Kiev’s Great Offensive has been unimpressive, to say the least. Ukrainian Defense Minister Aleksey Reznikov has claimed that he has yet to deploy the bulk of its Western-trained forces he keeps in reserve for this much-touted counteroffensive against Russian forces. They have only been able to capture a few small villages quite some distance from the major Russian defensive lines. The notorious Neocon, Lindsey Graham, says the counteroffensive is moving slowly but steadily. Reznikov boasts, “When it [the major push] happens, you will all see it… Everyone will see everything.” These are supposed to be the main troop reserves, including...

"For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven." "Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. "For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed,...

[Catholic Caucus] Saint Hildegard of Bingen about the Antichrist: A Pontifical Warning for our TimesIf there is a gift that Heaven has given to us through the pontificate of Pope Benedict XVI, that was not, in any case, the apostolic letter Summorum Pontificum (2007). Actually, such a gift could be a completely different and astounding one. It was the recognition of Saint Hildegard of Bingen a Doctor of the Church, an event that happened on October 7, 2012. But why would such an event be a heavenly gift? If we wish to comprehend the crisis in which not only our...

In 1776, patriots in the USA declared independence from England. In July, we honor those who started the ball rolling to give us the freedoms we enjoy today. We remember those heroes on July 4th. But with everything else we celebrate in America, is one day enough to honor the men and women who sacrificed their all that we might have our freedom? Hardly. Let’s declare the whole month of July to honor those patriots, living and dead, who made sacrifices for us. Let’s make July “Patriot Pride Month!” We owe it to them. Here’s what you can do to...

An avowed nerd, I first read about Raiders of the Lost Ark through the official Star Wars Fan Club newsletter, Bantha Tracks. That’s how I learned about a sneak preview showing — remember those? — a few days or maybe a week before the movie’s official release on June 12, 1981. Bantha Tracks gushed that the new movie — starring Harrison Ford, directed by Steven Spielberg, and co-written by George Lucas — was a thrill-a-minute throwback to serial flicks from the 1930s. I convinced my best friend Kevin to come with me, despite neither one of 12-year-old selves having much...
