Burglary has become decriminalised in some parts of the country.. failure to stop burglars threatens the police and public 'bond of trust'.. Police have failed to solve a single burglary in neighbourhoods across nearly half of England and Wales in the past three years, amid warnings the offence is being decriminalised. An analysis of police data from 30,100 neighbourhoods found that in 48.2 per cent, no break-ins had been solved in the three years ending March 2023. It comes ahead of an official report by Andy Cooke, His Majesty's chief inspector of constabulary, who has warned the failure to stop...

Have you seen or talked to any covid "bitter clingers" in 2023, just throwing the Obama phrase right back at them. I still see a few people wearing masks alone in the car and in the supermarket

The Milwaukee Brewers are on the verge of exploring relocation options as the team looks to renovate American Family Field. According to FrontOfficeSports, the team is seeking $448million worth of upgrades to the stadium that was opened in 2001. While relocation is not the go-to move, it appears that MLB commissioner Rob Manfred is pressuring Wisconsin state officials to provide funds by indicating the team could look to move as early as this fall. American Family Field - formerly known as Miller Park - broke ground in 1996 before its grand Opening Day in 2001. American Family Field - formerly...

Barack Obama told ex, ‘I make love to men daily, but in the imagination,’ letter shows Former President Barack Obama wrote of his own “androgynous” mind and “mak[ing] love to men daily, but in my imagination,” according to the redacted portion of a now-notorious 1982 letter, obtained by The Post. The more than 40-year-old letter to an ex-girlfriend recently resurfaced after Obama biographer David Garrow gave a long and winding interview on the one-time commander-in-chief. “In regard to homosexuality, I must say that I believe this is an attempt to remove oneself from the present, a refusal perhaps to perpetuate...

The US military has been struggling to recruit new members for years. I have reported on this various times and noted that the computer predicts that a US draft may be approved on September 29, 2024. This date marks 51.6 years from the precise day that President Richard Nixon ended the draft on January 27, 1973. The US military is already discussing the prospect of a “limited draft.” They are seeking 160,000 eligible people from a population of 30 million. The all-volunteer force has reached a “breaking point,” as Military.com put it, and the most effective way to solve the...

MARION — In an unprecedented raid Friday, local law enforcement seized computers, cellphones and reporting materials from the Marion County Record office, the newspaper’s reporters, and the publisher’s home. Eric Meyer, owner and publisher of the newspaper, said police were motivated by a confidential source who leaked sensitive documents to the newspaper, and the message was clear: “Mind your own business or we’re going to step on you.” The city’s entire five-officer police force and two sheriff’s deputies took “everything we have,” Meyer said, and it wasn’t clear how the newspaper staff would take the weekly publication to press Tuesday...

Imagining the Antichrist: Bishop Fulton Sheen and Vladymir Solovyov The Communists, the anti-Gospel and the anti-ChurchIn the recent years of these turbulent times, the number of articles presenting the insights of Bishop Fulton Sheen regarding the anti-Christ has multiplied. His interest is particularly linked to the impact that the Marxist-Leninist ideology, globally spread by the Communist Party, had both before and after the Second World War. Speaking about the polarization that will characterize that final period of history before the second coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ, he seems to see in the “red” ideology the binding force that will...

(Daily readings from the USCCB)Then the disciples approached Jesus in private and said, “Why could we not drive it out?” He said to them, “Because of your little faith. Amen, I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:19–20A man came up to Jesus, fell on his knees before Him and begged Jesus to cure his son who was possessed by a demon. The man explained that Jesus’ disciples had tried to...

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson is suggesting suburban communities step in and help with the city’s growing immigrant problem. Opponents say Johnson is holding contradictory public policy opinions on the city’s sanctuary status while at the same time – like his predecessor – moving immigrants to the suburbs. "We see some real support on the horizon," Johnson said in an Aug. 2 press conference, regarding landing spots for the thousands of immigrants the city has attracted in recent months. Johnson’s comments come as the state’s undocumented population has soared to an estimated 511,000. Chicago alone hosts around half that population, a...

On the morning of August 9th, at approximately 6 am, a SWAT team conducted a raid on the home of 75-year-old Craig Robertson. Robertson, a 300-pound Air Force veteran, had difficulty walking and used a cane. This fact alone would make an assassination attempt extremely difficult. However, he claimed to own a sniper rifle and his threats should not have been disregarded. Agents were attempting to serve him with an arrest warrant. Robertson was charged with making internet threats on the life of the president and other government officials. Reportedly the FBI attempted to enter the home with a battering...

Three doctors are suing the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for impeding their ability to treat their patients with ivermectin during the pandemic. The FDA argues that its actions ridiculing ivermectin did not impede its use by these doctors. Ashley Cheung Honold, a Department of Justice lawyer representing the FDA, said "the FDA never said doctors couldn't prescribe ivermectin to treat COVID. It just advised against it." She maintained that the FDA's tweet saying "'You are not a horse. You are not a cow. Seriously, y'all. Stop it.' Was a whimsical way of conveying important information. It was not a...

Six Miss Universe Indonesia contestants have filed complaints against pageant organizers following this year's pageant. Mellisa Anggraeni, an attorney who is representing the women, claimed five of the contestants were asked to take off their tops for “body checks” two days before the final round of this year’s pageant on Aug. 3, according to Reuters and CNN. At a press conference on Tuesday, Anggraeni alleged organizers said this was so they could “examine any scars, cellulite or tattoos on their bodies,” the BBC reported. The women also claimed they were photographed topless while men were present, per the outlets. "I...

On Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” White House National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby responded to concerns that the unfreezing of assets as part of a reported prisoner deal with Iran will incentivize Iran to take more Americans hostage by stating that “it’s not like the regime in Iran needed another excuse to see value in detaining Americans,” but acknowledged that there has been a “deeply concerning” rise in state-sponsored hostage-taking by countries like Iran.

On Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “All In,” host Chris Hayes commented on the appointment of a special counsel in the Hunter Biden probe and stated that U.S. Attorney David Weiss “could not effectively” try Hunter Biden for tax and gun crimes in the spot as U.S. Attorney he held before Friday. Hayes said, “The underlying evidence here is not really in doubt. Hunter Biden has been open about the fact that he’s made lots of mistakes while struggling with addiction, and he agreed to a plea deal, under which Hunter Biden would plead guilty to the tax offense and avoid...

The Heritage Foundation found that the United States’ current provision of $113 billion in aid to Ukraine costs $900 per American household. “The formal aid packages alone amount to a staggering $113 billion—roughly $900 per American household and almost 12 times the spending cuts promised by House leadership in the annual spending bills,” Richard Stern, the director of the Heritage Foundation Hermann Center for the Federal Budget, told the Daily Signal.
