CNN and the fake news legacy media were not the only losers last night. President Trump agreed to appear at a CNN town hall in New Hampshire on Wednesday night that turned into a lopsided debate win over CNN host Kaitlan Collins. Trump gave Kaitlan a thorough thrashing. But CNN was not the only loser last night. The DeSantis team posted comments following the debate where they revealed their support for the Democrats and administrative state. The DeSantis team came out in support of” ** politically motivated prosecutions ** FBI-DOJ interference in elections ** lawfare by the FBI, DOJ, CIA,...

As mass shootings become an almost ever-present part of the news cycle, the Supreme Court is expected to issue a ruling on a case any day now which “could legalize assault weapons and high-capacity magazines in all 50 states.” In the case in question, National Association for Gun Rights v. City of Naperville, a gun shop owner and a gun rights group have claimed that two Illinois statutes “violate the Second Amendment,” and now it’s on the shadow docket for the Supreme Court. But what exactly is the shadow docket? In a nutshell, the high court takes cases on either...

Former President Donald Trump said Wednesday on CNN’s town hall that “unless you’re a very stupid person, you see” the 2020 presidential election was “rigged.”Host Kaitlan Collins said, “Polls show that you are dominating the Republican race right now, but you are also under active federal investigation for trying to overturn the 2020 election results,” she said, referring to a probe into Trump’s actions after the election. “Your first term ended with a deadly riot at the Capitol, and you still have not publicly acknowledged the 2020 election result. Why should Americans put you back in the White House?”Trump said,...

The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits jumped to a 1-1/2-year high last week, pointing to widening cracks in the labor market, which together with subsiding inflation could allow the Federal Reserve to halt further interest rate increases next month. Cooling price pressures were underscored by other data from the Labor Department on Thursday showing producer prices rebounding modestly in April, leading to the smallest annual increase in producer inflation in more than two years. The reports suggested that demand was slowing and raised the risks of a recession later this year. “The Fed looks closer to...

The Environmental Protection Agency is set to impose increased carbon pollution standards that would slap new restrictions on coal and natural-gas power plants as the administration ramps up efforts to address climate change. Under the new rules, power plants would be required to strengthen current performance standards for newly built gas-powered combustion turbines. The plan also calls for establishing emission guidelines for states to follow in limiting carbon pollution from coal, oil and natural gas-fired plants. There would also be new emission guidelines for existing combustion turbines fired by natural gas.

To make it possible for cellular agriculture-the process of growing meat in bioreactors-to feed millions of people, several technical challenges will have to be overcome. Muscle cells from chicken, fish, cows, and other food sources will have to be grown to produce millions of metric tons per year. Toward this goal, researchers at Tufts University Center for Cellular Agriculture (TUCCA) developed immortalized bovine muscle stem cells (iBSCs) that can grow rapidly and divide hundreds of times, and possibly indefinitely. This advance, described in the journal ACS Synthetic Biology, means that researchers and companies around the globe can have access to...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) reacted angrily to Wednesday night’s CNN town hall featuring former President Donald Trump, blasting the network for hosting the event. AOC took to social media to attack CNN. “CNN should be ashamed of themselves,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. “They have lost total control of this ‘town hall’ to again be manipulated into platforming election disinformation, defenses of Jan 6th, and a public attack on a sexual abuse victim. The audience is cheering him on and laughing at the host.” “This falls squarely on CNN,” Ocasio-Cortez added. “Everyone here saw exactly what was going to happen. Instead, they put...

Wendy's (WEN) is gaining higher-income consumers even while inflation continues to plague the restaurant business. "The good news is we're seeing nice growth with the over $75,000 cohort, and we continue to hold nice share there," CEO Todd Allan Penegor said on a call with investors after Q1 2023 earnings were announced on Wednesday. The under-$75,000 consumers? The company, he said, has "maintained our share, but traffic is relatively flattish there." In Q1 U.S. same-store sales increased by 7.2% boosted by "continued" higher prices and year-over-year customer count growth in each month of the quarter. The food chain increased prices...

According to the outlet’s sources, Foxx, 55, may be in a worse condition than his team is letting on after suffering what some have said to be complications stemming from high blood pressure. “Jamie’s people are saying he’s doing OK and improving, while doctors try to get...

The supposedly evil energy source saves the day in Europe. Germany did itself and Europe a favor by managing to avert an energy-shortage recession this winter, and now we know how they did it: supposedly evil coal. Data released Thursday show coal’s role in electricity generation growing in Germany for the second year running. Coal accounted for 33.3% of electricity production in 2022, according to the Federal Statistical Office, up from 30.2% in 2021... coal’s resurgence started in 2020, before the Ukraine war triggered fears of a gas crisis. ... wind and solar don’t work when the winds are still...

President Trump appeared on far-left CNN for 70 minutes last night and just might have delivered the killshot to a propaganda outlet that was already taking a ten count in the ratings.Boy, was I wrong. Mea culpa, Mr. President. Mea Culpa. And you cannot imagine how happy I am to be so wrong. Even if Trump did well on CNN, I assumed this would still be a win for CNN. Well, it wasn’t. Instead, it was a catastrophe for the Hoax Network, which is why, right after the town hall; you could hear the tears of frustration in election meddler Jake...

Life under Biden. Bankrate’s 30-year mortgage rate is down slighty to 6.89%, but that masks the reality that mortgage rates were only 2.88% when Biden was sworn in as President. That is a staggering increase of 140 in the 30-year mortgage rate. In fairness to Unaffordable Joe, Congress went on a crazy spending spree with Covid, much of which had nothing to do with Covid. Green energy spending for the donor class is helping drive core inflation up 291% since Biden was installed as President. And yes, The Fed is playing catch up for former Fed Chair Janet Yellen’s “Too...
