U.S. Judge Lewis A. Kaplan says that former President Donald J. Trump may be said to have “raped” E. Jean Carroll, even though a jury specifically declined to find that he had done so in his recent civil trial in New York. Aaron Blake of the Washington Post reported the judge’s finding — approvingly, calling it a “clarification”: [Kaplan] says that what the jury found Trump did was in fact rape, as commonly understood. The filing from Judge Lewis A. Kaplan came as Trump’s attorneys have sought a new trial and have argued that the jury’s $5 million verdict against...

Many foundational pillars of society in the United States appear to be crumbling right now before our eyes, weakened by an erosive array of social, economic and political forces. The deterioration of traditional cultural norms and the social upheaval that’s followed — from the living room to classroom the boardroom — is no surprise to Ayn Rand scholars. The celebrated Russian-born American author and philosopher predicted with haunting accuracy many of the nation’s current crises. Among her observations: Government would encroach on parental rights, stifle academic and scientific research, and fuel a dangerous mentality of victimhood.

A month before he died in April 1994, former President Richard Nixon wrote a letter to then-President Bill Clinton offering what Clinton later called “wise counsel, especially with regard to Russia.” The contents of that letter have now been declassified by the Clinton presidential library and appear prophetic. In the seven-page letter, dated March 21, 1994, and discussed by history professor Luke Nichter in the Wall Street Journal, Nixon gave a blunt assessment of the political situation in Russia, predicting accurately that relations between Moscow and Kyiv would deteriorate and that someone like Putin could come to power. Nixon, 81...

Let's spell out the democrat platform for next year. They're not going to be honest about it, so it is incumbent upon us to be. There will be real pressure put on biological white women to end their pregnancies, in order to save the planet. Fewer people means less carbon. White women, especially liberal white women, will dutifully comply, thinking they're doing something. The children of the surviving pregnancies will be pressured into changing gender from the age of 2 because Rachel Levine believes they're all assuming the wrong gender. Levine says there's nothing to worry about. “I want to be...

A Russian fighter jet flew “dangerously close” to a US drone over Syria and damaged it with flares, according to the US Air Force, in the latest in a series of incidents between the two militaries in the Middle East. On Sunday, Russian jets closed to within a few meters of a US MQ-9 Reaper drone that was taking part in an anti-ISIS mission over Syria. One of the jets began dropping flares in front of the US drone, severely damaging its propellor, the Air Force said. The drone’s crew was able to control the aircraft and fly it back...

It's official. The Republican Party is the party of Donald Trump not Ronald Reagan. Asked to pick their dream president from anyone alive, more than a third of New Hampshire G.O.P primary voters chose the New York property developer-turned politician. He easily beats the field of 2024 runners as well as wild cards such as Elon Musk or previous candidates such as Sen. Mitt Romney, the 2012 nominee. He even beats Ronald Reagan, often picked by conservatives as the greatest president of all time. Although given the fact he has been dead for almost 20 years he should not have...

The ghost of Ronald Reagan seems to be haunting — or at least consulting — Joe Biden’s White House. The administration’s recent embrace of the term “Bidenomics,” which echoes “Reaganomics,” seeks to turn a less-than-complimentary jab from the Wall Street Journal and Financial Times into a positive talking point about Biden’s economic accomplishments. Just before Biden delivered a major economic speech in Chicago last month, his press office announced that Bidenomics is “the word of the day, word of the week, word of the month, word of the year.” As a strategic move, however, this particular presidential coinage might not...

Dozens of people from all political parties, industries, and walks of life, not just Republicans, have corroborated Biden family corruption. The corporate media’s blackout on the ongoing Biden corruption investigation continued this week despite the publication of an unclassified document detailing President Joe Biden’s alleged involvement in an international bribery scheme. The propaganda press didn’t just ignore Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley’s sharing of the bombshell FD-1023 and the FBI’s ongoing attempts to stonewall its debut. Some outlets actually went out of their way to downplay the years of evidence accumulated in the Biden bribery investigation. The New York Times, which...

Biden vehemently denied ever talking business with his son ‘or with anyone else’ in the run-up to the 2020 election. President Joe Biden vehemently denied ever talking business with his son, “or with anyone else” in the run-up to the 2020 election. In fact, Biden even fat-shamed an Iowa voter who approached the subject during the Democratic primaries. On the debate stage with Donald Trump, the former vice president peddled conspiracies of Russian interference when emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop revealed otherwise. On Sunday night, the New York Post reported on anticipated testimony from Hunter Biden’s former business partner, Devon...

Poland has reiterated its claim on €1.3 trillion ($1.4tn) in damages caused by Germany’s invasion and occupation of its territory during the Second World War while making comparisons to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine that Berlin will likely find uncomfortable and has so far seemingly tried to ignore. Germany should lead by example on the Ukraine war and settle accounts with neighbouring Poland, which it invaded and occupied between 1939 and 1945, causing terrible harm and subjecting the nation to the Holocaust, Polish Secretary of State for Europe Arkadiusz Mularczyk has said.

The Case-Shiller home price numbers are out for May. The national home price index is down -0.46% YoY as The Fed slows M2 Money growth into negative growth territory. No doubt Biden (and Karine Jean-Pierre) will take credit for slowing home price growth, although The Federal Reserve slowing monetary stimulus is mostly responsible. The Fed is still slow walking shrinking its enormous balance sheet. Although The Fed is cranking up their target rate. The Taylor Rule suggests a 10.42 target rate to cool inflation. They are only half way there!!!
