but the people of Baltimore can count on us though to stick with them at every...

In the wake of Laken Riley’s murder in Georgia, Athens-Clarke County Mayor Kelly Girtz condescendingly dismissed suggestions from the public and media that his county’s refusal to cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) may have been a contributing factor. He also insisted that Athens-Clarke County is not a sanctuary jurisdiction, stating, “The term ‘sanctuary city’ doesn’t have a sole legal or procedural definition. That term means different things to different people, depending on the context of the discussion.”Actually, the term “sanctuary city” doesn’t have any legal or procedural definition. Under the Supremacy Clause of the 10th Amendment, “The powers...

Over the past year, Team Biden has been conducting war games, crafting complex legal strategies, and devoting extensive resources to prepare for, as one former senior Biden administration official puts it, “all-hell-breaks-loose” scenarios. The preparations include planning for a contingency in which Biden’s margin of victory is so razor-thin that Trump and the GOP launch a tidal wave of legal challenges and political maneuvers to rerun his 2020 election strategy: declare victory anyways, and try to will it into existence. “President Biden has been worried, for a while now, that Donald Trump is going to try to steal the election,...

Somehow, New York Times economics propagandist Paul Krugman managed to one-up himself on his really bonkers Bidenomics hot takes. Millions of illegal border crossings? Humanitarian crisis? No problem, suggested Krugman in his March 19 piece, “Are Immigrants the Secret to America’s Economic Success?” In his wild logic (if you even want to call it that), Krugman blathered how supposedly “the very surge in immigration that has nativists so upset has played a big role in increasing the economy’s potential.” Yes, he actually wrote that. Never mind the fact that foreign born employment is up at least 3.3 million above its...

Monday was a tough day for liberals. In the wave of wailings over a New York appeals court ruling that reduced Donald Trump's bond from $454 million to $175 million, few were more plaintive than the meltdown emanating from the author of Taking Down Trump. Tristan Snell is a former assistant Attorney General of New York and MSNBC analyst. It was so bad that it seemed as if another type of analyst would be needed to get him over the emotional toll the appeals court decision handed him.Contrast the wailing Snell on MSNBC below to the smug, smirking Snell who...

Assessing ‘Fiducia Supplicans’: The First 100 DaysMarch 27 marks 100 days since the Vatican published Fiducia Supplicans, an instruction on blessings of persons in irregular unions. And while the controversy it stirred in the Church in the West has somewhat abated, opposition to the document and how it was implemented continues apace.Cardinal Fridolin Ambongo Besungu of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, who drafted a pan-African bishops’ statement in January rejecting “blessings for same-sex couples in the African Churches,” has not relented in his criticisms, going so far as to say in a March 17 interview that the continent saw...
