The Detroit Board of Police Commissioners came out blasting facial recognition systems for being racist Thursday night. It is the latest fallout for the false arrest of a pregnant woman for a carjacking she had nothing to do with, leading to a current lawsuit. A vote to ban facial recognition for the Detroit police failed tonight, which would have kept the department from using it for a year. "This technology appears to be 'techno-racism,' it’s the new Jim Crow that’s falsely arresting innocent people here in Detroit," said Commissioner Willie Burton."This is the third incident here in the city of...

Scientific misconduct has enjoyed some limelight lately. The president of Stanford, Marc Tessier-Lavigne, resigned last month after a series of investigations exposed serious problems in his research; an independent review of Tessier-Lavigne’s work found no evidence that he falsified data himself but concluded that his research failed standards “of scientific rigor and process” and that he failed to correct the record on multiple occasions. And in June it was revealed that a scholar at Harvard Business School, Francesca Gino, was accused of having falsified research about – wait for it – honesty.Of course, scientific misconduct does not happen only at Stanford...

Dozens of Republican lawmakers in Utah have thrown their support behind a likely challenger to Utah Republican Sen. Mitt Romney. The Republican senator has faced declining poll numbers in the state and already has a primary challenger in the form of Riverton Mayor Trent Staggs. Romney has not announced his intent to seek reelection. Should he do so, he may face a formidable opponent in Speaker of the House Brad Wilson, who has formed a committee to explore a Senate bid against him, Fox News reported. That prospective bid, per the committee, has already earned the support of three-quarters of...

Getting high is becoming as American as apple pie. Half of U.S. residents have tried marijuana, and 17% currently smoke weed — both new highs since the tune-in drop-out 1960s, a new Gallup survey released Thursday revealed. The poll attributed the increases to growing acceptance of cannabis, with 23 states including New York, legalizing recreational use of weed and 38 states allowing the sale for medicinal purposes. “As marijuana has become more available to Americans and legal in an increasing number of states, their reports of use and experimentation have increased too. Now, half of the country has tried it,...

President Biden on Thursday is expected to ask Congress for billions of dollars of additional funding for Ukraine's defense, a move that will lead to drama in the fall given heavy GOP opposition to the unchecked war funding seen under Biden over the last 18 months."It’s definitely a very big point of contention," a senior House GOP aide told Fox News Digital. While there’s broad support for supplemental Ukraine aid in the Senate, it will be an uphill battle in the House, where Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., promised his narrow majority that he would not bring a supplemental Ukraine funding bill...

Ed Henry, the scandal-prone former Fox News host, has been benched at far-right television network Real America’s Voice, Mediaite has learned. Karyn Turk, Henry’s co-host on their show American Sunrise, has also been benched, sources said. The network insider added, “Astonishingly, neither the fans nor the sponsors were informed of this change. Ed Henry and Karyn Turk were left completely in the dark, only learning of their ousting when contacted by the RAV attorney, leaving both hosts astonished and disheartened by the unexpected shift in their roles.”

On December 1921 at 22 Hans Place in Knightsbridge, a treaty was signed between a provisional Irish Government and the British to create what was called the Irish Free State. However only six months later, a few hundred yards away in Eaton Place, an assassination occurred, the reverberations of which could be said to have helped start the Irish Civil War in 1922. At around midday of 22 June 1922, Field-Marshall Sir Henry Wilson unveiled a war memorial at Liverpool Street Station. He made a speech, quoted some relevant Kipling poetry and soon after returned by taxi to his home...

Here is the summary of the great changes and turmoil I saw in our future as it was explained to me in visions 30+ years ago during an NDE. The events are now rapidly unfolding. What this video fails to mention is that the human soul is a dipolar field like the earth.(masculine and feminine) Thus the earth changes are causing souls to be unshackled. This is the cause of all the gender identity issues and high divorce rate in the recent years. It's also the reason that evil is very active right now. The Matthew 13 weeds are here....

A former Florida pastor has been charged with orchestrating the theft of $1.4 million worth of merchandise from Home Depot and then selling the stolen goods on eBay as the state’s top law enforcement official highlights his apparent violation of one of the Ten Commandments declaring “thou shall not steal.” As explained in a statement published Monday by the office of Florida’s Republican Attorney General Ashley Moody, Pinellas County-based pastor Robert Dell was charged with leading a “multimillion-dollar theft ring” following an investigation from the Florida Organized Retail Crime Exchange taskforce and other state law enforcement agencies. According to Moody,...

While speaking with Bloomberg on Thursday, Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo discussed the July CPI report where inflation and core grew by 0.2% in the month, the same rate as the month before and the annual rate increased from 3.0% to 3.2% while annual core inflation dropped from 4.8% in June to 4.7% and said that we’ve seen “prices come down,” and “inflation keeps coming down” from the 9% headline numbers we had a year ago.

Thursday on CNN’s “The Lead,” anchor Jake Tapper told House Oversight and Accountability Committee chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) that he has not seen evidence President Joe Biden did anything illegal related to his son Hunter Biden’s business dealings. Tapper said, “So let’s pause it for the sake of argument that Hunter Biden is sleazy, and the president’s relatives tried to profit off the Biden family brand, something CNN has reported on. What’s new in this memo?”

Below is my column in The Hill on how the second indictment of Donald Trump could fail even if Special Counsel Jack Smith could prove that the former president knew that he was lying after the election. Proving his state of mind will be controversial, but, even if successful, it would not necessarily be determinative in the constitutional challenges to come. Here is the column:The latest federal indictment of former President Donald Trump was handed down this week with all of the authority of papal infallibility. Pundits lined up to proclaim that case as the greatest prosecution in history.Former Obama administration...
